Alright, so, I've been a NiGHTS fan for a while now, and I do own the original game, Saturn, and all that stoof.


Now, I know Soft Musuem, Frozen Bell, ETC are all dream scapes, but Im a bit confused with Twin Seeds. Really.
I don't know ifs it a reality, a dream, or both to be honest. I know the final level where you just play Elliot or Claris before Wizeman, it looks like you're flying over the city below. I think the level is also called Twin Seeds (im too lazy to get off my bum and turn on my Saturn) and so is the city the kids live in.

can.. anyone explain this? Dream, Reality, or both?


AND ONE MORE THING.

IN the final scenes, you have Elliot and Claris about to sleep, it zooms out their window, up the tower and BAM! J-Bird! So, can NiGHTS ALSO travel back and forth using the tower (I doubt it. Sounds too Archie-ish. *shiver* ) Or was this just an ending that just seemed to fit?

You know...I never really thought about that. I think WizeMan was trying to take over the waking world...So Twin Seed, I would have to say, is both.

I've always thought of it as being the real city, but some dreams are a lot like reality too. So maybe it could be either, or a little bit of both? There are no Nightopians, but there are blue chips and Ideya Captures, so that doesn't really help either case.

It's a game, so the fact that Claris and Elliot are flying in it doesn't really mean that it's a dream. But I do think that the Wizeman battle is closer to a dreamworld than reality.

I think I read somewhere (perhaps a/the manual. I forgot.) Twin Seeds in the game is suppose to be a Dreamworld counterpart of the Waking Twin Seeds, and the Dreamworld T.S. eventually came to be over time. As far as I know, Wizeman is about to enter the Waking Twin Seeds through the Dreamworld Twin Seeds, by using the Ideya, when Claris and Elliot come to Dreamworld Twin Seeds and the final level happens. But, I'm kinda unsure with that.....

As for traveling via the Twin Seeds tower...i doubt it. I think he got into the Waking, just not through the Tower. Once again, I'm unsure, mostly because the ending is left to the player's imagination....

I don't see any reason to believe that the Twin Seeds level took place in reality.

As for NiGHTS showing up at the end of the game, is it so hard to believe that he wasn't really there? Just a vision, that sort of thing?

For me, the bigger question is what role Twin Seeds will play in the sequel. We can tell just from looking at the new NP article that JoD takes place in a different city, but what does that mean? How will this change Claris and Elliott's involvement?

And will that clock tower serve as a new perch for NiGHTS? (Personally, I don't think that tower should be architecturally possible. Thank you, videogame physics).

I clearly see it as a dream. I mean, flying in space popping balloons sounds like a dream to me. :3 And seeing you have to collect Ideya and battle Wizeman are significant clues.
As for NiGHTS on top of Twin Seeds Tower, I never really thought about it much, but I think he was just there to do his trademark pose and such for the ending of the game and really has nothing to do with the story. But if you want to think of it differently I guess there could be another reason for his presence in Reality.

I take Twin Seeds (the level) to be a dream interpretation of the real Twin Seeds. I can only imagine some random Joe looking into the sky, seeing an Ideya Capture, and calling the cops or something.

I'd hafta agree with Twin Seeds taking place in the dreaming, but not just because of the balloons and such, cool as they are. ;3 Notice how the tower stretches like 100 feet above the actual city itself! Sure, perhaps even the mighty Saturn couldn't handle building detail and such, but hey, whatever works, right? LOL

Ah, and then it makes me wonder if something similar will happen in JoD..!

As for NiGHTS perching pretty at the end, I dunno. A nice ending shot? A sort of "dream vision" just before Elliott and Claris nod off once more? Tough call! But a pretty one, anyway!

I've always thought of it as a kind of mix. More dream than reality, but the reality is there in my opinion. I've always thought the patch of grass you start out on as a patch of reality. lol ^^
