I'm sorry, but I have been sitting on this for a while and it's been annoying me far more than my youngest brother. I've mentioned the game in another thread, but I didn't really touch upon it...
Has anyone heard of the Trauma Center series? It currently consists of 4 games that tell the stories of surgeons with a special power known as the Healing Touch, although only one of them has served as the main character in 3 of them. The first game Under the Knife (and its Wii remake Second Opinion) follows the exploits of a doctor who has finished his residency at an young age, Dr. Derek Stiles who at first was very laid back about his job until his assistant Nurse Angie Thomson came along. Shortly after discovering his Healing Touch (which allows him to slow down time... a handy power when a patient is millimeters from death), Dr. Stiles is recruited by the elite Caduceus hospital to help stop a new disease known merely as GUILT. In the Second Opinion game, however, Dr. Stiles is joined by a fellow surgeon from Caduceus Europe, Dr. Naomi Weaver.
The game's actual sequel could be said to be the fourth one, Under the Knife 2 (Zelda complex anyone?), where Dr. Stiles is brought back into the spotlight, training a new doctor and dealing with the remaining strains of GUILT. Its third game (which is set after the fourth game) New Blood, follows the adventures of two other doctors who also possess the Healing Touch, Dr. Markus Vaughn and Dr. Valerie Blaylock and their attempts to stop a new mysterious disease known as Stigma. I can't really tell you anything else since I would be spoiling it for myself as well.
Has anyone else played this game? Do you have any thoughts on this?

Heh, heh I can understand your pain completely! If it isn't the GUILT then it's the stupid tumors and stuff that has the irritating tendency to blow up in your face while you're struggling with something else. Which operation did you find the most frustrating and which one did you like?

Well, to be honest I never beat the first one. xD;;;
I gave up on the one where you first use that star-thingy by yourself to slow down time.
I'm slow and I'd always wind up killing the patient in some way or another. D:

Don't feel bad, I haven't beaten the first game either. So far, my sister and I are still on episode 4-10 (and I must admit that Victor's pretty cool). If you need any help, I know some videos and faqs that can help you. Do you have a favorite character?

I only have the first one for DS. I like it lots but that final boss is TOO DIFFICULT for me to have beaten. I should probably start trying again.

I have UtK and the Wii remake... haven't beaten either. Triti is too difficult for me to handle in the later missions, and I never got used to the Wii controls (and I may have barbequed a few patients with the defibrillator *cough*).

That Wizeman-created, Reala sanctioned, evil, menace-of-society strain Triti? Yeah, that one's difficult even in the Nintendo DS, due to the fact that I can't figure out the stupid pattern . Even after following the guides to the letter, something always seems to go wrong and more of those membranes and poison gas things appear than can be handled (that or time runs out). But I guess the difficulty of the game is what makes it kind of addicting, as being too easy wouldn't make you want to play it.
