This anime/manga series is awesome! I have all the volumes out so far! My favorite characters are Nodoka, Asuna, Evangeline, Chisame, and Setsuna! It's a shame that the anime comes out at a very limited rate! I mean, they only come out in OAVs nowadays! But at least they're animating some of the newest arc. Now I want to see the MahoraFest arc animated.

NO I never heard of it. Is it an anime I can look up in you tube or veoh so I can watch it? What is it about? I'm always looking for new anime.

It's basically about this ten year old prodigy who's an extremely talented mage going to teach an all girl's school, but he has to keep the fact that he's a wizard secret, but it's only a matter of time till most of them find out. Along the way, it starts off as a funny harem comedy in the vein of Love Hina meets Harry Potter, but then it turns more shonen-y by the time vol. 4 comes along, where the action starts. Then afterwards, there's this long ass arc called the MahoraFest arc which is kinda like the Soul Society arc from Bleach or the Chuunin Exam arc from Naruto in terms of length, that's where the manga REALLY starts to pick up. But then the first anime is only 26 episodes, where it follows the plot of the first 6 volumes, while cutting out some parts in between, and then makes up it's own ending, and the second anime, produced by SHAFT, is a mix between the actual series Negima and BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo, and has NOTHING to do with the actual manga plot. But then they're making OAVs that are true to the manga right now. So I'm hoping they make another season true to the manga.

Oh, and there's a live action series, but you won't care too much about that.

It's probably one of the greatest anime series ever made. You should definitely check it out if this sounds interesting to you.

One thing to note, though, is that it's pretty generous with fanservice in the manga (not sure about the anime). If you can get past that you should give it a try.

I think I saw apart of some of the episodes... one where someone dies and another where someones.... "chest" inflates and blows up (not gonna say anything more...)

I've seen a preview of it and it looks excellent.
However I have more anime than I can feasibly watch at the moment so I am buying none until I have depleted my "to watch" mountain of DVDs.
