I might as well write this up while I'm waiting for this stuff to upload. I consider myself a very well versed artist, as in I've never limited myself to just one medium. I started out drawing in graphite on paper, then went to using the computer, then went to painting and sculpture. I grabbed the bulk of the things that I was going to put in my portfolio to my school's Bachelor of Fine Arts program (you have to apply to get it, as it's a more focused version of the Bachelor of Arts degree), and decided I'd put it up here.

My final project for my digital art class last fall. Based on a dream inspired story I was writing but no longer am.

The gimmick is that you're supposed to rotate it and view it from all 4 angles.

This was another assignment for my fall computer art class. Done completely in Illustrator, and meant to mimic the cartoon cell style from the early 1990s.

I used a photo of my old dog as a reference.

Not exactly a class project. I did this as a mother's day gift for my mum. It's of the first eskie (American Eskimo Dog) our family rescued. Acrylic on Canvas.

I did it based off of a photo of Honey sitting on mum's Acura that was taken when I was 9. She passed away last summer, so I felt it would be a nice gift for mum. She and Honey were practically attached at the hip.

This was a large scale acrylic painting that I did to practice human anatomy. "Thy Embrace". The actual painting is almost 3 feet tall.

And yes... that is the grim reaper. Since I was a demented little wee lad, I've had a soft spot for the personification of Death (particularly Terry Pratchett's). For some reason I decided to make him a fuzzy brooding fellow. I like fuzzy brooding fellows. D:

Another acrylic painting of the characters from my Astrum Chronicles series.

The damn paint ran and they look like retarded Sonic fan characters. Which I assure you they're not :|

And my last acrylic I'm going to put up now. Another dream-based one, this time based on a dream I had a few years back. I thought it'd make a cool subject.

God-like figure is meant to represent the Shadow archetype, by Jung's theories, also factoring the collective unconscious which would account for his size..

Maybe more later. Let me know what you guys think.

Edit:

I got off my rear and scanned some more stuff tonight. The bulk of it inspired by TRiPPY's Engelbaum project.

This is a pencil sketch of my personal avatar. For the better part, that is what I look like... though one of my friends saw the sketch before I scanned it and said I don't look so angry. I'm probably going to color and use the full DPI sketch at some point.

NUMERATTI! I have no clue what they are or what they're supposed to look like, but I attempted it anyways! Common sense? Not for me ^_^

Thanks for the comments guys.

Ideya Fairy, I've got some funny stories about Thy Embrace's critique session if you'd be interested in hearing it :(

"I introduce you to.. Kimchi the Red.

Another of the protagonists of the Astrum Chronicles, Kimchi was born in the Agate Islands, upon the isle of Cyclopis. Daughter of the Topaz Sea pirate, Red Krout, Kimchi left her home with ambitions of becoming a pirate like her father. Despite her lack of seafaring smarts, Kimchi is skilled in making ridiculous weapons of her own design, her pop-flail being her trademark (and also the reason she lost one of her eyes). Class-wise, she is referred to as a Junk Gunner. She collects junk parts and trash during the course of the story and converts them into useful devices and weapons.

Also, for those curious, she's a Red Bobcat (Lynx Rufus Faciatus) ."

Me exploring the possibilities of what's under the faceplate.

It has not been a productive few months.
