I started a save file, and I got really far in the game.
I decide to take a brake, so I turned off my Saturn.
I come back and my save file is gone D:
Did I miss something? Such as a memory card, or a save point? Or is there something wrong with the game?

Hmm, it might have something to do with the saturns battery, I think. It serves to store the memory of games and if it doesn't work, no game saves. So maybe you should consider replacing it? I think it's a kind of watch battery so it shouldnt be too hard.
Assuming I'm remembering all this correctly, can anyone confirm?

Yep. I had to do that once. The battery is in the back of the Saturn, and doesn't take much effort to get out and put back in.

It's probably the battery. I use a cartridge back up memory to save my files, but replacing the battery should work as well.

why would u need a battery to save stuff, does saving require more power on the saturn?! that's messed up,i wonder what sega was thinking in 1995.
Sega:oooohh, lets put a battery in our sega saturn so it can save stuff with out a memory card
Employe:how does that make any sense?!
Sega:FEED HIM TO THE SHARKS!
Employe:AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Okay O: Then do I need to buy a new Saturn battery? Like type it into ebay and see what comes up? I need some specific things, like that
I hope they still sell them @__@

You need to buy a CR2032 battery...you can get them off of eBay but it's easier to go to a local shop and pick one up so you don't have to wait.

Yeah, it's probably the battery. I've had a ridiculous amount of Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games do this to me -- along with most of the old NES games. The older the system, the more likely it is that the battery is dead.
And if you have to change your battery, you'll loose your game save. If you haven't already. Worse -- when the batteries in a GAME pack go bad, you have to have the screwdrivers to take the game apart, and you have to solder the new battery in. (I know from experience. Ugh.)
Before 2003, Nintendo used round, flat watch batteries for saving information on the game cartridges. These batteries were replaced in newer cartridges because they could only live for a certain amount of time. That doesn't help the people who buy their games on e-Bay or a game store, though. My supposedly 'new' copy of Final Fantasy - Tactics Advance had a dead battery when it arrived on my doorstep.
Just to have it up here -- This is SOME of the basic batteries in gaming systems:
(By basic, I mean that these are the standard -- they can also come in rechargeable packs, and so on.)
For the CONSOLES:
----------------------
Microsoft XBOX 360 -- 4 AA NiMH batteries 3600 MAH. Can be bought in most convenience stores, I think. They also come in 'charging packs' online.
Nintendo Wii -- 1800mAh Battery for the WiiMotes is all I could find. They require a specific charging mechanism. Custom batteries for the console, but supposedly all of them are rechargeable via a USB cable.
Game Boy Advance SP -- Li-ion battery 3.8v 800mAh. Ordered online, I think.
Game Boy Advance -- Intec G1212, also ordered online, I think.
SEGA Saturn -- Small flat button cell battery. 3V LITHIUM ModelCR2032.
Game Boy Micro -- Custom Battery pack -- has to be ordered online.
Nintendo DS and DS Lite -- Custom Battery pack -- ordered online.
For the GAMES:
-----------------------
Super Nintendo -- Lithium battery (CR2032).
GBA/SP -- Though you're not supposed to, I've used a standard computer 3Volt CR2032 for them, but it makes the pack a little more bulky, and they don't like to fit back into the SP easily, when you're done. I'd strongly suggest getting the original battery -- but I still need to find out which one.
NES Games, SNES Games, Sega Master System Games, and Genesis Games -- CR2032 Watch Battery
GBC Games -- CR2032, again -- but if you will change a Pokemon battery, you might want a CR2025 instead of a CR2032 -- supposedly, they fit easier.
I've had to replace the batteries in 1 Game Boy pack, 1 Game Boy Color pack, and 2 Game Boy Advance packs -- all require a steady hand and a lot of time and concentration to replace. I hate that you have to break the pin to get the old battery out, and I hate that you have to solder the pin back in once you replace it. Several of my older NES/SNES/N64 games are trying to do the same thing -- I'm still doing some research on those batteries.
As I said before, since your problem is with the SEGA Saturn, you'll need some 3V LITHIUM ModelCR2032 -- the most commonly used battery for gaming consoles. You can buy them almost anywhere online -- but hardware stores and convenience stores should have them too.
Good luck, and I hope this helped.

Either you don't have a CR2032 battery in your Saturn or it's dead.
Basically what other people have said already...ugh.
