I also petitioned to play "Dreams Dreams", but no one seemed to want to play. It would probably be difficult anyways, the band only has eleven members - and that's very big for my school. One quick question for Realarox - does your school's band use Essential Elements music books?

Yes. Yes we do. It's funny-- every time my conductor says "Tempe--" EVERYBODY screams in excitement. XD Priceless. I've nver tried petitioning "Dreams Dreams"....I think we have enough people...it's easily over 26 members. I should try!

If any of you play an alto sax and need the first three notes to figure out "D,D" completely, they're:
A, B, high D with octave key.

I go to a suburban-area school, so it would probably be safe to say We have about, I don't know, about 50 kids in our band?

My school is so large, it has seven buildings, multiple overpasses, and has to have cafeterias in each main building. It has the Red building, the Green building, the Yellow building, the Azure building, the Core building, the Gym, and the Fine And Applied Arts building. The Red, Green, Yellow, and Azure have cafeterias.

O^O;; ...............MY GOD. Our Middle school and High school buildings are separated, but only by half a mile, if not less than that.

Since this is straying OT... *admin-hat* You can either get back on-topic, or continue and let me move this to the music-section in the Off Topic forum. Whichever you prefer.
*cowers from admin hat* Oh~ I sorry. ^-^;; I don't really know which forum would be better...so whichever you think. ._.?
Oh~ I remembered another one. 4: "All Through The Night" It's perfect for an Alto Sax, because it really showcases all the notes on a sax, if not most of them.
Sorry to hear about the Wii posting problem, Dreamer#96.

Anyway, like I said, I'm trying to get the band to play Dreams Dreams, but the teacher is an obsinate old fogy and has that Boss Nass voice. You know, where at the end of half his words, he shakes his head violently and goes "BUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUUB" like Boss Nass from Star Wars?

I figured out how to play the intro and the first verse to DD (I like that abbriviation ) on my clairinet.
I go to a suburban-area school, so it would probably be safe to say We have about, I don't know, about 50 kids in our band?
Please tell me what the notes are! I can't figure it out! As for actually playing "Dreams Dreams" in band, I've thought about it. My director would probably go with it with a little convincing (I mean, he had us play the Halo theme to entertain the students), that is, if it's not booted out by the other numerous pieces he wants to play. The problem would be finding the music and obtaining the rights to use it. We could play it: ~ 7 flutes, 1 piccolo, 4 french horns, ~ 12 clarinets, 2 trumpets (meh, need more), 3 trombones, ~ 5 saxes, 2 oboes, 2 bass clarinets, 1 contrabass clarinet, 2 baritones, 1 tuba, and ~ 5 percussion (who love to get loud). We could also grab a few kids from guitar class & sit someone on the electric keyboard and/or piano. It could work. I think I'll suggest it.
There was one song we played this year that reminded me of NiGHTS called Fantasy on a Japanese Folk Song. It doesn't sound like most of the game's tunes, but flutes are a main feature. It sounds very flowy, beautiful, and sad. It's about a Japanese woman who married an American and moved to the U.S., leaving behind her homeland which causes spells of homesickness. Kinda reminded me of how NiGHTS left Nightmare and made me wonder if he ever misses his old home.

Also the song, "Rush" Be ally and A.J, the way they describe it - "into your mind, into your soul..." "pulling your feet right off the ground, you cant beilive its happening now."
Reminds me of Dualizing process

Come to think of it, yeah, that does kind of ring a bell! Another one that always makes me think of NiGHTS, (what doesn't?) is a Neverending Dream by CASCADA. It fits NiGHTS so well!
