Okay, first let me just say to the mods I'm not sure if this is the ideal place for this thread, but it seemed like the most apropriate section of the forums. But, if you feel it should be move, go right ahead.
Now that that is out of the way lets get down to business shall we? Cosplay; You've all heard of it and its likely many of you have thought about doing it. Hell, a certain section of this website shows some of you already have. I just thought it would be fun for everybody to share any non-nights related cosplay they've done in the past or tell what you're planning to do in the future. Goody goody me first!
For the first time in my life I will be cosplaying in about 2 weeks at Anime Detour. I'm going to be going as HUNK from Resident Evil. After that, the next convenion I plan to go to is Kakkoicon in August. I was planning to go as Geese Howard of SNK fame for that one.
So, what have you guys done?

Except for the fact they're not actually from anything... But since you ask...
I don't know if you saw the ones I did for Ame 2007 either. *looks for pics of both*
Okay, 2006:
These took a couple of days, and confused the hell out of many people. Terrible photos ahoy! (And yes, that's a labcoat.)
Materials: Coathanger wire, garden wire, funky-foam, costume gems, 3d paint, shitloads of copydex, double sided tape, elastic.
2007:
Sadly no good pics of me wearing them. These were fragile as hell, but they were made pretty much entirely in an evening, so it's not surprising. They lasted long enough for the con but no further.
Materials: Funky-foam, plastic from an ice cream tub, clear plastic, the most awesome hologram pink plastic, drinking straws, plastic coathanger for the back support, stick on silver hologram film, black pen, doublesided tape and copydex, elastic and ribbon.
I haven't worked out what I'm doing for my 2008 ones.

Those wings are absolutely funky!
My first cosplay at a convention was Blaze the Cat at Auchinawa '06, (and we still never got that group photo, did we Trip?).
http://feniiku.devia...ia-Amy-59005540 <- crappy photo from when I wore it to the London Expo last May XD
Next time I'm doing a Silver the Hedgehog one That damn face starfish is gonna be a pain.

Let's see, last year was my first convention, and the first time I cosplayed. It was nothing real special, just a simple shield and beam saber from Gundam. This year though I'm making a whole mecha costume, something of my own design. I still have the beam saber which I'm planning on adding to the costume. It's still in the design process, but I'll start working on it in late April so that it'll be ready by mid June.

On my college's campus every year there is an event called "Spring Fling" in which 90% of the students engage in drunken revelry. I am a member of a geek club on my campus and during this event we reserve a section of the academic portion of campus as a "geek enclave" and last year I started a little cosplay contest as an excuse to dress up! Funtimes!
I was Zelgadis from Slayers. It was... not a very good costume. Frankly living in a tiny dorm room and lacking in resources generally leads to a poor costume and I did not prepare it NEARLY as much as I should have. But it was fun either way! The costume was basically white pants/white longsleeve t-shirt, cloak-thing (desperately sewn cloth), two belts, fingerless gloves, blue makeup on all skin (poor quality greasepaint), blue-dyed hair (poor-quality spray-on can kind), and a little red gem brooch-thing and some black yarn. I was working on a budget and with no experience! I think it was worthwhile though. I do not know if I'll ever cosplay again, probably not unless I can gain the assistance of someone with more experience than I. I want to go hardcore Zelgadis and wear a blue-metal-wire wig and attach stones (or fake latex stones) to my face.
I want to say that a picture of me in costume exists somewhere on the intertubes but I do not have one or know where to find it.
So that is pretty much my only cosplay experience.

I haven't actually done anything.. thought about Spike Spiegel but didn't go through with it as of yet. But I think if I ever were to cosplay, I'd preferably like to try Capcom's super-ninja, Strider Hiryu.

I haven't done any cosplay yet either, but if I could I would like to do Jiro from Kikaider, Ichiro Sato from .hack//Liminality, or Train Heartnet from Black Cat.

I have a half completed Robotnik costume stashed in my house somewhere. Provided I go to a Con soon, I'll see about finishing it while I still have the body type for it.

I've got a paper-mache Sonic costume in my closet somewhere I made one year. It was supposed to be for Halloween but I didn't get it done in time and went out as a vampire instead. As luck would have it, I finished it the week after. Humph. Anyway, it's flimsy, made of old paper mache and I can't get my fat arse in the bottom part anymore (as it's paper mache too lol) nor my big head in the mask anymore, but it's still there. I wore it once when I was being fitted for it. My mother was helping me make it. Now I'm four years older and subsequently four years LARGER and it no longer fits but hey. It's a cosplay. I remember that same year my best friend Jason went out as a Lego. He put suspenders on a cardboard box and wore it over his regular clothes, and had a cardboard hat shaped like the top of a Lego. We each got so much candy we puked 'til Christmas. Ahhh... good times, good times.

I'll just post the link to my cosplay.com page because I don't want to bog this topic down with images of all of my cosplays. XD Here you go! No NiGHTS cosplay...yet. ;D
Also, I remember seeing Feniiku as Blaze at May 2007, and I totally didn't realise it was her! XD

So much diversity and talent in this forum~ Hoo, let's see... I remember at last year's NDK Denver I was a closet-cosplay Kiyo Takamine (whom exactly one person recognized XD), and later the Creature In The Darkness (whom a lot of people recognized, surprisingly). I think there's some video of me as CitD on YouTube. o.o This year my friend Pas has lassooed me into cosplaying Demyx, but I've also got in-my-head plans for Miko Miyazaki (either before or after her fall, I don't know yet), Duke Devlin, Vaarsuvius, and... the Nightwatcher. *gulp* That last one is going to require a LOT of PVC and/or leather. XD

Well I'm in nowheresville in terms of conventions, so I've only worn my cosplays to Halloween parties.
- I've done Charmy Anderson and Maid Zukin from Dance Dance Revolution.
- Working on Naoki Maeda from Dance Dance Revolution and an Elite Beat Agent.
- Ordering Anise Tatlin from Tales of the Abyss and Reala from JoD.

I've been wanting to cosplay as my Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II character. I'm a HUmar(obviously, look at my user name), with long, straight brown hair, a somewhat narrow face with Cloud Strife looking eyes, with dull black and red armor.

Okay, today was the second day of Anime Detour and I got photos of my HUNK costume. I'll upload them tomorrow. I just got back from four straight hours of raving and I am a very tired man right now.

Guess who found a photo with which I can publicly humiliate himself? ME!
My Zelgadis costume that did not work out nearly as well as I would have liked (mostly due to HORRIBLE MAKE-UP MISHAPS).
The red gem-thingy is barely visible in that picture BUT IT WAS THERE! It also had a slightly functional mask/hood which is part of the reason there is blue around my neck. Also the blue-hair dye I used was lame-tastic and did not work very well. It probably could have been worse but it certainly could have been better...

Okay, it took longer than expected, but are a few pics of my HUNK outfit. Surprisingly, my buddy didn't take more.
Generic pose 1
Generic pose 2
Me snapping my buddy's neck for not taking more photos.
I would like to add my friend later donned what is easily the best Zack costume I've ever seen. Also, that sword was like 25 pounds. It felt even heavier while holding it in a battle position since it has no balance at all.
And finally, my planned costume for Kakkoicon is: Geese Howard

Sheik. Sheik is the hotness, even though it's Zelda. XD

I don't care what Nintendo says. Shiek will always be male to me. I always belive Zelda can magically change her gender anytime she wants. She sees a hot guy in a bar. She talks to him. Turns out he's gay. For any other woman, this would be a real bummer. But not Zelda! A little Poof-poof, a little pixie dust and she can go out with gay-guy with no repercussions! Muahahahahaah!Sheik. Sheik is the hotness, even though it's Zelda. XD

I did Amy Rose. Which is funny cause I hate pink and I really don't like Amy. XD But I had the perfect dress. And I adore these ears now that I have them. I did it for a Halloween party and the cosplay contest there... Didn't win. Someone said I woulda won if I had a hammer. XD I like that I'm so pale, but this bright pink wig makes me look dark.

I've been cosplaying since 2005. :3
My first cosplay was Genjo Sanzo from Saiyuki:
Yuki Nagato from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (I don't like the color of the wig >_<) :
I need to finish the cosplay for Miku Hatsune from Vocaloid. Here's the wig (the pigtails are incredibly long) :
A-kon is coming up soon and I need to finish all my costumes. ^^;;
This year I'm going as Kantarou Ichinomiya (Tactics), Yuki Nagato (Haruhi), Miku Hatsune (Vocaloid), and an original princess Miku Hatsune design for the masquerade.
If I have any free time (and money) this summer, I want to work on cosplay for Simon (Gurren Lagann) and Reala (JoD).

The only cosplay I've done is NiGHTS- other than a slapped-together Jackle and Wizeman for my little sis/Dad. Must submit that one of these days... ^^;
I've got plans to do Suki from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Zero from Code Geass soon. Hopefully.
