Hmm...., I thought so, too (I beat the game without all "A" ranks, and I got "Dreams Dreams" sung by kids). I think you get "Dreams Dreams" sung by adults, but, idk. It may be different for each version....I remember being told that getting all A Ranks in NiD got you something. But I dont remember what that is.

Well, when I beat the game with Claris, I get it sung by the kids. But with Elliot, I get it sung by adults.

If you do it with both kids you get the song sung by adults and different images and a longer FMV with the scene at the Twin Seeds festival.
If you complete the game with all As you get a cool even longer FMV that shows Claris and Elliot meeting briefly in their dreams. You also get different images with the ending credits.
I can't quite remember (even though I've completed NiGHTS a thousand and one times! XD I usually leave the room after I've completed it to make tea or something~) I might of gotten those mixed up... But the biggest difference is the snazzy videos at the end~ If you're gonna try and get all As for anything make it those lovely videos!

Not only do you get different endings, you get the satisfaction of having made all A's! It took me ages to get an A in Stick Canyon, as much as I love running through it..
Sorry to sway off topic for a moment, but--
Misaki-chan, thanks for the link -- though I have a question to anyone who can answer it. What's "Clean pause" ?
On the link provided, there was this toward the bottom:
"Clean pause
Pause the game then hold X + Y + Z."

I just turned on the game and checked to make sure.Sorry to sway off topic for a moment, but--

You don't even have to hold them, just press all three buttons at the same time. It switches the *PAUSE* message under your score off and on.

finish the game with elliot only - elliot FMV ending, credits show some of the pics with nightmarens fomr elliots dreams (i dont think they show NiGHTS on this version of the credits) and you get "Dreams Dreams" with the kids voices
Finish the game with claris only - claris FMV ending, again same type of credits with the kids version of "dreams dreams" i wich they show the Nightmarens from claris's dreams
Finish the game with both dreamers - claris ending FMV + elliot ending FMV + Final ending FMV (when elliot meets with claris), the credits show pics of the Nightmaren bosses showing NiGHTS in the end. "dreams dreams " is still using the kids voices
Finish the game with A rank on all dreams - same ending as the above except you get "Dreams Dreams" using adult voices.
about the clean pause, that is a trick used on other sonic games aswell, the one i remember the most is in Sonic Jam, but i believe its also in Burning rangers though i could be wrong.
if something is wrong with the above please correct me i might have forgotten some of the stuff

Taking Spring Valley as an example, to get an A, you need 135k or more - the current record at SA.net is over 700k. Even without multiple dreamies, you can get over 500k with practise. Having the highest grade covering more than a half million range is poor judgement imo, but its all relative I supposeIMO The difficulty for getting all A's is just right.

Oh, boo, Huru, no cheating! *lol* Everything is easier when you cheat! Ha ha! Really, it can be hard to do if you do it the right way. But hey, if you want to see it, go for it.getting a's is very easy. its a dirty trick, but useful. just fly over the ideya palace and redo the level over and over again to get more points XD I do it all the time XD

Is it even possible to get A's without re-lapping the course ? o_0

Oddly enough, Twin Seeds is the only one I can get an A on and I never relap. So I think it is. And my ex's old file had A ranks all over, I don't know his technique. Is it even possible to get A's without re-lapping the course ? o_0

Ah, but Twin Seeds is a special level. You can't relap, else you'll run out of time altogether. They made getting A's easier in that level beacause of that.
I managed all A's, but only through re-lapping. Now, I'm always trying to best my scores : D

You don't have to completly relap every mare within a level if that is what you are asking. In the first mare you usually relap it several times. The next two you either do once or halfway. However on some 4th mare's you do not need to relap. Like the last part of Stick Canyon you cannot relap there. If you want an A in that mare then you need to try not to turn into the kid!Is it even possible to get A's without re-lapping the course ? o_0
Of course not every mare needs to be an A to make the level itself an A. Just try to relap as far as you can and then turn around if you are not halfway there or something. Course I am not proffesional at the game so maybe I am not the best to ask. But I at least have all A's on every level.

By the way, I JUST realized that Huru probably meant going back and doing things, I thought he meant some trick where you exit the game and go back or something. So yeah, of course you probably have to re-lap! Sorry, I misunderstood! Jof, you made me realize that when you mentioned what you did about TWin Seeds. *Sulks away DUMB*

Woah, woah, where did this idea of multiple laps being cheating come from?! Thats crazys; bonus time starts after opening the ideya, your supposed to stick around for scoring. Otherwise, why would items/rings respawn?
Exactly, and on that note, that's the other reason you can't re-lap in Twin Seeds - The Blue Chips don't re-spawn, so theres no point.

Well actually... on most mares if you get lots blue chips in the bonus time you'll get an A rank (I'm talking 60+ blue chips). The last lap on Stick Canyon is one of the easiest ones to get an A on if you turn into the kid before even embarking on the roller coaster thing~ There's a lift up to the top of the tower... often you'll get enough blue chips going up on that to open the Ideya capture... then when you get on the roller coaster cos the chips/stars are attracted to Elliot you get a huge link AND pretty much every item on the way. I always get an A if I do this. X3Like the last part of Stick Canyon you cannot relap there. If you want an A in that mare then you need to try not to turn into the kid!
I often get A ranks from doing single when I've been rushing to get try something on a boss or just relaxed playing... But relapping is NOT cheating! It's the whole point of the game~ XD Except for on Twin Seeds where the aim is really to do it as well as you can in one lap. The only mares worth re-doing are the ones with those switches that shower stars down on you but it's usually better to just mess around with them on your first lap - and even then the number of stars given depleats the more you do it... ^^;
