PSU (AotI) Anyone?

Its a shame theres no actual guild features in the game, but this something that should totally be done, its kinda what PSU is missing right now.
Of course, you and DiGi would need to split the day up to jump on, but I'm sure you don't need reminding of it and its no different than it stands now. XD

1. To TRiPPY, what are your goals in the game?
2. To DiGi, I don't know if you know or not but just in case you don't, Agito Repca is currently a synth only weapon and you need to be at least lv. 100 to get everything to make it.
3. I'm a very large but svelte, purple, male CAST. My class now and forever is Protranser. Just throwing that out for anybody who cares.
4. I am now taking it upon myself to become a NiD Guild representative on the Xbox 360 servers. I now declare the unofficial NiGHTS guild be called...Dream Works. Wait, that's taken? Okay, how about Lucid Corp. ?

So I'll say it now for anyone who still doesn't know ( and before I get distracted by something shiney and forget again ):
The game is back up for PC/PS2.

To own every pair of shoes : D hahaha ok I also want to get to over 100 on PSU because i only could ever concentrate on lvling on PSO. Theres a lot more involved now so i have to keep my motivation. I've not really had the chance to check out which weapon I'm aiming for, but anything that casts scary amounts of Foie and looks epic while doing so is all good. I want to use nothing but magic because i utterly bite at close combat (always have). Forces have always been my type of character.1. To TRiPPY, what are your goals in the game?
So guys, when the server went back up did SEGA rollback or anything in terms of compensation? While i was half asleep I'm sure i heard DiGi yammering on about tons of money. Max luck?

2 - Yup, i've been educated into how to get an Agito Repca and it's going to be bloody hard work no matter which way i look at it. XD
4 - We can work out a name for the guild later once we know who's in. I'm still discussing things over with TRiPPY. Once that's done we'll start a topic and maybe host a poll to see what name is prefered. I had a few idea's of my own too last night but we'll save that for the other topic.
I meant to say this as soon as I noticed, but then DiGi tempted me away by saying he'd found the elusive forest mission, hahaha. XD
I still can't believe i found it. I wasn't even looking for it. I originally wanted to do a few Moatoob runs to get some exp and money whilst heading towards the Casino to pick up a silver coin since i promised TRiPPY i'd get her that pink bedroom...and then the forrest just turned up out of nowhere and completely took me by surprise. Most certainly one of my luckiest moments so far in PSU XD

It can only be used by Fortetechers, but it has monstrous stats. Four TECHNIC slots (like all rods), 1872 PP and TP boost of 958. You can cast a lot of burnin' hurtin' with that thing for sure.
Oh, and for anybody here who is having trouble with the casino, your gambling man Zero is here with a winning strategy that tends to work pretty well. Keep in mind though that there is no strategy that is full proof when gambling. This strategy simply seems to work better than most. After getting your Silver for the day, simply start by betting 25 bronze on two of the number ranges every time you bet. No colors, no individual numbers, just two ranges. Also, never bet on the same two ranges twice in a row. This will cover a very large portion of the wheel so you have a pretty good chance of winning. The payout for a number range is 3 to 1, so if you do win you'll get75 bronze, 25 more than you started betting with. If you keep doing this you'll eventually get enough money to make bigger bets with tremendous payouts. I managed to go from 1 silver to over 66 silver in one afternoon using this method. By the end of my streak I was making bets over 10 Silver. Now I have a Grandfather Clock in my room. Just remember though, luck may not always be on your side and the most valuable ability in gambling is knowing when to stop. If you are losing consistently with this method, stop and cut your losses before you lose everything. Try another time when luck may be on your side.
Of course, this method is for the impatient who want their stuff right away because when all is said and done, just picking up your free silver everyday, despite being slow as hell, is the safest way to make money at the casino

Ahahaha. The shoes made me laugh.
I think I recall two rollbacks in the recent past, the first was immediately after the 1 up cup, but if I recall the actual rollback only happened on the 360 servers, but I'm fairly sure we still got the compensation. 1 extra week of all the timed rewards we earned from the 1 up.
The second was a week of maximum luck yeah.
I know! We've been hunting for it for near on a month or something, and then you go and get it on almost your first run. It's those rabbit feet of yours, isn't it?! XD
Still, it was loads of fun. A real nostalgia trip. =D
Well, he had been searching with us for a few days, but it was rather lucky, in comparison to how long we went before we first got it.

In terms of mathematics, it really is technically sound. But I spent a week doing similar strategies and never made any profits. XD
I'm just a really unlucky gambler. XD
I've been thinking more and more about the guild stuff, naturally we could set up a trading post- have our own mini events- all kinds of possibilities. I quite like "The Hunter's Guild" as a name, because of the PSO nostalgia, but then its not very NiGHTSY is it. XD

Anyways, yesterdays marathon run with GC left me feeling drained, lol. How many robots was it? 300? Bloody hell! XD We rocked that place though. I drained all of my items (monomates, dimates, everything) just to stay alive but it was certainly fun. XD
In terms of Guild names, it seems we're getting quite a few now. I'll just keep a list of the names mentioned in this post for now until we have everything up and running -
- Lucid Corp.
- The Hunters Guild
- The Local Maren
- The Dream Society
- The Dreamland
- Sleeping Hunters
- Masks of Persona
-Slow Wave Inc.
-Imagni Zaibatsu
-Harlequin Syndicate
-Nightmare Combine
- kNiGHTS of the Realm
- GUARDIANS of Nightopia
- Ambition of Wiseman
- Dreamers of Phantasy
- The Rag Marens
Some idea's i've had for names were 'The Dream Society', 'The Dreamland', 'Sleeping Hunters' and 'Masks of Persona'
I'll add that to the list above and if anymore names come in then i'll edit this post. Once we have everyones input into this idea we can narrow it down and then put the main favourites into a poll. How's that sound?

Yes. XD and I know I keep making this gag, but I really can't help it. IT...WAS...SPARTA.How many robots was it? 300?
I came out with out about 3 mates, too, but I died a fair few more times than you did. XD
It was literally exhausting, especially the way we rattled through the last two blocks, had to rest for a half hour or so, even then I was kinda off my game for the rest of the day. XD
I must think of something too... but right now I'm still stuck doing update ARGGH

I've also edited the post and added 4 of Zero-Shifts idea's in, but i think we may stay away from anything iMAGNi related for this guild and just keep it to PSU and NiGHTS related phrases only.

Not ta sound like a total geek onbe day I looked up the term noob and this is what it ment
A noob usually means a bad player in a game, or someone who doesn't know the rules of a community. Being a noob is usually not a good thing.
However, a newb is simply someone new to the game and is just starting out, unlike noob this term is not ment out of insult.
again sorry for acktin like a geek I'm tryin ta get ppl ta understand this so its easier to understand others in a gaming community.

In terms of guilds, you technicaly can't make an 'official' one on PSU as there isn't a feature that allows you to do so (which is a shame because it would have been quite fun having a legit guild listed amongst others). So we're just making our own one for the fun of it
So, for those who this applies to (i.e the ones who are/will play this game online), out of that list of names, lets decide which 5 should go in to the poll. Hoorah.
#66
Posted 26 March 2008 - 07:53 PM
- Lucid Corp.
- Dream Society
- Sleeping Hunters
- Nightmare Combine
- Rag Marens
Because of the Sci-Fi environment, I favor the names that would make us sound less like a fan club and more like a band of pirates or a private military company.
#67
Posted 27 March 2008 - 03:12 AM
- Sleeping Hunters
- Masks of Persona
- Harlequin Syndicate
- kNiGHTS of the Realm
- Dreamers of Phantasy
Reason being is although it's a Sci-Fi game, the reason for this fan-guild to be created is that we all come under the NiGHTS fandom so some element of NiGHTS needs to be somewhere in the title. Not a fan-club in the slightest but the idea is to be of NiGHTS origin. The ones i've selected i feel fit both the Sci-Fi elements as well as having a very NiGHTsy feel to them.
#68
Posted 27 March 2008 - 04:56 AM
- Harlequin Syndicate
- Dreamers of Phantasy (I'll only choose one of my own for the sake of fairness )
- The Dream Society
- Lucid Corp.
- kNiGHTS of the Realm (I personally would like the name better without the K...)
So far the most likely seem to be, The Dream Society, Lucid corp., Harlequin Syndicate (woo ), kNiGHTS of the realm, and Sleeping hunters...
#69
Posted 27 March 2008 - 06:00 AM
...but I may as well stick by it now though. XD
With or without the k, I don't mind.
I dunno if I can select 5, but I'll try:
Harlequin Syndicate
Masks of Persona
Dreamers of Phantasy
The Rag Marens (Even though it makes us sound like a bunch of cosplayers with decrepit costumes....which only applies to me I think...although I wasn't a maren at the time.)
The Local Marens (well, in this order, it makes it sound like a promotion )
Speaking of stuff. The PSO robes won't be available in Smyte's colours. D: (at least at first....maybe they'll add them later)

I feel sorry for those of you with the 360 PSU ;_( It must suck to have to pay sega and x-box live... plus I heard the 360 PSU is laggy... it makes me wonder why bother :/ does the psu for 360 have better graphics or something? just outa curiosity...
Xbox Live is fine. It's a good service and I can pay for a 12 month Gold subscription for less than half of my biweekly paycheck. The Guardian license monthly fee isn't bad either. It's only ten dollars. I spend more than that each month on coffee. It's no big deal. As for version differences, it basically boils down to this:
PC - The graphics have potential to be the best of the three systems depending on your system specs. There are also PC perks such as window view, taking photos, etc.
PS2 - Exact same community as PC. The technical limitations of the system however make make getting online a headache and the graphics are notoriously laggy. Of the three versions, this one is probably the worst.
Xbox 360 - 360 users can't interact with PC/PS2 users because the game is run on Live. The community is at least twice as large as the PC/PS2 community. It's a blessing and a curse. There is more activity in general, but you're also more likely to run into a-holes. They're still the minority though. Graphics are fine and lag is rare. Easy voice chat makes communication simpler.
Also, for those who didn't hear, the "Maximum Attack G" event has been announced for April 25. Those of you fresh Guardians who are just starting out should know events like this are a great way to earn a lot of quick experience, class points and money.

is it harder to lvl up online than it is in extra mode or something? because I just started up psu yesterday and I'm lvl. 19 but the screens show TRiPPY at lvl 12 :/ then again it also could be because I fight all my enemies alone (the npcs are complete morons and waste exp.) on the highest lvl missions and the online enemies are probably much tougher... actually I could think of a bunca reasons why it would be easier on extra mode... ;
