Well, I had a lot of opinions and Views on JoD... So I decided to review it... I might be a bit honest at times. Here I gooooo:

Music:
Lets start with possibly, one of the best aspects of the game, The Music. The music in this game is beautifully played and fits in with the levels. It is good to help capture the mood, especially with Boss Battles. The music in Wizeman's battle probably one of the best songs in this games. That is a great song for an epic final boss. I didnt find myself humming them, but I still like hearing them as I replay this game. Trust me, the music hasnt lost its value.
Score: 9.0

Graphics:
Well...The cinematic cut scenes had great graphics. But, The in-game cutscenes weren't that great. They seemed like Ps2 graphics, which is unfortunate (And NiGHTS' mouth scared me...). The levels, on the other hand, were a lot better. Th colors were vibrant, there was detail shown, and it reflected the kids' desired dreamscape.
Score: 7.0

Controls:
The controls were unique, having different schemes was cool. The Wiimote-only scheme was wonky and difficult. NiGHTS would be slow, it would'nt read, it made NiGHTS go the other way, yatta yatta. The Nunchuck was better. It was simple, didnt have much problems. The gamecube-classic was fine too, having no problems at all.
Score: 7.6

Gameplay:
Ahhh...Now to the big Enchilada. The gameplay.. was very different from the first game. It had the classic flying stages, but lurked off into many other directions. I like chasing Goodles, not exploring the forest before the Awaker comes. I liked the original game, and this one has lots of variety. I know Variety is the spice of life. But too much can hurt the dish itself.
Score: 7.5

Overall, I give this game an 8. It had its ups and downs, but I found it fun. Please dont flame me for my opinion!

Game Trailer Review Guy must have emotional problems. Then again, everyone must consider the website.

AND FOR EVERY NEGATIVE JOD REVIEW, I WILL TURN INTO A PIG AND OINK.

The guy makes some interesting points and there are as many things wrong with the game as there are right from a developer's point of view.

I hated GameTrailers review of the game. They gave it a mere 7.0
Personally I'd give the game an 8.0. Even though the graphical polygon count isn't as high as expected, the Visual Effects are amazing. Especially in Pure Valley, with all the effect eye candy the flowers give you.

Gameplay was amazing. Flying never felt so fun in a game for a long time like this one offers. The game designers were even kind enough to add different concepts from keeping the game the same old. My guess is that they didn't want to make this sequel exactly like the original. Hence why they didn't put one of the bosses from the first game ( I forgot his name, I think it was Jackal or something. ). Roller Coaster, River Rides, Even an A-Life Concept. Which hasn't been done since Sonic Adventure 2.

The music is so magical and surreal, my personal favorite being the tune from that Forest level (Forest Adventure).

This is just one of those games that makes you smile because, in an era of bland First Person Shooters, this game stands out the most of being something truly unique and different. Better than most of the other crap out on the market these days anyway.

I can't believe they were able to produce this game within 1.5 years with a staff of only 24. ( I don't know why Iizuka said 26 in that interview when I re-read the credits several times and counted 24 staff. )

Originally there was supposed to be 27. But Yuji Naka left Sonic Team, one of the game designers moved to Sonic Team Japan to work on Secret Rings, and one of the Female Artists from Shadow the Hedgheog left the studio for unknown reasons.

It's my favorite game on the Wii. Super Mario Galaxy was way too easy. I was expecting that game to be challenging, but..........sigh.
JoD on the other hand was just what I expected from my favorite developer.

Writing, drawing, art in any way, shape, or form, hard rock music, dancing wildly even though I can't dance for crap. I write poetry and lyrics (although they're not very good T__T) and comedy movies. I love the Dreamcast podcast that DiGi and TRiPPY put on. I also enjoy thinking outside the box. I'm what is known as a Meathead. I can laugh at myself, think outside the box, and smile. Meatheads are smarter than your average Joe, with much more common sense and the rare ability to find creative solutions to problems. My idol is a man named Jimmy Dolittle. Look him up ^.~
I see people lavishing attention on Super Mario Galaxy in reviews like that. All with the "Ahh! Another Mario game! Ahh how wonderful! Oh! Now Mario's in space!"

Why?

You know what the funny thing is.....people don't even talk about Super Mario Galaxy anymore. Everyones attention is sucked in toward the overhyped Smash Bros. Brawl. Seriously, it's just a fighting game......calm down people.

And another thing that really boils my nerves to a crisp is the fact that in the reviews, they say that only fans of the original should look into this game, while everyone else can stay the f*** away from it..............That really ANGERS me! I never even played the original, nor was I ever interested in NiGHTS what-so-ever. The only reason I got interested into Journey of Dreams was because I heard Sonic Team USA was developing it. And now, I like the NiGHTS franchise, not only because of the developer, but because of the presentation and gameplay.

Alright, being the huge Nintendo nerd that I am, I will reply to some quotes and try to explain ( to the best of my knowledge) why reviewers are being so...insane, and Brawl.

I absolutely agree with you. It's the most common review cliche that game websites have come up with after Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was released. Sadly, it works, and some of the hardcore Nintendo fans (who BUY GAME OTHER THEN NINTENDO'S!!) weren't in the mood to give Sonic Team USA another chance after Shadow... we usually don't fall for BS like that, no matter how creditable the source is.

Mario is not like NiGHTS, but unlike NiGHTS, he hasn't starred in the millionth spin-off (despite some of them being good, I like Mario Golf and Mario Strikers). Mario had a good ten years on NiGHTS, so he is very well established. For Super Mario Galaxy, it was the next major Mario game after Super Mario Sunshine, which people deemed rushed and disappointing, and it was being developed by EAD Tokyo, who made the awesome but unfairly overlooked Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat.

And Galaxy was easy...for the first sixty stars. I swore many times on a couple of those purple coin challenges. >=(
