There is absolutely no doubt that JoD's music was divine (overall better then the game itself, sadly ) but my knowledge about the composers is vague. Other then JoD, I know Ms. Sasaki has done music for NiD (obviously) and the Genesis game Ristar, but that's about it. For Mr. Hataya's side, I hardly know anything except that he arranged the music for both NiGHTS games and did the first bonus stage musick for Sonic Heroes (which, I might add, is absolute sex).
Also, show Sasaki-san some more love, she arranged Ashley's Song for Smash Bros. Brawl. She sings it in the Japanese version. She is just awesome.

Hataya also did the Japanese soundtrack to Sonic CD, which adds to my disgruntled attitude towards Sega of America for changing the soundtrack

Really now? O_O Well damn.
*Is happy she was a Euro kid back in the 90's* Poor America D: You guys were robbed of that wonderful wonderful music. I used to shove the disc in my HiFi back in the day and just draw Sonic to it for hours, it was so inspiring.

Well I know the 'Past' music was at least left untouched, because they couldn't change it for whatever reason, but yeah I got pissed when I learned what they did, as I finally got to play Sonic CD on the GC Gems Collection. Our soundtrack is all right, but I still don't understand their logic. Butts.

I am soooo gonna get lynched for this.. XD I'm one of those people *boo hiss* who garners much enjoyment from both versions of Sonic CD! So I can't say yay or nay to either one because I wuvs dem so. :3
Even so.. I had no ideya Hataya-san worked on Sonic CD! I always thought Quartz Quadrant Past sounded NiGHTS-ish... used it as my fanmaren Starr's theme for a while there. LOL Good times!
I'm so glad Sasaki-san came on board for Brawl! Ashley's theme rawks from what I hear!

I like both soundtracks a lot. I don't like Sega of America any less for making an equally awesome soundtrack ;P
And yes, Tomoko Sasaki is absolutely awesome.

Like I said, I don't dislike the soundtrack they made, but dislike why they even made a new soundtrack (other than an English lyrics opening song)to begin with, and if so, at least on the new collection include the original Japanese soundtrack as a selectable option, if possible..
I wonder how Hataya felt as a result of this..?
