Dudley had one of the most distinctive voices in the whole of Street Fighter. He was the 'posh guy' that having played Street Fighter 3, if ever you heard the voice again you'd recognize it was him. His new voice half-kills the character. It's not hard to mimic the accent as well. I can't see why they didn't do it.
That's the only gripe i have with this. Everything else was great.
-edit-
Also, you all clocked Hakan's voice at the end there, right?

Wasn't Dudley's old voice just a Japanese person speaking English?
His voice might still be there if you switch it to Japanese.

I don't think so. Dudley's VA from Third Strike was Francis Diakowsky, a Canadian. I linked to his agency on Capcom Unity and emailed Jam Talent myself because I felt like an exercise in futility. Noticed you popped over there too DiGi. Don't suppose we can get a "Don't Forget Francis!" going?
I watched this Dudley gameplay video and hate the new voice even more.
Love Makoto, haters be damned. She was deadly in TS. Plus her original Japanese VA is supposed to be returning.

You know, I actually don't think the voice is all that bad on its own. However, when I think about how perfect his original one was, yeah it's not so good. I can't imagine "Gutter trash" sounding that good with that voice.

It's not a bad voice, it just isn't Dudley. Dudley's supposed to be astute, not poncey.
According to Jam Talent (Francis' agent), it's up to Capcom if they try to get Francis back. I posted such on Capcom Unity and I'd hope some people get behind me. The solution is so simple!

I don't get why Capcom would ditch a perfectly fine voice actor to begin with. I still don't get why some other voices in SFIV are different from the ones we know from all the other titles.

Hi Exu. Yeah, i noticed you linked to the agency that Francis is at. Good ground work, let's hope Capcom pick it up.
The thing with Dudley is his old voice was very gentlemen-like. It reflected the character so perfectly, it's why his phrases just stand out amongst the other cast. Sure, there are some memorable lines in Street Fighter in general but when Dudley spoke those lines it was such a perfect fit that those particular lines were emphasised more because of the great voice match-up with the character it was coming from.
Dudley is a rich posh guy from central London who has a butler, drives a old classic Jaguar-esque vehicle and lives in a mansion, sips tea and boxes whilst wearing fashionable attire. The voice they gave him in Street Fighter 3 matched those characteristics and background, it's what you'd expect.
This new voice? Listen to how he says "Keep it classy!" when he unleashes one of his Ultras. It sounds on the verge of cockny, not posh.
In London, we have cockny people who do try to speak posh. That's what Dudley now sounds like. It's as if he's 'trying' to be posh and not actually is.
I dunno, maybe it's just because i'm from London and know the accents around here inside out. But then again i'm not the only person dissapointed with Dudley's new voice either.

Could this really be Hakan?
Hakan Confirmed?
Also, after watching that recent reveal trailer that teases Hakan at the end, does anybody else think that sounds like Billy West's voice?
Also, and interesting interview with Chris Svensson at Gamasutra. The most interesting part in my opinion is he says Dudley was obviously a shoe-in and almost made it into the first version. For this latest one though Elena just barely missed the cut. T_T

I'm signed up on Billy West's forum, haven't heard anything from him regarding Street Fighter (he's otherwise busy recording Futurama) but who knows, maybe he's just having to keep it secret. I'd have to listen again, it'd sure be interesting if it were him.
Maybe Elena could be DLC? I likes her too. No good reason to leave her out. And whatever happened to Rolento coming back? Guess that was just a rumor, everyone else that was rumored got in : (

That's so definitely Hakan in that photo XD Hahaha, oh man. What a hairstyle. Definitely middle-eastern. If he comes with a Turkish flag too then this'll be hilarious! XD
As for Elena, i'm sure if people make enough noise then they could perhaps make her DLC. I know i'd buy DLC of her. I was kinda thinking she would be in this new game after seeing that one level with Hippo's and stuff in the background.

Oh man, beat me to it. XD
Well, this explains how Capcom approached making a turkish oil wrestler...make sh!t up!
Wow...just...wow. I was laughing pretty hard and you know what, I love this guy. Sure he's weird as f*** and his skin and hair colors are odd, but I'm amazed Capcom was able to take the the base concept of oil wrestling and do anything with it at all. And yeah, those trailers made me laugh pretty hard. Oh god that counter ultra.
So DiGi, think you found your new main? Totally cooler than Guy yeah? XD

Lol, what a crazy ass Hakan is! "I love my daughtersss. They ARRRRE so prrrretty!" What a fruit loop! XD
He's most definitely Turkish. Considering he says "Turkish oil wrestling rules" is pretty much the give away he's from that region, lol.
And i am proud, indeed. He may be a joke character and he may be another wrestler character but he's Turkish. And we ain't ever represented in games like this. He's the first to take it out there.
Personaly, my ideal Turkish fighter would have been a female who incorporates belly-dancing of some kind in to her fighting style. But Hakan is about as Turkish as they come so i'm happy regardless, lol. Not sure what the hell he done with his hair though, haha! XD
As for whether i main him, i'll see. I'll certainly give him a try but since both Guy and Ibuki AND Dudley are in Super Street Fighter 4 i'm gonna be spoilt for choice this time around. XD;

Just something cool I found, but on the Japanese site you can look at everyone's profiles, listen to their voice and watch both their Ultras. Pretty cool.

Dudley's Japanese voice doesn't sound too bad. More booming, confident and refined than the English one from what I've heard.
Also, Norio Wakamoto as Bison is still the sexiest thing in the game. XD

Apparently Hakan is basically Zangief when he isn't oiled up and and any and all of his attacks can be comboed into each other when he is oiled up.

Not really. I think it would be more accurate to say he's a grappler character at a basic level. I also don't know where you got that combo while oiled thing. There was a demonstration by Seth Killian recently showcasing Hakan and in it he demonstrated how the oil allows him to change the range of his command normals.

I love SFIV, almost as much as SFIII3rdStrike, I think 3rd has the most refined fighter gameplay ever.
I am really looking forward in Super SFIV, it's gonna have Dudley after all, I love playing as him.

...huuuh? o.O So, does that mean the console versions will miss out? Or would we get those arcade additions as DLC's probably?
Where did you hear this, actually?

I'd like to see the source as well. It seems really suspect that they'd add even more characters now since the game is so late in development. Still even if they did I believe Capcom would allow console users to get them as DLC, especially since in a recent interview Ono said he wants this to be the final retail version of Street Fighter IV.

Here's hoping for POISON! ....lol, yeah like hell XD;;
It would be interesting to see who those extra characters would be, if this is true. My money is on Elena as she was rumored to have only just slipped the mark on getting in to Super Street Fighter 4.
...technically, Hugo is in the background of one of the stages ...so he could also make an appearance as a fighter. Hmm.
~~~speculation~~~
The only characters I would add are Elena and Rolento. Really though I think the current roster is fine. It's starting to get in that area of too big for it's own good in my opinion.
Elena would make a really good (visual) addition
Anyways, if Hugo makes it to the game it would be very interesting, Urien would probably creep me out me if he's in HD.
I'm a fan of Third Strike so I'd like to see as much content from there as possible in SSFIV.
