I apologize if this has been asked before (feel free to move the topic), but my bf told me that in the original NiGHTS game, you could unlock a Sound Test mode where you can hear each character/enemy's cackles, grunts, and general sounds. (And in the case of Reala and Jackle, dialogue as well.) Has anyone ever uploaded the NiD Sound Test files to the internet? And if so, where can I find them? I'm taking a Multimedia Web Design class right now where I'm learning to program in Flash and would love to make a NiGHTS flash using authentic sounds from the game.

EDIT Thanks for the link!! <333
Are there any more places to find them? This was great, but it didn't have one I was hoping to find.

If you have the original Nights game CD, I can give you a special utility that will convert those silly PCM files into WAV files

I don't have it personally, but my bf does. <33 Yay for connections!
Okay then! If your offer is still up, then link me up to this utility, tell me what he needs to do, and I'll forward him the instructions.
Maybe after I do this I should post them for download...I'm sure others are looking for them too! o.o

Alrighty...
-Download this utility:
http://kurosen.com/pcm2wav.exe
-Insert the game CD
-Open the converter utility
-In the "Input PCM File" area, click on the button to the far right labeled "..." and point it to a PCM file on the CD
-In the "Output Path" area, click on the button to the far right labeled "..." and point it to an area you'd like the WAV file to be saved to.
-Press the "Convert" button, and you're done

Okay, so I ran the program by my bf and he told me that the program was only set up for a video game called "Lunar Eternal Blue" for the PS1...it won't convert any of the files on NiD for Saturn! x_x Is there any other way to do it? Did you give me the wrong link or something?

Hmmmm... All pcm files should be the same. The project was created for Lunar Eternal Blue, but should have still worked.... I'll look into it and edit this post when I have it all figured out.

He said that they weren't "pcm"files. I can't remember the extension exactly, but I'll ask him when he gets back on AIM in an hour or so and edit this post for you.

Dunno what you'll need (PCM is gibberish to me) but you know I got my NiD disc at hand.

I just got back to him and he said the music files were "sfd" files.

Magicscore files? Seriously?
Hmmmm..... If someone could upload a sample sfd file for me from the CD, I'll see what I can do....

Here's what my bf said when I asked him to rip the files:
"it's an SFD-type file but I can't pull it from the disc....it's an Invalid MS-DOS Function.....the only ones I can pull are PRS files and they seem to be connected to the stages only."
