Well, there's always Puffy, Jackle, Gulpo, and Gillwing from NiD. Along with Chamelan, Bomamba, Donbalon, Cerberus, and Girania from JoD. Those are the only Marens I remember the names of.

Deworm -- Blueish floating worm-like creature -- Creates dark portals, fly into one and you'll be stuck inside a "bubble" until you either touch another one, or a short period of time passes.

Bird things (name unknown) -- Large Bird (By bird standards) -- Flies at NiGHTS, if they manage to grab you, they'll fly you backwards a bit, wasting precious time.

Pufferfish things (Name unknown) -- Large Pufferfish (By pufferfish standards) -- Float around helplessly, will occasionally extend several spikes, touching them while they're covered in spikes hurts you.

Murtle -- Large Turtle (By turtle standards) -- Shapeshifting creature. When encountered on foot, hide as treasure chests, and hurt you when you go for the prize. When encountered in the sky, they change into NiGHTS clones, and drill-dash at you.

Mothpil (I think) -- Large Moth (By moth standards) -- Launch energy rings at you. These rings can be evaded by flying straight through the center.

Electric Eel things (name unknown) -- Large Electric Eel (I'm sure you get the pattern by now) -- Drift around aimlessly, until they charge themselves with electrical energy. Gameplay-wise, identical to the Pufferfish things.

Scorpian things (name unknown) -- Regular-size scorpians which ride on top of large balls. -- Drift around, sometimes towards you, they themselves are harmless, but the balls on which they ride are damaging.

Bee things (name unknown) -- A regular-sized swarm of bees -- Fly towards you, deal damage if they're near you for too long.

Beehive things (name unknown) -- Purple beehive -- Spawns the bee things.



All I can think of right now, there might be more.

From minions in NiD

Crewel + Pole - Shoot balls at you which shrink you.

Cuttle - Forms a triangled shaped spikey hoop and basically acts as a spiked-hoop in general.

Gao - Charges with electricity and tries to shock you.

Party - Slashes her tail at you.

Shleep - They inflate and you end up bouncing off them.

Snip - (no idea here) i think they throw something at you but i cant be sure.

Hollow - Shoots small orbs at you.

Kircle - Grabs you and drags you to the ground and then they explode.

Mamu - (no idea again).

Verol - They disguise themselves as Blue Chips and attack you if you get close.

That's all i've got.

Not wrong. Annoying. I need this list filled kind of quickly. No offense, though.

There's no need to be rude. Neither you nor any other member mentioned the Goodle, which counts as a nightmaren and the name is spouted all over the place in the game, making it obvious. In your profile you asked that people didn't treat you that way, so I would appreciate you not being rude to other members who are trying to help you. Saying "no offense" to someone filling in a hole for you does not make it okay. Next time there will be a warning.

Why don't you just edit your original post and add Goodle to it, so you don't confuse the other people who are trying to help you.

All right. Maybe I can find a guide for NiD and hope there's a bestiary.



First, I should mention here that I have a very hard time telling the difference between what is rude and what is humor. Thus, I'm prone to be rude a lot of the time without realizing it. But, really, would you want someone telling you the obvious? Also, I did say that I meant no offense.

I'm not here to argue with you and putting "At Purgatory's request" in your first post as opposed to what I DID say, which was "Goodle" to add to your Seapo and Shleep would be called "sarcasm", so you know, which can be rude. Please stop arguing with me and just think before you call someone annoying. Calling someone a name for something small is not okay as long as you say "no offense".

Everyone get back on topic, if anyone can/wants to help, and do not respond to my post.

For those who wanted to know what the Snip and Mamu do,

Snip: Jump high and attack you if you get close, it breaths a 'vapor' that will freeze you into a block of ice if it hits. You fall to the ground and get stuck there for a second or so.

Mamu: Fish like maren that fly around aimlessly, they have three spiky orbs that float around them and will hurt you and make you lose time if you make contact with the orbs.

If there are any other question about NiD maren I'd love to help.

Erm...also DiGi? I thought the Cuttle made a ring that completely drained your drill dash if you flew through it, not a spiky ring that hurt you...*runs*

I know we already had this goodle discussion *ahem* but I just realized that I'm gonna go ahead and paste over here that will help this list to be more thorough and clear up some confusion about the Goodle:

Instruction booklet: "Goodles aren't very smart or very powerful, but they can control huge birds..."

I think this implies that the Goodle is the grinning bastard at the top and the giant birds all throughout the game (including the ones they ride) are just that: Birds. Maybe thats why "goodle mepians" come out with no traits.. because the birds aren't nightmaren.

LOL Wow, that's never happened to me with Snip in 11 years! Must try to make that happen. I love that I'm still discovering stuff in this game even now! Thanks! XD

This I knew as well, as it's mentioned in the game itself.

Since its a list here on the forum, everyone can use it, and I noticed a lot of people feel the Goodle is the bird, so I'm clarifying for others who may use this list.

GOD, THANK YOU! I've been hoping to see a topic like this, I was always confused what the Nightmarens' names were. Though I wish I knew some more Nightmaren so I could add on. Though...The Awaker isn't a Nightmaren, is it?
