Seganerds just reported that they're remaking Space Channel 5 for the Nintendo Wii and it has licensed Michael Jackson music for it, too.

So, good news for you people? I know we have a few Space Channel 5 fans in here and this news that licensed music from Michael Jackson is set to feature makes me quite happy so i'm looking forward to this. :)

I write poetry and lyrics (although they're not very good T__T) and comedy movies. I love the Dreamcast podcast that DiGi and TRiPPY put on. I also enjoy thinking outside the box. I'm what is known as a Meathead. I can laugh at myself, think outside the box, and smile. Meatheads are smarter than your average Joe, with much more common sense and the rare ability to find creative solutions to problems. My idol is a man named Jimmy Dolittle. Look him up ^.~
I like Michael Jackson. Well, not the guy, he looks creepy and scares the bejeezus out of me, but his music is pretty good. His earlier music. Thriller and Smooth Criminal were always fun to dance to. I'm glad they're making a game with that music. I'd get it.

O yea! I have it for the Ps2 but it's probably better on the Wii. Great news .. er, more money I'll be wasting, haha.

SPACE CHANNEL 5!!!! I still don't see why Ulala Didn't get a knights uniform as an unlockable... but yeah SPACE CHANNEL 5 ON THE WII!!!! First NiGHTS now SPACE CHANNEL 5 all I need now would be a Wii Samba De Amigo....

Lol so if it is in fact the same this will be the third time i buy it then :( got it for My DC then my PS2 now the Wii :P

Well, I actually don't own the original, just part 2 (I've played it though), so it'd be a worthwhile purchase even if it is just a remake =D

Everyone knows MySims doesn't count and Castaway was more of an spinoffy type of thing of. I think they meant more like the main series.

Sooo anyways, I might look into this game 'cause I'm still jealous of the people who have had their Saturns and Dreamcasts.
I mean I haven't played the original NiGHTS before and that didn't stop me from getting JoD.

Oh my god... I can't wait. From the moment I laid my eyes on it at the local Gamestop for 8 bucks, I loved it~ Actually, I hated it at first. But I eventually got better (and the cheat code didn't hurt!). I just hope SC5 Wii is longer.

I was sooooo happy when reading this! Then my happiness turns to sorrow, realizing I don't have a Wii. I guess I gotta wait until the next next gen, when everyone's getting the PS4, Xbox 9000, and the Us.

If they brought back a series as "obscure" as NiGHTS, then surely they can bring back Space Channel 5, which already had a sequel?

I really hope this ends up coming true. I have the Special Edition for PS2, and played the Dreamcast version, both which I love. I just hope it turns out to be another sequel instead of a remake. A remake is good, don't get me wrong, but how many years have we been waiting for a sequel after Part 2?
