i didnt dig deep into the link so i might be wrong about this, but i think its like a teamSpeak chat room in wich everyone is listening but the host will be able to determine when the guests will be allowed to speak.

one of the downsides is that unlike dreamcast you would have to log in to listen to it, and it might be a bit tricky to manage all your guests as you never know what they might say, thus ruining the show

The chatroom feature is just there just so you can type comments to one another or the host as the broadcast is in progress. The actual call-ins are done over a toll free line and numerous people can be on that line at once, which allows for the possibility of the host, special guests, and callers. All broadcasts can then be saved and archived on the site as MP3s.

I've never personally hosted a show, but I've attended/called-in for a few. Got to talk to voice actor Richard Epcar once.
