It's me again, ya'll!
Ok, so here's the scoop. I'm writing a massive choronicle of Nightmare/Nightopia, and I need Fanmade characters bios, storys, pictures, whatever you can offer to me. It is basically going to each individual fan characters story, and, because I am an ameture author (my book worls and all realated characters are in pending for Copyright) I want to give back to this community by doing a speacial writing project to the very best of my ability.
I understand that these characters are very speacil to you, and that is precisly why I am asking for such large amounts of information from you... So I can acurately display them. Be sure to include in the bio if you want them to play a large or small part. This fiction willl cover the majority of both game, and before and after. If you want a specific part of your own individual lore in, put it here.

I can see this going very very wrong in many many ways, and here's an example of one way it can. Say, Darkburraki and I were to submit our fanmaren, DB and Marian, to be included in your fanfic. Both of them, in their own continuities, are Jackle's significant other. I do believe that, should they ever happen to meet, they're going to get into a catfight over him, and that's the least of the problems from those two (for one thing, their effects on his personality; in the fanfic that's still sitting in my head, Marian changes him to the point that die-hard Jackle-fans are gonna kill me in my sleep, while he seems to stay pretty much the same, if not a little saner, with DB).

You can set up rules to prevent mass confusion from happening, such as no characters with more than acquaintance or friend status to the canon characters being allowed, and other such things. ..... And now my brain fails me as to what other suggestions I can make... ^^;

actually i mean both! i dont remember ever hearing that the character had exclusive rights to jackle. as far as everyones concerned they were just amigos

Huh? But in the song DiGi even says 'jackle ain't available for datin''. Oo; And I apologize to everybody if I've gotten the wrong idea about DB and Jackle (and if you're right, she'd probably burst out laughing at Marian-continuity Jackle while her-continuity Jackle fumes and plots deaths).

Anyway, on topic, yes, this will be rather interesting. Choke-a-black-hole full of humaren, but interesting.

EDIT: Back off topic, I did know the songs weren't official things that happened on the forums, but I thought that part was true, especially considering that sketch she herself drew of character-DB molesting Jackle with her sparkly-sparkly eyes (I faved the dang thing. XDDD ).

Neither songs nor fanart/fics = CANON, regardless of who makes them.
I could draw my maren self baking cookies with Wizeman, it still wouldn't be canon. Every single Jackle fangirl could pair up her creation with him in a deep, romantic, loving relationship and NOT ONE OF THEM can claim that her version is the true one.
That's the great thing about fanworks, it doesn't matter if he's "taken". No one can claim to be "right" except the creators. UV NiGHTS is not canon, even though he is widely accepted in the fandom. DB's relation with Jackle is not canon. Me and Wizeman baking cookies is not canon, even though it would be pretty cool.

I could probably write a very ranty essay about this, but let's leave it here for now and get back on topic.

This fanfiction project is a really awesome idea! May I suggest something though? I tried doing something similar many moons ago with another fandom and it....how shall I say.....went down the pooper really REALLY quickly.
Since several players claim to have OWNED or is in PURELOVE with -specific- character and going through it all was a major royal pain in the bum.

So what I did was create a regulated RPG with rules. That way you get a feel for the character, you can't force anyone to like anyone else. it happens naturally and you'll know how all fanmarens will interact with each other. Even for a short while to get an idea and then work on the fanfiction project.

I found this helpful in my endeavour and it is meerly a suggestion ;;

I would definetly love to be involved in the project.

Ok, I slept on the issue of what characters end up with who, and I have decided this:
If more than one person has his or her character falling in love with a certain other character IT'S OKAY. Let us say for a moment, that a random fanmaren girl falls in love with TORiAS (I'm just using "my" Maren as an example) that will be allowed. Fanmaren on fanmaren is acceptable. However, as I see it, PRiZMA has a very good idea, which I will now innitiate. In the Nightmare RPG section, I will post Fallen as the idea RPG for this fanfiction. Anyone who wants their Maren in this story can post there, and we'll see what happens. It would still be useful to me if you sent me information on your Maren, and I would appretiate it very much.

I think that this will be the quickest way to solve any disputes between all of our wondreful fanmaren.
