According to Gamasutra, it seems NiGHTS made it as one of the most requested GameFly games for the Wii.

Nintendo Wii

1. Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo)
2. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega)
3. NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (Sega)
4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo)
5. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Nintendo)

This is a bit encouraging, especially considering the other games on that chart. While sales are a bit lukewarm, NiGHTS must have piqued some interest in order to generate that many rentals. What do you think? Maybe our NiGHTS comeback was somewhat successful after all?

Writing, drawing, art in any way, shape, or form, hard rock music, dancing wildly even though I can't dance for crap. I write poetry and lyrics (although they're not very good T__T) and comedy movies. I love the Dreamcast podcast that DiGi and TRiPPY put on. I also enjoy thinking outside the box. I'm what is known as a Meathead. I can laugh at myself, think outside the box, and smile. Meatheads are smarter than your average Joe, with much more common sense and the rare ability to find creative solutions to problems. My idol is a man named Jimmy Dolittle. Look him up ^.~
Or perhaps the reason sales sucked so bad is because people found it cheaper to rent the game?

Hmm...the low sales are probably due to the fact that many were very excited for the game, and were ready to buy it, but were scared enough not to by the relatively low review scores.

I'm willing to bet that none of these reviewers has played a Saturn, let alone the original NiGHTS.

Or people rented it then disliked it and never bought to game? I hope thats not the case... could just be as you say, everyone is poor these days.

I think it's encouraging. Maybe people will like it, then decide to go out and buy it after renting it.
