This has been on my mind for a long time now...The new Sonic RPG. I mean, its a new releasing and NiGHTS is tied into the storyline, addressing it that way makes it seem like he wouldn't be in an arcade type game like Tennis or Brawl, one of an RPG's main elements is the story.

I know it sounds very random, but I wouldn't doubt that Sega is using NiGHTS as a marketing ploy to try and get Sonic more popular, considering NiGHTS has a more developed, deep storyline that has not been ruined (yet) I remember seeing something over the Internet a while back about Naka (or someone) trying to fix all the plot holes in the Sonic series that has confused so many (I mean with Sonic's rights handed to all these different companies making comics,tv shows and games all saying the same thing in a different way, it feels like LoZ on crack)

I mean consider this, the only Sonic game where I thought the story had ALOT of potential was Sonic Shuffle, the game engine ruined that for obvious reasons, and there was several Nights-like influences in that particular game.

And the reason why this hit me at all, the mysterious girl Shade on the Nintendo power cover looks quite Maren-Esq.

I wasn't stating that NiGHTS was Shade herself, I knew about Shade and her gender, but her design looks maren-like in a way and I thought it could be a clue towards if NiGHTS is in the game or not.

@Jof: Lets hope Sega Superstars Tennis has a good storyline then if thats indeed the game lol.


I still think NiGHTS might make some appearence in the Sonic RPG, hes at least a cameo in everything else XD

Ok here it goes...
If they make another NIGHTS or have one planned I sure hope to god they use different accents. I mean the only reason they had those accents in JOD was because the kids talked like that, right? I think it'd be logical if you had NEW kids the accents would change... maybe a diff region or atmosphere of the world might be nice. Sorry if I sound rude or anything but I'd like some diversity, Sega.

Actually that'd be pretty cool. NiGHTS could be like the ambassador of the Earth if all the games are shown from different nations perspectives and because of that NiGHTS gets this new accent with every place the maren travels.

I hope its good, I mean look at Sonic Riders ( I have not played the second one even though I own it, its a Wii version) Unfortunately, if Riders was lacking, then I don't think Tennis will do any better.

To me, a NiGHTS game for the DS would be great! (In my opinion XD )Drawing paraloops and moving NiGHTS around like that. Also wifi battles and the fact that the game will fit in your pocket and play with other NiGHTS fans on wifi or the ones around. And more too it and stuff like the music for the DS are getting better, like.... the Sonic Rush series! Those songs are good. But if NiGHTS for the DS can also can connect some how to a Wii for some sort of feature, if possible, that would be cool! Well I'm just throwing the ideas and whatnot. ^^; Sorry.

I know how you feel. If they do another NiGHTS game for XBOX360 and PS3, I'm going to have to get one of those two systems. I only have a Wii for a current gen console. I'll probably get the 360, as I do not like Sony at all.

But anyway I wouldn't mind seeing NiGHTS in high graphics although decent gameplay is all that's really needed. Well that and maybe a voiceless version. And maybe some kids a lot more people can relate to.

Unfortunately, in terms of storyline sega has been a miserable failure in all aspects that has involved sonic the hedgehog or any sports game to date made by sega. And needless to say, under the circumstance that Sega DOES in fact make another NiGHTS game anytime soon they may attempt a major change in terms of game play such as what they did making shadow the Hedgehog and I think we all know how THAT ended up... For awhile I've been begging for sequel to NiGHTS but at this point I'm a little skeptical if the ending result would be favorable I don't want NiGHTS rep to be ruined due to an over milked series like Sega did (and is still doing) to sonic. So if NiGHTS is going to have some part in terms of storyline to any game I'm afraid odds are its going to be for some sports game with NiGHTS in it

I don't like Sony either. Just bought me a 360 a few weeks back and I love it. I did get Sega Superstars Tennis and I think it rocks. The only thing I didn't like was the Jet Set Radio mini games where you have to paint the tags. Sooooo frustrating!

I have many reasons to hate Sony. they used crappy CD drives in their systems that have no auto focus. You know why Saturns hardly ever break? they're lenses auto focus.

The media conglomerate part of the company hid a rootkit on audio CD's I didn't get infected by any of them, thankfully. I got one of their pc's once, and hated it. I returned it less than a week after buying it, they stuck so much crap already on the system. And why are they so obsessed with Spiderman?

Wow so much Sony hate. Am I the only person here who actually likes the company? They make great game systems that are very reliable (none of mine have broken yet not even my PS1 and I've had that since '98) and I enjoy the exclusives a lot like God of War, MGS, Gran Turismo and I know I'll love the upcoming LittleBigPlanet. Besides if you wanna hate anyone for Sony's presence in the gaming industry then hate Nintendo for betraying them back in the SNES days.

An idea I had for NiGHTS's voice would be to have several different voices that are switched between depending on NiGHTS's mood (playful, angry,annoyed, you get the picture). It might be rather jarring when it switches, though.

I think it's possible to get a good VA for NiGHTS. and Midna bugs the crap out of me. Maybe have NiGHTS speak panzernese. that'd be a cool homage. or, just follow the unsolicited advice John Wayne gives people before the previews start in some theaters, and "Talk low, talk slow, and don't say to much".

In the event that they explore Nightmare is it possible that the game could receive an E10 or Teen rating? My idea of Nightmare may be a little different from others. I imagine it's not Hell but it sure is Hell's younger sibling. A haunting, scary and twisted atmosphere.

Just want to add to this topic.

I was passing through MySpace when i noticed Julissa had left me a comment. I'm not 100% sure if she was talking about her own music work (as i had commented on her music saying she was a good singer) or if she was refering to our beloved NiGHTS but this is the comment she sent me back -

So...it's May. A Gamers event is happening at the end of this month and now Julissa talks of surprises. Bare in mind, i could be misinterpreting what she's saying and she could be speaking of her own projects outside of NiGHTS but i figured i should post this anyway.

Oh, as for the "AKA KNIGHTS" thing. I called her 'NiGHTS' when i commented on her page and she was just playing along.
She's a really nice person, actually. It's nice that some of these famous peoples are not always up themselves and actually take time to speak with the fans.

Anyways, more news when it comes in.

I really don't like how she said that. NiGHTS being written into the story line. So this isn't going to feature NiGHTS as the star? I think it's the new Samba they're talking about. Or maybe NiGHTS is going to appear in Sonic World Adventure (Sonic Unleashed)? That'd be silly.

I dunno, I'm happy, but I want a game just for him. But I guess this is the best we're gonna get.
