I got plenty of favourite books, but the one I always come back to is "Have spacesuit, will travel" by Robert A Heinlein. I read it the first time when I was eleven or twelve, and I still pick it up occassionally. I'm really not into Sci-Fi, this and Enders Game is pretty much the only exception.

Wow, hard choice. I'd have to say that my two ultimate favourites are probably The Princess Bride (the Good Parts version) and The Phantom Tollbooth. The Princess Bride is just a masterful fantasy work with the message that LiFE iSN'T FAiR and you better get used to it, and The Phantom Tollbooth is full of great wordplay and adventure.
