So.... No idea if someone made this topic already but does anyone have their favorite music from the new game, NiGHTS: Journey of dreams?

Well I really like the Link Challenge BGM, the Cerburus ver. 2 BGM, Chamelan ver. 2 BGM, the RIver one where you have to save the pians from drowning, the music when you have to save the pians from being sucked up..., Wizeman's theme, NiGHTS v.s. Reala theme ((the first one)) and more that I forget which ones are called exactly...

The music is really... how you say it... cute xD also very happy and calm and such.....


What do you guys think? 0.o

Also, does anyone know where to get the actual music to download as MP3s? Or ya'll waiting for the soundtrack to listen to? 0.o

There is a topic down the line talking about the soundtrack. Speaking of the soundtrack, we are still waiting for it to come out. So far I don't know of anywhere that has the songs available for download due to this reason.

I personally like Queen Bella's (Did I spell that right?), and Jewl Fever (It doesn't sound very NiGHTS ish though.). The first remix of NiGHTS Vs. Reala bothers me a bit. The horns just don't sound right for it. The second version which is a remix of the second version of NiGHTS Vs. Reala is a lot better to me.

As for me...the main Lost Park theme, Delight City (I loves me some fully-orchestrated game music), Aqua Garden, and Crystal Castle (both main version and the remix that plays during the platforming level: hate the stage, love the music.)

I be loving the music in the game! All the music brings me a sense of the past, a really strong sense of christmas 96! The 2nd Reala V NiGHTS battle music jawed me hard! I'm preparing to set my laptop to media mode so i can record the music if i cannot find the soundtrack!

Memory Forest reminds me strongly of Mystical Ninja. I love it.

Other than that and Queen Bella, I'm fond of every remake. Theme of a Tragedic Revenge, Growing Wings, the second Bellbridge, and Dreams Dreams: Sweet Snow. All done remarkably. *claps*

Sorry... but they tried too hard on those... also the Bellbridge remix of twinseeds kinda sucks too because the original sounds are muffled in all the wrong ways, like NiGHTS and Reala. Also NiGHTS and Reala wtf is up with that fake synthesizer sound? Isn't this song suposed to be Jazz? sounds liek they tried to make a Jazz song into a metal rock song .... and it died.

I can make jazz into metal rock. It takes a steel guitar and a lot of free time.

SOme of this made me laugh for some reason. At least they made Jazz meet rock sound good in Bella's theme. But yeah, some of the song remixes bother me. I think some of it just has to do with having heard the song one way for so long and then hearing it another way bothers us. So in order for it to work, you need to do a simlpe yet good job. Then again, a lot of the remix songs they made 11 years ago to some of the orginal NiD music was really good....

Dreams Dreams Sweet Snow bothers me a tad because of the pausing in areas that never had pauses before. It makes it hard to follow and I feel like the song is skipping or something. The second part of Bellbride is ok to me but the first part doesn't stick out as much. You know when you are playing a game yet you don't hear or remember the music playing even though its really loud. Yeah...thats what happens to me at that point.

Overall most of the songs are great. But I am easy to please when it comes to music.

Memory Forest was on loop in my head all day yesterday, then this morning it was Delight City followed by Chamelan and Queen Bella

I guess there's no A life changes in the musics after all, (what with the mission system) which makes me sad but it's undeniable that they still made another awesomesauce soundtrack for JoD. I'd agree that the original version of NiGHTS and Reala still beats the new version, and the original 2P mode version faired a bit better, as it was left a little more untouched. Growing Wings ver. 2 is just a slight remix, and we now have around 10 versions of "Dreams Dreams", all things considered..

I've spent a good deal of time just hanging out in the sound test .. be nice if they put in the actual names of the tracks, besides their instances when they occur. But that's all on the OST, which we could only hope they correct their folly and release domestically..

Does anyone but me notice the word "Reala" in the My Dream music sometimes? In mine it constantly plays the same music, and sometimes the eerie singing sounds like "Reala". I don't know. It sounds like "al la la la la eee Re-ah la! Reala! La la la la la al la la lareee Ala!" Something like that.

I'm not having any problems with the archive; I can easily open the files. All you need to do is just extract the archive using WinRAR (for PC http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm) or Zipeg (for both Mac and PC http://www.zipeg.com/home.html).

I'm totally buying the soundtrack when it comes out. Wizemans theme scared the heck outta me the first time I heard it, soft piano hinting a sense of inpending doom? good thing it was morning when I beat the game. being a thespian, I really liked the music used in the "Broadway guide" mission. sounds exactly what I infer broadway is like.
