After a few years of searching, I've gotten them. NiGHTS, Christmas NiGHTS, and a Saturn are all at my command. I've been playing non-stop, and I must say...
THESE GAMES ARE EPIC WIN.
Obviously. My only gripes are that sometimes the controls seem slow. (End of SV Mare 1.)
And the memory. I bought a memory card (Gameshark) and I have it inserted into my Saturn, which has shaky internal memory. The only problem is that the game says I don't have the cartridge in the system. I would check the manual...but it's in French. Help is appreciated.
Back on topic; These games are the best games I have ever played. Seriously. Just felt like sharing. (Please help my memory!)

Congrats! I know what it's like...I did the same thing a few months back! You should also get a 3D Controller if you haven't already. IMHO the analog stick is much better than a regular dpad.
I also bought a memory card (Interact Memory Card Plus) when I bought my saturn but I realized afterwards that a lot of people have had issues with third party memory cards. Apparently they made the boards on the card too thick and it can damage your saturn. Plus they are really buggy and will often erase the memory on the card and the internal memory (this happened to me when I first started using my card). I no longer use my memory card, I just use the internal memory for fear of losing my scores. If you still want to use a memory card you would probably be best off buying an official sega saturn memory card (unless you need a third party card to play import games). You only need a memory card for backup purposes, or if you have used up all of the space on the internal memory. Also, you usually can't access third party cards from within the game, you can only access it from the saturn's option screen, and you have to transfer the memory back and forth between the saturn and the card. You may also have to play with how far in you insert the card (when I used mine I had to insert it all the way and then pull it out a bit to get it to show up).
Hope that helps, and have fun playing NiGHTS! If your interested you should submit your scores to scoreattack.net.

I do have the 3D controller, and it makes everything easier. I'm going to have to try your tips on the memory until I can get a new battery...
Thank you!

Well, I found out that problem. (I was slowing down accidentally.) Well, towards the end of SV1, when you go up for the L shaped ring, I would always slow down. Found out it was just me.
Also, no more memory problems. I bought a new battery today, so all is well in the world. YAY!

'The hell you have the manual in French for?
I'd say just shake the bloody thing until it stops being stupid. That's what I do to my computer when it's running slow and it's always seemed to work.

Well, I'm in the process of selling it.
The manual was in french because the seller was dumb and sent me a french version of the card... I didnt complain, because it said in the auction not all products were in english. Dang it...

Quick question about internal memory. When the battery gets low on power (5 years, right?), can you change the battery WITHOUT losing data?
Also, congrats on getting both NiD and the Christmas Sampler. I wish I had the Christmas sampler.
