- Pretty easy since you're constantly moving to the right and only have to make moderate adjustments.
- I encountered my first Japanese player and totally smoked him four to one.</brag>
- It would be nice if there was a little more to the game's global stats.
- We're seriously going to need to do a tournament sometime.

It seems I am absolutely terrible at the two player race. The first couple of races I had weren't bad. I managed to stay in first through the first lap, but something always happened on the last lap that made me fall behind.

I just raced a Japanese player a few minutes ago and s/he was nearly a half length away from me the entire time. It was nuts.

I've found that the GameCube controller works best for me, so I switched to that. I still can't seem to win a race, though.

I'd like to be able to play, but I'll sit and wait for someone else for a few minutes and nothing happens :\

I've actually gotten pretty good at the races... maybe I've just been playing against newbies, but I've smoked a couple of people and have 20 wins already. I sometimes let people win because we'd played 3 or so games and I won every time. XD

Hmm...I won 5 races in a row before I had my butt handed to me by some rank 3 player...but that was on launch day. I haven't had a chance to play since, but I think I'll hook up my Wii right now and get online.

Those spike rings hax. D:

I just avoid them in Pure Valley and Lost Park. Memory Forest is a different though. There are some places where you have to go through the spikes and it's while coming in at a tricky angle no less (sigh).

I'm just shocked by how fast you can rank up. I'm somewhere in the 70's with like 8 wins...

I'd just like to say, that the online features for this game kick ass. I used to have so much trouble getting people to play with me on the saturn NiGHTS, and now I can just hop on at basically any time and race somebody. It's too bad you can't do the battle mode like that, but after seeing some of the lag in race mode I understand. And yes, a tournament needs to happen.

2P is pretty easy. Me and my brother had a match today. (He was Reala and i was NiGHTS.) I was a mile ahead of him the whole time. Untill i ran into the spikes, That is. :) Then i had to run like heck to catch up! Those spikes are NASTY!

Those spikes are the reason I'm rated number 837 in the world with one win. I raced somebody from Indonesia a few days ago and got my butt royally handed to me on a silver platter. I thought I was ahead and suddenly I see him passing me on his second lap and I think HOLD ON A SECOND WASN'T I JUST IN FRONT OF HIM YES I WAS and I look and I'm still only halfway through my first lap! It's like OMGWTFBBQONASTICKINDECEMBER! Those spikes.... *vows to destroy all spike rings*

If you want a match in MKDS, Pokemon, Metroid, Wii, NDS, X360 or want to challenge me to do something in a non Wifi game (NiGHTS Score challenge, Mario Speedrun, etc.)... Go fo it! I'm always up for a game! :D<br /><br />Next is Photoshop, I've been messing with Photoshop for almost a year and a half already. I like to make stuff out of renders, pictures, videos. A challenge peaks my interest! :)
the 2p races on wifi are pretty good for quick encounters. The races can be too short though and i've already been D/Ced (disconnected) on by other peoples about 10+ times in the last 2 hours. It's like Mario Kart DS all over again! XD

I have to admit that I've been guilty of disconnecting, and I'd like to apologize if I've ever done so against anyone on this board. ^^;

I think the biggest problem with the 2P race is that you can collide with your opponent. I can't tell you how many times I've bumped into my opponent while drill dashing at the beginning of a race. n top of that, the rings disappear when your opponent goes through them, leaving you no hope of catching up unless your opponent smacks into some spikes, which almost never happens against experienced players. Knowing you'll never catch up takes the fun out of a race if you fall even the smallest bit behind. D:

There's pretty much zero incentive to directly fly through spike rings. You gain no speed or dash (then again, unlike NiD, you don't gain speed by flying through rings in JoD period).

Yeah. The only time you want to fly through them is when they're in front of green rings, or when they're part of a shortcut. It's risky, but it sometimes it pays off. They're completely pointless in Pure Valley.

XD There's showing off, too, but anyone who does that deserves to mess up and hit into them.
