The limit on nightopians...I am not sure. I am still trying to find that out myself. I have gotten 82 at one point, but I could not manage them well enough. Its hard enough to stay at 80. Futhermore, when I have that many pians, things I paraloop will not come. What is the deal with that?

Sweet, looks like it's only 80 (maybe 85 if you stick some in the nap area to trick the game???).
Anyhow, I have a Pian with an orange coat thing and none of my other ones have that.
And I got my first two mepains! Yes!

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it or not, but if you keep feeding a large crowd of pians/mepians without stopping, you get fireworks in the horizon as long as you continue. I'm sure there are other things that factor in such as the number of pians you have and how happy they all are to start with, but stuffing their little faces with blue chips seems to make this happen.

This happened once to me, but it started up at about the time the clock struck 6 o'clock. I thought it had to do with the turning of the hour.

I've had fireworks as well. As a matter of fact, it may be from feeding and such, because I went in there with almost 300 blue chips and I was feeding everyone when it happened, on Christmas.

Something I just noticed...

If I stand in a certain spot in My Dream, butterflies start appearing... o_o I have no idea what this means. Hopefully something good.

My biggest complaint about My Dream is that there's no "catch and release" feature. If you could release pian/mepians you didn't want back into Nightopia, it would be much easier to selectively breed. Not to mention they could then breed with the Nightopian population.

Funny story, after not seeing anything on mepians in the manual, I decided the game must not have the system. Implimented, at the same time, I had accidentally created one, and warped it in. After awhile, I noticed some newborns had strange moth wings, I assumed it was just to make different nightopians more unique. Then I came on here, and saw that mepians were in there. Today, I took a closer look, and realised "Oshoot that thing has moth arms too" Just kinda funny.

Also, I feel kinda stupid for asking this, is 'pian and abbreviation for Mepian, Nightopian, or refers to both?

Some behavioral traits I've noticed from certain kinds of mepians:

Bee mepian:
-floats up on a purple balloon
-waves a long butterfly net around

Shleep mepian:
-falls asleep (and snores loudly, lol)
-paints a picture on an easel that sort of looks like a Shleep

Eel mepian:
-Glows

Murtle mepian:
-turns into a treasure chest along with nearby pians, jumps out and surprises you when you try to open it

Seagull mepian:
-waves semaphore flags

Scorpion mepian:
-builds a sandcastle

Seapo mepian:
-blows bubbles

Deworm mepian:
-floats up in an iridescent bubble


Traits I don't know the source of yet:
-kicks a soccerball around (noticed this in both pufferfish and shleepians)
-leaves a sparkle trail when they fly
-sweeps with a broom
-becomes surrounded by sparkles
-builds a bonfire

There are other ones but I'm not sure if they're from mepians or are just 'standard' activities like singing and pulling a party popper. Some of them might be shared, too. ^^

I'm having real problems figuring out where this one Mepian group I have came from. These Mepians (I have roughly 4) have batlike, greyish-purple wings. I haven't really noticed any Maren that have wings like that, so I'm curious as to whether I'm overlooking something.

Don't get why, but I have a Shleepian with wings like that. So guess that's where they come from.

I have good news for those of you who are afraid to leave your My Dream alone for more than two games. I personally got sick of maintaining 80 mepians (yes, mepians) so I decided to just leave them to their own devices for the entire day while I concentrated on dreamdrops and besting other players' top scores (I'm ranked 10th on the Chameleon now, woo!). When I checked today, exactly 40 of my mepians were still walking around and the other 40 just needed revived. Seems the place won't die off that quickly if neglected for a while.

They don't, Murtle mepians also have purplish bat wings. It seems to just be the general wing design for mepians of marens that don't have wings.

And yeah, I think the death rate speeds up when you get too high as well. Three runs gets them down pretty far, but after that, it just sorta maintains itself.

Strange, that happened to me on my second "Maren" profile. So I assumed it's something to do with having alot of Marens.

Speaking of which, my ground's been all leafy lately, like in Memory Forest. Anyone figure out the pattern to the ground textures?

Usually mine just has plain green grass all the time, that's what made it so freaky. I really wonder exactly what causes changes in there...

My guess at the pink grass, is that it has something to do with Delight City. Once, I had just finished a Delight City level and my trees had all turned pink, yellow and a lighter shade of green.

Mine's grass is always green, no matter what..... Lucky.... Not that I like pink but it's the principal of the thing!

Alrighty then, I'll probably stick this in the glitch portion later, but that's for later.
I was on Wi-Fi My Dream with a random dork and they pick up my only Eel Mepian right as I gave it a blue chip and it got stuck in them! It was weird; they moved where the mepian wanted to move (for example: I saw them fly when the Mepian was inside of them and flying) and when they moved my mepian was still stuck in them. They began to leave, I was mad and disconnected via power switch to prevent them from getting it.
Luckily it worked. Anyone else seen this or want to see if it works (I know I really don't).

I tried throwing some of mine off the edge, but they bounced off an invisible wall. o_0 I don't get how some peoples' are committing suicide or being thrown to their deaths...

Must be a glitch in my copy then, because they throw themselves off the edge quite easily in my game. My copy must be glitched somehow. Oh well. They've stopped doing it lately. Perhaps it's because they're mating so fast they don't have time to die.

I think I have some mixed nightopians, but they all have fish heads. I also have about two others wearing white outfits and have slightly larger wings than the normal nightopians, but I have no idea where they came from. I really wish I had some idea of what to do raise these guys because the most I see them do is eat cake from out of nowhere....AND THEY DON'T EVEN SHARE!! GREEDY, LITTLE MONSTERS!!

I decided to pretty much start My Dream over with just my purebred Mepians this time around. Should be interesting to see if their offspring ever show any recessive Nightopian traits.

I got fireworks again not long after the new year started. If there was supposed to be some sort of celebration to go with it, I didn't see if since my Pians were too busy being killed by Marens in preparation for the experiment. Interesting side note... Pian basketball is fun as hell. Grab a Pian, jump and try shooting it in the cauldron.

Also, something weird happened to me recently...I invited a random person into my My Dream, and when they left, there was this strange digital remix of the song that usually plays. It sounded kinda like old-school NES music.

Say, random thought. The manual states that part of what keeps items going is the "flight" abilities of nearby 'pians. This must mean that different 'pians have different flight abilities! Which could explain the source of the mysterious sparkle trail.

I know that some of my 'pians only fly very close to the ground, and other 'pians will fly up so high that even when I jump I can't reach them with Blue Chips and have to wait until they fall back down to Earth again.

I wish that the terrain would change more. All I see is one texture, I wish you could see some browns, some greens, some type of change in elevation for colors but maybe thats just me

I truly think most of it is. The grass changeing is probably random just like the objects that enter you area. Sometimes you think there is a connection, but then something really random and unexplainable happens. Thats pians for you. :/

As for what the startrail is...I do not konw. I thought it was Goodle mepians but I see radom pians with the trail from time to time....

For one, the pink grass is caused by Nightmaren (for whatever reason), and if ivy is growing on something (or if it's covered in snow or pink ivy), that means it's about to disappear.

For two, the ScorPian is AWESOME cause it has three eyes and pincer mouth!

Actually, I think ivy starts growing on stuff if you recently completed the Memory Forest levels....

I've been taking care of My Dream rather extensively and I have yet to stumble upon a Super Pian. I've been keeping my pians happy and have many varieties of mepians. I have a pure mepian for each nightmaren type (except the blue bird maren from Aqua Garden.) It's boggling my mind. @-@

Haha Love the Disco dance floor. One time there was a Saturn console displaying NiGHTS in my dream. I don't think it's there anymore.
