My Dream Info

Well I found out one, the internal clock DOES come back into effect again. Depending on the month depends on the kind of hats the nightipians will have. On Decemeber they have christmas hats, and in October they have witch hats. I have not tried anything else out though.
Nightmarens seem cool, but they hurt you and destroy the place. Darn....
I have no idea how the item system of things coming around works. I think by spending more time in a certain level MAY determine the kind of stuff that appear in the world but I am not certain. It seems to be kinda random actually.
Well thats all I have noticed. Lets see what you guys have found.

Also, the book says that its up to the Nightopians to take care of the items and that is how they stay longer. I guess if we have a lot of them that really like us, then things will stay. However if you have marens then they will destroy things. Thats what the booklet says at least. I hope a game guide comes out for this.
---Edit---
Anyone notice how the pians start to mob around you when you start feeding them... I try to feed everyone, but the others come in and I can't! "Go away! shoo! You had your dinner!"

I'm serious. Here's the scene:
You're trying to get a certain Mepian, so you're hanging around where you can find the Maren, right? And you just sit there, waiting for a Pian to get in range, while at the same time, sitting just out of the Maren's 'I see you!' range. For quite a while, hoping one comes along before your time runs out. Waiting. Your time runs out. Try it again. Waiting. Time runs out. Again. There's one! You go to Paraloop, but then, you accidentally grab the maren and send it flying. CR*P!! Now, you've gotta restart the level, and sit there, again. Hoping a Pian comes by. I really hope Iizuka-san made it easier than THAT.

I think DU would be right on that. ... In which case, that's going to be annoying as h*ll, trying to get certain Mepians.

Well, on the upside, you can't accidentally kill Pians with a Paraloop this time around...
Whether or not this is a good trade-off (or even if the system is as tedious as you've described) remains to be seen.

But, I haven't gotten the game yet, so I haven't seen what rediculous places the Pians will go. My main worry is that the Pians don't FLY up to where the enemies are. That would be a pain, triyng to mix an enemy that doesn't get near the ground, with a Pian that doesn't FLY into range. *Headdesk* I'm frustrating myself, and I don't even have the game yet. XD However, it's the frustrating things that keep me hooked, so... I'll be hooked on NiGHTS' My Dream feature for a while. XD

Quite a conundrum isn't it? I wonder what the purpose of putting marens in there is since they are nothing but negative. You can't even touch them. They hurt you and throwing chips at them kills them. I guess you can have fun with target practice....:/I haven't seen any mepians at all... I don't know if there will be any, for I tried to allow some Nightmaren into my My Dream and they just eat the poor Pians! D:
The hard thing about hitting marens into pians in this game is the fact that the levels are a lot bigger than in the last game. In the last game, you just keep spawning pians and drill dashing marens and eventually you get something. I RARLY even touch a maren on a level. I am so busy trying to go trhough all the rings and catching the bird that I don't notice anything else around me...
Also, truning into the kid in this game is really bad. So don't try it. I miss the alarm clock. When we said we hated it...that didn't mean make something thats even worse!
---Edit---
I just hit a pian with a mepian and an egg was formed. However, I accidently paralooped the egg and then lost to the level so I don't think I got that egg. I think it may be safe to say there are mepians. Otherwise that would not have happend.

Yes those are mepians. I have several too. When they have all maren parts then they are technically marens...but you may want to specify that its a pian turned into a maren. They look differernt. I have one of those.I've got some mixed Pians. Those are the mepians, right? Pians mixed with maren? You'll have to excuse me, I didn't play the original and haven't done much research on it. If you want to see them, come over to my garden. I've got plenty of them.
I will probably go and visit everyone's garden and you are all welcome to mine. Its quite wonderful at the moment. (Well except that random moment when everything went to FLAMES!) BUt I won't be able to do any of that till tomarrow and I still need to add codes.
How many pians do you guys have in your garden? I have 80 and they are a handful. I wonder what the max is.

Maybe there's something for
----
There are also things such as cacti, disco lights, and dolphin fountains that you can probably relate to specific levels.

the maren in there i see as population control... i know i wouldn't be able to maintain 80 'pians.
i need to go back and try and find the mepians i created during story mode.

If you want to maintain your items then you need a Lot of pians and feed them a lot of blue chips. They need to be happy. Friends and blue chips seem to make them happy. The more you have and the happier they are, they more your place grows. Your terrain will slowly start to change as well. Check around and see if you notice any small slopes and such. When things wither, they can be brought back to life because of the work of your pians. But again, you need a lot of them and they need to be happy.
NOte that marens and mepians destroy your stuff though. Don't be surprized when you see a little bonfire going.
No matter how many pians you have, some things will dissapear after awhile. Its hard for those little guys to manage.
As you complete Bellbride for both normal and then all C or better mode with both kids, the skyscrappers in the background will increase.
Here is a good way to keep your pians alive.
1. Play whatever level you want.
2. Go play a level that gives you lots of blue chips. This is either the link attqck or chase mission.
3. Go to your My Dream world.
4. Start feeding all near death pians.
5. Now just start going all around and feeding everyone. DOn't get upset about overfeeding or missing some. Its impossible to keep track when you have more than 30. Just keep feeding like crazy.
6. Keep a close eye on your pian total. If it goes down then you need to revive someone. If it goes up, then there is an egg to hatch.
7. Once all chips are gone or you are board, leave the area.
8. Start again at step 1.
This is tedious as hell so I suggest you complete all the missions before you go about raising these guys. You don't need to do so much for a few...but when you have a lot then you must. I hope this helps some of you guys.
Also note that you don't have to paraloop a lot of these guys. They produce eggs very quickly so a few will do.
----Edit----
I spend way to much time with these guys.

Any other discoveries? I've noticed that the background music changes based on what levels you were playing in/where you get your Pians. For instance, I was in Aqua Garden for a while and when I returned to the garden, the music had an aquatic, bubbly sound to it. I also had about 10 or 12 bubbles flying around high in the sky. The grass texture also changes. I've had a plain grass texture and one that looked like green plants with four or so leaves on them. I liked that one a lot. Anyone else have a ton of ugly tree stumps around their garden?

But that is what they do! They are marens. XD That is why I make sure to get rid of them.A nightmaren ATE one of my nightopians RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!
Edit: Those damn things ate 3 out of 5, 1 of which i just finished feeding!
Yes I have a lot of tree stumps too. Trees don't seem to last long there.
As for losing the pians after completing levels, do what my tips say. I am teelling you. You cannont go more than 2 levels without seeing them. And after the second level you need to be in there and have a lot of blue chips. This means playing a level for no reason other than getting chips and delaying you from practicing and getting better grades in the game. Its really annoying. Don't sit on retry to long on a level either. It doesn't reset the My Dream time I believe.
I am telling you peope...FEED THEM OFTEN.
Time is passing rather quick while you play.

Really? What time is it so that they don't have hats. You can't see the halo's when the hats are on.Hm. It seems like the Nightopians' halos correspond to how hungry they are. Perfectly fine is bright yellow, and hungry is red. It only took 2-3 blue chips to feed an "unconscious" Pain back to full, though.

Also, I dont know why or how, but a lake has started to form in mine. And I can see Bellbridge on the horizon. Whee.

Isn't the weather only supposed to change if your Wii is connected to the internet? It's started to snow in mine, and I don't even have a way to connect my Wii to the internet. Is it because it's near Christmas, or something?

You make me fearful. XD I could hardly take care of Eight Chao in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle... This is going to be h*ll! XD Especially if you want Pians and Mepians in the same garden. ... That settles it, then... I'ma have Mepian only garden. XD Bonfires away!
It might be interesting, really, seeing what All-Mepians does to your garden. It could stay Flat, or... ... Or something really cool could happen. Shrines to Wizeman, bonfires, Nightmaren running Rampant! BWAHAHAHAHA! ... Yes, I am a sick, sick person.
(And has anyone recorded MEPIANS breeding like rabbits? Obviously, their first habit would be to purge the garden of Pians, but after that? No Pians around, just eight or so Mepians hanging around?)

THe game manuel says that if you have a lot more marens then nightopians then the land will change to suit them. The same goes for pians. However, Mepians count as pians in this game. They are just more mischievious.

And, not to get further off-topic, but I wonder what the 'King Pian' is, in this game, and how to get it. Iizuka-san said he put one in, in the interview, right? I wonder how you're supposed to get it.
Seeing how complex the Chao Garden was, on the Gamecube- (People are still researching how to get cooler-looking Colored Chao) - I'm assuming this Garden will be just as, if not more complex.

Do the Pians wear different hats according to the season and holiday? oO Because I noticed that older screenshots from months ago, the pians had witch hats on and stuff. xD

Yes they do. The witch hats are in October.I beat the game with Will and Helen (the normal endings) and My Dream is covered in snow. xD

Also, the bonfires are not actually items burning. They are just little fires created by mepians and they go away after awile. But I have been noticing things dissapearing as of late...
Also, I want to know if any of you can manage more than 80 pians? I can't go over that much. Its just too hard. Maybe I need to gather more from the levels.
Also, when you have over 70 pians, the multipling rate goes down a lot.

And on a more humorous note, I have a cauldron in my garden and I moved the camera just right and saw that there was an egg inside of it. I couldn't get it out.
