Behold, a lurker from below speaks!

I have been writeing a fanfic for NiD and now I have writers block due to a few lore questions.

The fanfic is about a mother who is on the verge of loseing her son after he has been hit by a car. She falls asleep in the emergency waiting room. In her dreams she meets a creature (NOT a Nightmaren) who offers to guarantee her son's survival if she procures a "token" from each of the great Nightmaren for it. Aka the boss maren, this includes NiGHTS.

I can't figure out what tokens to give who. Some are obviouse, like Jackle's cards or Clawz's mice. However, there are some that I just can't figure out. Namely, NiGHTS and Reala. "hey now" you say "NiGHTS invisable flute and Reala's lip stick should be the answer!" but alas I'm looking for a more devastateing answer.

Maybe NiGHTS flute is an answer, but how would my "dreamer" get it in the first place? and does it even exsist? the second option would be the red Crystal imbedded in his chest. But yet again, how would she get it and what effect would that have on him?

I'm just plain stuck on Reala and will take any suggestion given in to consideration. Even the lip stick, if someone can give me a good plot point on it. Suggestions for the other Maren are welcome too.

As mentioned in the description, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. I felt that this was more of a lore question and have no intention of posting the fanfic in this thread.

The chest gem for NiGHTS would work. I think it'd really weaken him or even possibly kill him.

As for Reala, maybe his hat or gauntlets? It really depends on if you're gunna go with old Reala or new, JoD Reala. If you go with JoD Reala, you could use his chest gem too, but that may be a bit redundant.

I'm personally preferring you to use the invisible flute for NiGHTS, since that would be extremely difficult to procure (nearly impossible, and I'm entertaining my half-awake brain right now thinking of ways for someone to get it), but that's just my opinion and I don't know why I prefer it that way. Reala... wow, that's difficult. Maybe you should make up something he 'has' that's completely unexpected for him to possess. I'm suddenly wondering what she'll take from Wizeman...

I don't think Wizeman is a maren...
NiGHTS' token would be his freedom. In the form of a key. Lock em up.
Reala's token would be a spike from his throne. Or maybe, if it's JOD, his mask. I look forward to reading this.

I'm more familliar with the NiD cast then I am with the JoD cast. but since I am only at the drafting stage of this fic I might want to wait for JoD. there look to be more options for Tokens for NiGHTS and Reala. I personally like the Idea of stealing the masks. Then I'll have to figure out how My dreamer survives angry Nightmaren.

I personally agree with the person who said NiGHTS' token would be a key to lock him up. Seems logical to me.
