well, i never knew there were games of it but i watched the anime a couple of times, and the final episode too. It looked really weird to me but...i liked it XD i like weird things.

I have 2 japanese box sets of the anime. So i haven't seen the anime past episode 40. But yeah, the games inspired the anime (and the anime fighting game Red Hot Rumble). But the VJ fans are like the Shenmue fans now.

It's a shame Clover was dissolved, but the key member made a new independent company called Seeds Inc. Sadly, since they're independent, they have no rights to their former IPs so I doubt we'll be seeing a new Joe game anytime soon.

I love Joe! I thought the first one was easily the best out of all of them. VJ2 and Double Trouble were okay and Red Hot Rumble was pretty bad. But damn, that first game was great. For me personally, the first Viewtiful Joe was one of the best games on Gamecube, one of the best games last generation, and one of the best game s of all time.

True. The gameplay and story in VJ1 was awesome. But it went into a downward spiral after that. VJ2's gameplay wasn't that great but the story was good. I find myself playing the bosses in VJ2 more than playing VJ1 just because of the "scene selection". Double Trouble was a good effort and Red Hot Rumble was good to me except the random mini-game vortexes and the fact that you sometimes couldn't tell where you were.
Clover AND Seeds is no more. They are call "Platinum Games" now.
The anime so far is good. Just need to get that last box set...

I remember the anime used to come on KidsWB but now that's gone and so is the Viewtiful Joe anime. I can't find any boxsets anywere either.
Eww...The English dub. The only thing the English dub did right was keeping the original Japanese music in some places.
