Hey all, the GameStop I work at just got these in. They are available free with the purchase of any E-Rated SEGA game.

(probably would have been nicer if the disc itself wasn't turned funky when I scanned it.... oh well)


There's only one video on it, contrary to what our Nintendo Representative told me (the damn liar > ). But I don't think its something we've seen before. It's an 8-minute video about converting NiGHTS from the classic on the Saturn that we love oh-so-much to the wonderful sequel that we all wait for with baited breath. There are interviews in the video with Takashi Iizuka and the staff that helped this long-awaited sequel a reality. Thank you SEGA ^.^

It makes me laugh that every time they say "Wizeman" they show Reala. Silly video makers. ^.^
A sweet thing they mention is that the "My Dream" portion was made based entirely off of fan feedback.

The YouTube Upload isn't too great, but I plan to send in the 720x480 HD version in to TRiPPY and DiGi. Anyone know how I can do that with a 280MB file? Yeah, It's a big 'un, but I like my NiGHTS vids to be in HD.

Sadly, this was the only goodie to speak of. I had been told that there were quite a few things on it by our Nintendo Representative when she visited our store, but everything she "knew" was tentative information. The one thing I can think of would be that there is Wii-specific footage or demos (NO PROMISES). This would make sense since the game is Wii-exclusive and Wii content cannot be read on a standard DVD drive. Though I'm not holding out too much hope for any additional footage. I just can't imagine that they would do that.

TRAViS or someone else with a Wii and this DVD, please look into that?

Just watched it. That was really cool, almost brought a tear to my eye. It's so nice to see NiGHTS getting attention like this. That was a really good documentary and i'm really glad to hear Iizuka say things like he hopes players from this will be able to see NiGHTS in their own dreams. It seems the heart of NiGHTS is still very much intact and i'm glad.

I loved it!! It's heartwarming to see Sega put so much into JoD!!! I felt like crying! And I had to Lol on the parts where they kept saying Wizeman and showing Reala at the same time! ^o^

Wow, that was really cool. I guess that they think that Reala is Wizeman...

Oh, well, at least they showed some of the model building that they did as well as give a nice recap to what we already knew. I love all the attention that the game seems to be getting from its developers.

I think the only reason they show Reala when they mention Wizeman is because they probably didn't want to ruin the final boss battle or any particular story points with Wizeman in it. But that's just my guess. They seemed to have done their homework before they made this documentary so i think it's just to keep the image of Wizeman underwraps.

Also, did you see how much concept art they had for JoD?

Yeah, I would think that they wouldn't want to ruin the final boss for all the new players that the game is sure to get. I can only imagine that was why they showed Reala when they mentioned Wizeman. Plus the fans that have played/know the original will be able to remember who Wizeman was just from the sight of Reala. Also fans that have (possibly) forgotten about Wizeman (BLASPHEMY) will have thier memories jogged at the sight of a Reala screencap. And yes. Artbook would be lovely. ^.^

I think that they just started shipping them out from corporate yesterday. It may take a little time for Loren's store to get 'em.

Nice! That's cool to see it actually being produced. Lot of nifty stuff on there. Although the whole Wizeman/Reala thing kinda annoys me...at the very least they could've said the word Reala instead of continually referring to him as Wizeman...

The DVDs are available as long as they are in stock. However I think it's a one-time delivery. I know my store got roughly 40 of them, so they shouldn't run out all that fast, unless a LOT of people know about it (which I'm sure they don't). You might be able to get a hold of one if you ask the store associates, though I'm not sure how many of them are like me and will give them away.

Yes, however that only applies if they still have the DVDs in stock. By that point they may have resorted to giving them out just to get rid of them since there's no reason to market it anymore (in the stores' eyes anyway).

Just talked to the guy at GameStop on the phone and thankfully the dude said I'll get the disc when I pick up the game. I just got the craziest sugar attack in my life. Everything feels all spastic I can barely type straight. This Christmas will be good

...WOW! Just...WOW. That was awesome! I like the "My Dream" section...it's like rasing Chao(But with more options)!!

And whoever edited that video must've had NO idea who Wizeman is,cuz the showed Reala...BUT the fact that they showed (For a slight moment) Reala TALKING on one of the computer monitors fills me with GLEE. Pure GLEE. Enough GLEE for it to be entirely capitalized. I can't wait to hear his speaking lines.
