Congrats TRiPPY on gettin' your questions answered (for our sake) and glad you got some awesome praise for your art, you are very talented.

Although that Selph question is gonna get you into a lot of trouble, make sure on between the 14th-18th Jan that your into hanging around any clock towers with snipers inside them. You know to much! Sonic Team are coming for you!

I'm glad the game is multi controller usable now I can use my trusty GC controller and feel totally old skool!

*sticks finger up at production of NiD PS2* @$%& TEASE!!

Masks sound like they prevent obstacles from hindering you, thats cool enough for me.

More interaction with Nightopians means... *shoves chao in a blender and puts 100% TLC into Nightopians* <3

I think this is the only Wii game to totally initialise the great use of wi-fi on the Wii.

Looking forward to more info.

Thanks again TRiP

Good work guys, and major kudos to ArchangelUK for getting our questions answered!

Hmm... since the PS2 remake was brought to subject by two different outlets, SEGA Nerds and this site, Iizuka might as well consider the demand for the PS2 NiGHTS to be brought over to Europe and North America. Just the way he followed his answer with "... so far" implies that he intends to do something about it.

Wow that made for an interesting read! XD Positivity levels rising again.

As for Wizeman and Reala being alive, I always thought that since NiGHTS can't really die (the children just wake up), then neither can Reala (who was basically created as NiGHTS's equal, immortality and all) or Wizeman (who is technically stronger than the both of them - how could he make anything stronger than himself?).

...makes sense to me, at least.

Also it explains why NiGHTS was locked in the ideya palace and not just... disposed of. Maybe maren can't be killed.

Wait...from what I read it only said the PS2 version is not comeing to Eruope. Is America included in that as well?

*Too hungry to respond to other information. Most have made comments about it all anyway.*

So is the PS2 remake only coming out in Japan and North America? Or is it only Japan? I like the vague hope offered by the VC thing..."so far."

Well, I really do not care about online score charts but it certainly is nice. Holiday content for My Dream, eh? Once again, nice. Nothing very shocking, but very good info, nonetheless. This game's standing with yours truly keeps rising. Here's hoping nothing horrible gets revealed before the game releases.

Awesome! Hey, thought- might they include whatever they accomplished of AiR NiGHTS as a JoD extra?

Iizuka's got his head in the ground not to realize the demand for the PS2 version outside Japan. For NiGHTS's sake, please do the right thing and release the PS2 port worldwide.

I guess it dosen't hurt that NiD is Japan only cause there was not much language to try and understand in the first place XD

Have your Saturn and PS2 hooked up to two diff. TV's and see what menus to go to from the Saturn display XD

Great interview! Thanks TRiPPY, and thanks to ArchangelUK for representing!

The video footage of Iizuka-san's response to Selph is going to be hilarious! Can't wait!

The global ranking feature sounds cool. Hopefully the scoring system will be as addictive as the original.

And congrats TRiPPY on getting your artwork shown to Iizuka-san. Very cool!

Again, it's awesome that Sega is remembering and responding to the community!

TRiP's in the process of making the interview page for the website but she says she's waiting for the video to be sent over so she can put it on the page too. So, whenever you get your hands on it be sure to send it over to us, Arch. Cheers, man. ^_^

I wonder if all the game developers are like that...:) I mean, Iizuka didn't know we know about Selph? Reminds me the situation when Yuji Naka was asked about Sonic-2's Hidden Palace Zone... He was amazed as though he didn't ever know Hidden Palace Zone is a matter of common knowledge in the Sonic fanbase... And now the same happens to Iizuka
Now I know. They think fans aren't clever enough, which is sad and annoying :(

I'm not sure why but I keep getting this feeling that Iizuka-san deserves a page on this site. However my feelings usually don't lead to happiness so just ignore this message.

I can't possibly express how fishing ecstatic I am over this news.

Selph was supposed to be forgotten... surprise, surprise, Iizuka! XD
Dear heavens I am looking forward to that reaction so much. I'm such a diehard Selph addict. <3

All this information on levels, characters, gameplay, extra features and the like is absolutely amazing.
As if we didn't have enough reasons to be spazzing out over JoD...!

Assassination squad this afternoon! XD
Do keep us posted, though. I can't wait to see what lovely new information you guys are getting later on today.

Best of luck with getting everything posted, TRiP!
And of course, thank you again for getting these answers for us!

Sorry to sound impatient but it has been an entire day now. I assume TRiPPY is done with the interview page. All she needs now is that video from Arch. Anyone here have an estimate? The interview does sound enticing.

Well, last i heard from Arch' was this morning and usually he replies to emails quite quickly so i'm guessing he's been really busy today. Best not pester him, eh? I'm sure he's a busy man :D Besides, me and TRiP are needing to be heading out the house soon anyway so the update probably won't be tonight in any case.

Are we waiting for NintendoLife or Sega for the audio/video?
Seganerds said the translator wasn't great, so i could get Seiya to translate the audio in detail perhaps. Ahhhh Japanese staff lol.

Some videos being put up on YouTube by SEGA Nerds next couple of days, salvaged photos up on their site now, video and audio up from Mr Mike Taylor (new member) soon I'm told. If I'd known I was gonna be doing the interviewing I'd have brought my vid camera in.

Wow! That new kids' level shown on Sega Nerds looks really cool. They got to play the game over there, too! The game might be so close to being out. They said that the level looks amazing for a Wii game. There are many things that people were complaining about and now they seem to be all resolved.

You know, I was looking at the pictures from the interview on Sega Nerds with the book showing the scores from Pure Valley and I was wondering what the other tabs on the side of the book are for. Obviously the 1, 2, and 3 are the levels Will goes through, then the next one looks like a Pian (garden data perhaps?), but I can't tell what the other two are. Any guesses?

I'm also glad to hear that the game is looking good and that they are seeing the platform sections as a bonus instead of a distraction from the main game. Of course, I love platforming games so I won't have a problem with them at all. Aaaah! I can't wait for this game!

First, allow me to congratulate you Trippy, your art deserved that attention. Now maybe SEGA will hire you to do their NiGHTS posters (wishful thinking). Now allow me to thank our informant for sending us the interview. I really hope that we can get to see Iizuka-sensei's reactions to the Selph question.
