An analysis of Reala's voice clip

I'm a relatively new member, so I'm sure I've missed tons of discussions about what Reala actually says in his short voice clip from NiD, so please forgive me for adding another one to the pile.
I have concluded the following.....
First off, the voice actor is definitely British.
Second, there is completely NO way he says "There is NO nights".....
I've narrowed it down to 2 possibilities:
"Very slow nights"
"There is ONE nights" (this may need further analysis)
How did I figure this out you ask? By implementing the magic of frequency smoothing, noise reduction, tempo/pitch slowdown, and dynamic range compression. Ladies and gentleman, marens and pians, I present to you exhibits A and B:
Exhibit A - http://kurosen.com/reala.mp3
Exhibit B - http://kurosen.com/reala2.mp3
In exhibit A, I have taken the voice clip and applied all the magic listed above to get rid of the echo as best as possible and isolate anything non-redundant within a 0.01ms time frame (this is called the attack/decay time). If we were able to get rid of the scrambler effect completely, the voice as heard in this clip is probably what the voice actor's true voice sounds like.
In exhibit B, I did a little more work and narrowed it down to the first 0.8 seconds of the original sound clip (the part that sounds like "there is one" / "very slow"), then refined all the magic I mentioned to slow it down even further and amplify only the consonant's of the clip as best as I could. If you listen very closely, you can hear that there is no N pronounced after the first S, though possibly one after what sounds like a W.
Also worth mentioning is the fact that there are virtually no hills (let alone gaps) in the visual waveform where we hear the words "very" or "there is", which makes me believe he is saying "very", but I still can't discount that possible N after the W from exhibit B that I mentioned.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks
EDIT: Fixed links. My bad

"there iisu No- Nightsu" Is how a Japanese speaker would pronounce it based on the education system of sounds for symbols in Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. (It would have been spelled out in Katakana)

But you guys can speculate all you like. I give up, from now on I'm just gonna assume that all the incomprehensible voice clips are in Nightmare language or something XD
What Reala's REALLY saying is "Kiss my ass, NiGHTS!" >:0

As for me, I can hear both of what you're saying (Very slow NiGHTS/There is one NiGHTS), but in the end, my brain keeps going back to "There is no NiGHTS."
But, I need to ask, when in the game is this actually heard, as that may lend a clue as to what Reala is actually saying. When NiGHTS time is getting low/After you lose a life fighting Reala? It could just be Reala getting cocky Before/During the Fight. (You must remember, I have never played the original game) Or, Reala/The Game thinks you're doing something that's putting you in a vulnerable position, and Reala is going to attempt to finish you off. Etc, etc. I need to know these things. XD

Someone may be able to give you a more technical description than that, but that's what I've been led to believe.

I played it over and over to try and figure out what he was saying. I came up with three possible answers:
There is no NiGHTS which is the most common belief.
Very slow NiGHTs
and There is one NiGHTS.
I guess there is no NiGHTS means that Reala will destroy NiGHTS during the battle which will therefor wipe NiGHTS out of existence.
Very slow NiGHTS probably means that Reala had probably been watching NiGHTS progress and had been waiting for the battle.
There is one NiGHTS means that Reala is like another NIGHTS, so if he takes NiGHTS out he will be the only NIGHTS.
So with all these explinations for what he said he cannot be speaking jibberish!

I can confirm after picking this thing apart in every conceivable way through hours (yes, hours!) of different tweaks, Reala doesn't pronounce the letter N after "very" / "there is". My initial exhibit B is still the best proof of that, but I have worked very hard since the posting of this thread on the 0.15 seconds transitioning the word(s) "very or "there is" and the sound that proceeds it.
I also took into account what LadyTwinkle said, and did a little more analysis on the vowel pronunciation. I can say with about 85% accuracy that it is not being pronounced by a "Japanese sounding" voice actor, and at the very least, it is certainly not with the "oo" sound at the end of words. To test this, I reversed the diagnostic to pickup vowels more than consonants and in about 10 seperate passes, I can confidently say that there are no "oo" sounds within the extracted passes (ie: filtering out reverberation).

I did think about that, about him saying "none" as a mix of the "one" and "no" theories.I still hear "There is one..." in the first clip, but in the second I hear "none" instead of "one" O_o
And actually, he seems to says all of the sentences listed above, but that we already know.
... So now I'm confused.
And all of beanio12's theories are not helping my case. @.@
PS.: When I first heard the voice clip, the thought of someone's "DERE IZ NO NEITZ!" comment came to my head. We could make this another theroy. @w@

But I have to admit, something I've never really liked about the 'There is one/no' theory is that it's so esoteric.. (is that the right word?) like, you have to infer too much meaning. With the 'very slow' theory, it seems a little more plausible, especially since physical speed is a primary characteristic of both Maren.
Well then, I guess one thing we can all agree to is that if Sonic Team meant for his words to be partially ambiguous, they succeeded..

'Let's Fight!' would be a nice little line for Reala to say though.

From listening to all the voice clips. They reek of backwards speak.
Someone may be able to give you a more technical description than that, but that's what I've been led to believe.
Well, as a video producer I've got a few audio editing programs, there's a way to find out. Is there anyway to download the voice clips online? I've only been able to hear them on the Sega Saturn.
Slightly off topic, has anyone noticed the strange chanting/phrases being uttered throughout Jackle's theme song "The Mantle"? They're very very low and with alot of reverb. I was just wondering if anyone knew what they were saying or if that's a topic that's been discussed before?

I can't make out the entirety of the first Phrase, although i can ehar the world "Beutiful" at the end of it. But the second one- The one that is said twice, always sounded to me like "Verushud Sondhiem"... Absolutly NO IDEA what the Hell THAT even MEANS!?
On the subject of Reala's voice, perticuly, his phrase, the speculated "There Is No NiGHTS!" I might be able to shed some lihg ton that. I think i remember somewhere reading a Theory upon why he say's that. Or at least, it's the one i go by and am going to use in my Fanfic. That aside, the Theory is he acctualy says that because he Refuses to accept that NiGHTS Betrayed Wizeman, and is lying to himself, telling himself there is no more NiGHTS. Basicly, he is pretty much saying "NiGHTS is Dead!!". Even thought he can See and Hear NiGHTS, However, he once again just lies to himself and just decides upon thinking that he is Someone else...
Grante dim fairly sure that is NOT Cannon in any sense of the word, that is just what i have read somewhere.
That aside, i honestly have no idea what he's saying... But it does sound interesting...

It's Reala's battle cry from before you fight him as a boss. He says "there is no NiGHTS". He's denying NiGHTS' existence because he sees NiGHTS as a traitor to Wizemans cause. That's my opinion.Well, for those of us (Such as myself) who haven't heard the Original, Unmodified Clip, could you put it up for comparison? (Partly because I need to hear the original for comparison, but mostly because I wanna hear it unmodified. XD)

Since I also have some sound editing programs so I took a look and and went over multiple times.
I heard where you hear one but once I went over many times (and before reading others reviews) I here more of "none" rather than "one".
Reala Voice Clipped
This is clipped to where it sounds like he is saying "There is none..."
I reduced the hissing sound that I heard and the sound might be low because I tend to have my sound very low. (Sensitive ears.)
I think the echo really throws some things off though. X_X

When I tried to download the 'Reala Voice Clipped' thing you posted... I opened Dreamcast 04! XD Which is convenient for me, 'cause I've been trying to open it in Realplayer anyway. XD

it's only giving the impression of saying "none" because after what would be "no" he starts immediately into "NiGHTS" so it's like "there is noN" where the sound clip is cut.
Relisten to the first clip that kurosen linked.
I will make a cut between the none sound and the NiGHTS sound to break it down though.
Reala Break down
I can hear "none NiGHTS" still.
(Hiss reduced and might have low sound still.)

Also it's not backwards speak, I've already tried that. Some of the music is creepy backwards though. lol But there isn't any hidden messages from what I could tell. I used to hear "Now it's too late" but I don't think thats intentional.
