Okay guys, NiGHTS is just now out in Japan. I checked the Japan Time Zone clock and December 13th has just started. To commemorate this time, I played the final level of NiD and watched the ending to acknowledge where the series left off and stayed for the past 11 years up until just now.

Anyone here from Japan, go buy the game and please do share your impressions.

Seiya will be getting the game delivered to her home tomorrow morning, i believe. I get the the strangest feeling we won't be hearing from Seiya for a while now, lol XD

What an incredible event. After two generations of gaming passed with almost nothing concerning NiGHTS, the sequel to the original has finally come to the Wii, the greatest of the next-gen consoles. It truly is a momentous occasion, one that deserves a large cookie to celebrate.

And 4.5 out of 5 stars? Awesome, especially with that coming from Japan. They were the ones who weren't as fond of the original NiGHTS as all of us others, right?

As I've said in another thread, I went to the WalMart in the next town over from mine and saw their listed release date for JoD - December 20th. I'm guessing that that's either wrong or that particular store's release day, but I thought I'd let you guys know in case there's a slight delay for the U.S. so nobody panics and floods the forums with questions of 'WTF? Where's JoD????'.

Righty do da. I just got an email from Seiya saying that her and Akasabi now have the game in their hands and they've been playing it all morning.
So, the Sega PR who told me about some 'delay' can now go and spin on himself for getting it wrong. Looks like it's 100% certain to be heading your way on those original release dates, so hopefully there will be no more confusion now.

As for what Seiya thinks of the game, well i'll just qoute what she said in the email -

"AAAAAAhhhh!!!! YYaaayy!!! JoD reached me todayyyy!!!!XD Wheeee!!!!
It's amazing!! I was very surprised because Reala appeared very soon when I started to play the game!!

Oh dear god... *facepalms* Not to insult her, but I do hope Akasabi is either reading too much into this or it's not so bad as we're thinking. If there's just hints that most of the population can shrug off as them being brothers, okay (that's actually what I was squeeing about when I posted that one screenshot of Reala talking to NiGHTS and wondering what they were talking about, because it looked like civil conversation).

I'm stunned by this news. What I really want to hear is Reala's voice. The little we heard of it via a grunt in a video clip indicates he has a much "gruffer" voice now. Seiya, any way you can record a sample for us if you have the chance?
