Ooh. I love fighting games. I ain't that great at them but i still love 'em. So, favourite characters are -

Street Fighter Alpha 2 - Guy
Street Fighter 3 Third Strike - Yang (also Ibuki)
Rival Schools - Hyo Imawano, Edge and Akira
Guilty Gear - Chip
Smash Bros Melee - Marth (though Shiek is also quite cool)
Soul Calibur series - Mitsurugi (i'm a sucker for the katana sword) ....though Ivy is quite cool, also.
Dead or Alive series - Jann Lee
Marvel VS Capcom 2 - Felicia, the guy with the lazer-sword and Ryu (just because i love spamming that big f***-off hadoken, lol)

It would nearly be impossible for me to name every single one of my favorite fighting characters are but I can give a basic description of the type I normally chose to play with.

Normally they are the characters that are "way out there" or utterly ridiculous in some sense.
(Those type characters that doesn't seem to fit well with the rest of the characters.)

Right now I playing Arcana Heart and Hokuto No Ken(Fist of the North Star) and I am really looking forward to the HD remake of Super Street Fighter II Turbo that is coming to the PS3 and Xbox360. I am all about the 2D fighters! Here are a few of my favorites

Vampire/Darkstalkers series: Bulleta, Gallon, and Lilith
King of Fighters series: Iori, Vice, and Mature
Guilty Gear series: Zappa, Dizzy, and Bridget

The only fighting game I play is Darkstalkers, and my favorites are Zabel, Lei-Lei, Bulletta, and Jedah.

And for the record, not EVERYONE likes Felicia. I absolutely LOATHE that character and enjoy killing her every chance I get. Because she annoys me. :|

Fighters Megamix: I'm going for the Hornet from Daytona only because of the WTF material, I mean a car as a fighter? A awesome awesome idea

Fighting Vipers: Bahn, pretty strong character and just clicked with me I suppose

Sonic the Fighters: What can I say, fast combos and that spin attack moves make Sonic the Hedgehog my favourite here.

Bloody Roar 3: I don’t play this game very often, though when I do I usually pick either Xion, Gado or Uriko

Soul Calibur 2: Talim, quick and effective combos.

Virtua Fighter: Akira Yuki is a pretty hard to master, but damn, get those combos of his running and he can demolish you in a few moves. Jeffrey I've always liked too, mainly due to his raw POWAH and that body slam attack of his. Since Virtua Fighter 5, Eileen has become a fav of mine too, quick and effective. Just like Talim actually.
