She probably will. ^^ She mentioned still having to draw mine when I put her DB drawing on my DeviantART page. But I'm in no rush, since I didn't even know about them doing that at first and she's using Purgatory instead of drawing an all new one. That first one, if its you, is very scary and awesome. O_O
Yeah, I was appointed 'Maren by doing that test a couple days after I joined. I remember you having been made one shortly before the forums went down.. But I'd still draw them. ^^

The force of your poses are incredibly dynamic, even when they're set on a level plane. Your style is really something else. I'm not a big fan of sharp edge renderings normally but you're one of the rare ones to really make it work. You have a great sense of line volume and your colouring is just really vivid, eyes-glue-to-screen vivid.

Sorry for the double post, but it's been a few months since my last once, so I don't think I'm in the wrong. Anyway, with NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams out, I thought it would be nifty to update mah Maren to the new game's style. This guy, Shadow Duality, was originally designed by Dark Burraki (DB) who did a very awesome job with that. So, going from that, here he is in JoD style.


I've been calling him Dualos. If anyone wants to look at a higher res/larger version to see the little details better, I have that as well.

I keep thinking Kain but I think that's because your name is Kato and they both start with Ks. He's really awesome looking! I like the tentacle-back things... they remind me of dreams I've had... they're really wicked!

Hmmmm...Well, he's supposed to represent human nature that is supressed. A person's 'dark-side' so to speak. I was thinking of calling him Hyde, or Hidon, but I'm not sure. They don't seem to express his nature. Sort of how most nightmaren represent or kind-of represent a facet of someone's personality, and the absence of a certain Ideya. He would be the antithesis to the White Ideya of Purity. (Like Donbalon representing revelry.) This maren would dualize with the Dreamer/Visitor to tempt them into doing naughty things they normally shouldn't. So he's not just bad, he's bad FOR you. XD His true form is kind of a Bat/Scorpion/Mask thing.

He's also a dreamer-specific maren, so he can't dualize with just anyone. Only his dreamer.
