So it's more of a personal hatred for the system rather than the feeling of a bad idea?
Sony did have a lot of good games. GTA is just published as the "End All, Be All" action game. I liked some of the early Sony-Published games for PS2 better, personally. The reason why I still use the PS2 is Okage: Shadow King and Kingdom Hearts. Still... I'm getting tired of this console-bashing. The truth is, this Remake is coming out for PS2, and it seems nothing else. If someone has a hatred for Sony... tough cookies. Sorry. Not anything any of us can do. I mean, I don't like the Xbox and 360, but I honestly wouldn't be complaining if this was Xbox-Only. It's tough cookies. We're lucky that SEGA is getting us this as well as JoD.
Speaking of which, I highly doubt that it's getting to VC if it's on PS2. Nintendo gets its treatment of a half-remake, Sony gets its treatment of a graphical update.
That made me lol.
If some people's hatred for Sony is enough for them to not buy this game, then my hatred of Microsoft and the way that I want to tear out the heart of every 360 that I have ever laid eyes on would be enough to start a riot if they made a NiGHTS game for the Xbox.
I am not complaining that it is coming to the PS2, I just want to point out that Sega's personal history with Sony is well...not good, even after Sega started to put games onto the console. This game is going to be one of three things:
A) A remake of a great game that will convince me to overcome my prejudices and buy a non-Nintendo console for the first time ever. If it is, then no complaints here.
A shoddy, bug-ridden, halfhearted port a la Sonic Adventure DX for Gamecube. If this be the case, then I won't be the only one here crying.
C) A somewhat OK port and graphical enhancement, but not one that will get me to buy a PS2 and instead I will be experiencing NiGHTS in its true next-gen form: Journey of Dreams.
There are other options, of course, but those are the three that came to me as being the broadest. As an aside, I hope that Sega comes up with a few more good games that people actually like and sell. A few more years of what they have been doing, and Sega Sammy is going to slide into further difficulties. Then Sega will go onto the auction block. What if someone other than Nintendo got them...?
What if Sony got them?
