Bleh, decided to reply, anyway. So bad and undescriptive. XPPPPP I really need to exercise my writing skills more often.

Hime, would Wizeman have any human accomplices? I think it would be appropriate that some people would at least try to get on his good side to keep themselves alive.

@Meggiemaccat: Ha ha, yeah he'd probably have a few human accomplices but I believe he'd have to keep a very close eye (pardon the bad pun) on them. So he definitely wouldn't have many, maybe about 2-4.

Oy, I just realized something; I've screwed up the entire "Wizeman controls his marens' wills" thing. XPPPP *smacks self* I can't believe that I did that, but this is why I haven't even started my fanfiction yet. ..... That and I don't know which story to start with, but I'll find that out eventually.

EDIT: I just had a thought; what if reality's having a negative effect on the entire "Wizeman's will is theirs" system, and he's been steadily losing control of his minions over the years? The only reason Jackle can't read fortunes accurately is because (I've heard this somewhere, but not recently, so I could be remembering wrong) there's too much that could go different ways for him to get an accurate reading. He'd have to pick apart each possibility and do a reading for each of them, but there may be so many that the task's impossible for even a maren.

..... I actually want to cry because I got Jackle in trouble. ;-; I hope he'll be okay...

Bleh, the below was me editing the above post, and I decided to copy it and refresh the page to see if you'd replied before I could finish adding some meaningful substance to that post other than basically saying 'see previous'.

*forgot to mention she agrees with the entire 'no absolute control thing'* I believe he can order them to do something, and they'll try, but they'll perform the task in their own way. I believe the boss maren - every maren, actually - does have their own personality, but lack free will to give them direction, and that's what Wizeman does. I think, though, because of this bond, Wizeman has a psycic connection with all the maren he has under his control (in fact, if it's not a controlling device, I think Reala and NiGHTS's masks acted as a sort of 'walkie-talkie' - a way Wizeman can contact them the way he can contact his other maren, and this is why NiGHTS could discard his own in the first place). Because of this theoretical 'bond', I don't think any maren can do something without Wizeman knowing it, which I'm thinking you're implying in your post on the RP thread.

I'll mention that I've never thought of Jackle in this kind of situation and don't really know how to roleplay him thus, but I guess he won't be too rebellious (at first) because he's used to having another's will imposed upon him. Don't worry, I won't (or at least will try not to) make him join up with NiGHTS like some lost little puppy (though, if you allow it, I might have Helen try to smack him with that pole of hers for reasons that puts this thread firmly in Nightmare... ..... He's such a pervert... XDDDD ).

And no, I don't know the point of this post; I'm too tired to control what exactly it is I'm saying and doing right now. *kicks self off before she does something truly stupid*

I'm sorry to just sit here and whine, but I'm playing Jackle wrong. ;-; I don't really know how to roleplay him in this situation. I hope other people post soon so we can move along without leaving too many people behind (like we haven't already... XPPPP ) and get to where I can roleplay him as the mischievous little bastard we all know and love rather than this stupid emo thing... XPPPPP ((The unfortunate thing is, in my fanfic, he's probably going to get even more emo than this for a little bit... He'll actually be crying... *pins up a sign that reads 'the apocolypse is nigh!'* Gawd, I'm good at slashing characters to itty bitty, unrecognizable pieces. ;-; ))

History: A mysterious Maren that one day fell from the sky...... He is never quite sure of himself, and can be loud. He has few friends, and now decided to wander the worlds after The Nightmare Takeover. He seeks to correct the wrongs of Nightmare, and restore it to its former glory, for that reason, and that reason alone, he will help any Dreamer or Pian that needs helping. He loathes Wizeman, and though he does not hate Reala, finds his trust in Wizeman annoying. He has mixed history with NiGHTS.
He likes: To be alone with his thoughts, to draw, to read, and, most importantly, to write.
He dislikes: Jackle, Wizeman, and Pians, but mostly Wizeman.
