Just a topic to kick-start this dreaming forum again.

Tell me about the best dream you ever remember having.

Why was it special to you?
How long did it last roughly?
Were you lucid?
Did parts of it confuse you?
If you could see it again would you want to and why?

Let's hear some good ones.

Oh that's an easy one, it was when I first met NiGHTS!

My dream that was quickly becoming a nightmare, I was stuck in a museum type hallway and my chicks/kittens (they changed) were stuck in an elevator, but i couldn't get past the press of bodies to rescue them!
Then the elevator door opened and NiGHTS came gliding out, perfectly 3D and smiling.

I was so surprised that I abruptly realized that it was a dream. Then I resisted the urge to latch onto NiGHTS, since I decided that that would have been rude after (s)he'd just helped me XD

It was all pretty quick I guess, it's hard to estimate.
But that was what really sparked my fandom, it gave me the whole sense of 'Omigosh, NiGHTS is REAL!!"

I would dearly love to have that dream again, it was the only time that I've ever seen anything so clearly, and NiGHTS at that!

Nothing to do with NiGHTS.

It was about a town, a tiny little town, and there was a little playground, reminding me of my childhood one in the center. There's a giant city circling this little town, and There was this HUGE rollercoaster around the whole city.
Well this young man runs away to the town and becomes friends with all the villiagers who hang out at the playground. There's this girl who looks just like him, she is very very kind to him, and they become best friends. She starts telling him about how badly she wants to ride on the rollercoaster, but it costs way too much. The young man leaves that night without a word. Everyone worries, but figures travlers will leave. Then he returns a few days later with a sack of gold and takes the girl and all the rest to the rollercoaster. At the end, it turns out he was a run away prince, and he was brutally taken back home....I woke up before there was a happy ending.

I kinda elaborated on parts that were blurred to how I seem how they'd happen.

Why was it special to you? It made me think that you can accomplish your dreams with a little kindness and good will

If you could see it again would you want to and why? I would actually like to create some sort of story with this dream, so, seeing it again would help me fill in some loose ends and possibly an ending...

Hum, this is a toughy. Mostly because my dreams are so wacked up and they make no freakin sence, or there nightmares. I never really thought for a while which one was my favorite. Mostly because I just thought of them as weird crazy messed up messes of messyness. Though, there is one that I quite enjoyed. It was special to me because it wasn't all messed up, it was weird but not flying goldfish with walking axe's and darth VAder hideing in the basement with girly hair with the cast of Star Treck helping Harry Potter to defeat a heard of Dragons weird. It was more or less, nice, and peace ful.

What happened was I was walking in the snow, barefoot, but it wasn't cold. I couldn't really see anything in the snow, it was really strong and the sky was all cloudy. But I wans't worried at all. I seemed to be enjoying myself. I saw a castle in the distance, it looked a little scary in the snow, but the door was open, so I walked in. Inside looked totatly different from the outside. It looked beautifle on the inside, long staircases that didn't seem to go anywhere, and long hallways that where dark except for a faint blue light that came though the Hudge stain glass windows in there. I couldn't remeber what was on them but I saw a girl in the stain glass hallway, a girl I often draw named "Damion". She was basically the personification of my life in Jr. High school, she was a grumpy annoyed girl who hated everything. Though, she didn't look anything like me, if you've ever seen me draw her. Purple eyes and two coloured hair, blue and brown. It's short and she wears a pair of googles, and sort of a military outfit. She looked calm here, a little sad though. She didn't talk to me, she just looked at the widows, leaning on the window sil. I didn't really want to bug her and so I kept walking. I somehow ended up on a tall walkway that was above what looked like a large ball room. Down below I saw another character, another personification, down below. She was me at Six, well, sort of. He hair was long and bright yellow and her eyes were yellow. She had a little pink scarf and she was flowing on the floor like it was ice. Though I'm sure she didn't have any skates on. It was strange, but cute. I woke up then.

I don't exactally remeber how long it went for, an hour at most, I never keep track of how long they are, usually I never remeber. I wans't Lucid, I couldn't affect my dream, I seemed to be going on impuls. It didn't really confuse me, infact it made a lot more sence than alot of my other dreams. AT least to me. I would love to go to that castle again, I think I might have been back there once. But I don't remeber it as well as the first time.

Dammit, it was in my journal on the old forum (or this topic on the old one, I forget). I don't really remember it much now. All that really sticks out was being in a garden center and having an argument with Gandalf, I liked it because it was random I guess.

Still, I think it's been bettered since.

It was special to me because my dreamscapes are rately really abstract. People say and do strange things, but they're very rarely strange. This one was different however, it was in back and white, with certain objects saturated blue (like Sin City I guess, but that's a horrible comparison.) I was walking around with an umbrella when I heared the faint sound of an old friend of mine singing. Not being lucid at the time I decided to follow the sound until I founda steady stream of sky blue smoke, around then I became lucid and decided to go all Mary Poppins style, letting the smoke carry me up with my umbrella. As I flew uup in the ar, the dreamscape became fragmented, twistin and spiraling off into all sorts of directions and I had a wonderful areal view. A soft breeze blew and with it each path of the dream world swayed in the wind. It was like the entire ting was a living creature, hard to describe, but ever so beautiful. I floated around to ten or so minutes taking in the sights, when I found where the sound was comming from. Looking down I saw my friend Lisa, laying in a bath tub looking distressed and singing her sad, sad song. Shey sang and the dreamscape seemed to dance. The wing, her melody and and swaying were all in unison.Around there I woke up, but it was breathtaking. Really it was.

I have so many good dreams. I can't decide beteween them... I like even my nightmares! XD Dreaming is a wonderful thing.

But my fave, I think, was a short one.
I was in my house, in the second floor, and I was LUCiD ("My" maren - I usually call her Lucid x_x). I look to the sides and I see Jackle, NiGHTS and Reala. Suddently Jackle and Reala start making fun of NiGHTS, and man, I laugh. A lot! And start poking fun of him/her too. I laughed a lot in that dream, and I was really happy. Then NiGHTS start making fun of Jackle. And they start arguing. And me and Reala are laughing (and choking) so much that we had to leave the place.
I woke up laughing.

Why was it special to you?
It was a REALLY happy dream. And I LIKE happy dreams. I usually have some strange nightmares, but this was so light-hearted and fun. Me, Jackle, NiGHTS and Reala were friends. Great dream.

How long did it last roughly?
I don't remember, it was really short.

Were you lucid?
Lotsa.

Did parts of it confuse you?
The reason why Reala and Jackle started making fun of NiGHTS. BUT, who cares, it was fun *Runs*

If you could see it again would you want to and why?
Yep. I need to laugh. Usually I don't laugh much, so I need something to make me happy.

I had other one that I liked REALLY MUCH. Can I post it here too?

hmm.. maybe not my favorite dream, but certainly my most remembered:
I don't know what the rest of the dream was about, but this part shook me. I was in a perfectly white room, there was a woman infront of me and I belive there was a guy behind her. the woman sat me down in a chair and forcibly put me into a lucid state with the words "listen up, I can only say this once and it's really important, I'm about to tell you your purpose in life" and she did... but I don't remember what it was. You know why? cause while she was telling me the secret of the universe I was trying to be smart and find a pen and paper to write it all down... then coming to the realization that this was a dream (and my only lucid experiance) I knew that even if I found the objects of my search, anything I wrote down wouldn't be there when I awoke. At this point I turn back to the woman who is just finishing and I ask her, to her horror, to please repeat everything she just said so I can pay attention this time. She never got the chance, for at that moment I woke up. :D
So yah, needless to say I've been waiting for this dream to return for a while with no luck. Maybe if I can successfully learn to go lucid I can summon her again.

I'm still curious as to who the guy in the back was. I get the impression that he was the guardian of this woman but I couldn't say why.

Ehhh, I have no "Favorite Dream" but there was one dream (Or a series) that kept on ending the same, me falling though something. I could remember one that had me falling though a Elevator and falling into a ocean, I woke up and grabbed my water bottle with confusion.

I’ve had several dreams involving some sort of massive white tower. Sometimes its in a desert, sometimes it stands tall in some sort of city, yet its always the same tower.

Now, last night I dreamt that I finally climbed up this tower with my dad; however it wasn’t exactly my dad. It was sort of like a dream counterpart.
Anyway, as we walked up all these different levels, I noticed that, oddly enough, I wasn’t afraid of the height (absolutely TERRIFIED of heights).
In the end, we finally reached the top of it, where we stood above these weird cloud things. It’s hard to describe what was there, but it was something so amazing, so beautiful that stirred up all these different emotions in me. A feeling of peace came over me, and I just sat there with my dad, contemplating everything.

Crappy summary, but its hard for me to describe all these emotions I felt, or the scenery.
I’m not even quite sure if I was lucid, but I do recall having some control over many things, and it felt as if it lasted an hour. I don’t know.

But I suppose I view it as something special also because I spent the entire time in my dream with my dad, which is something I rarely get to do since he’s always traveling.

I might have something better, but I can't think of anything else at the moment.

I have many favorite dreams, but one of my main faves was this one:

After falling asleep, me and some other people wake up on a jungle, and we're all like, 'WTH? Where are we and how did we get here!?' (I wasn't much of a lucid dreamer then, but I could always tell that something wasn't right when i dreamed) But since it was dark, we decided to make a fire and wait until morining before exploring. All during the night, we see glowing eyes and hear creepy sounds. In the morning, we wander out of the jungle into a city that reminded me of Sao Paulo in Brasil. After exploring for a while, we wait at a bus stop. Here I meet a guy that I can only remember three things about: He had VERY dark black long hair, he was really nice, and I thought he was cute. XD Anyways, we chatted for a while, he let me play this cool bomberman/sonic hybrid game on his cellphone, and he shared some Poptarts with me. But then the bus came, and me and the rest of the people I had come with got on. We rode until the bus stopped at some booth carnival. I remember rainclouds were forming when we got off. While looking around, I found a cellphone on the ground, so I turned it into the lost and found booth. Except for some reason the lady running it wouldn't take it at first, and I figured out the lady was trying to tell me to just keep it and use up whosever phone it was's minutes and money. I got really offended at this, put the cellphone on the counter and left. We all decided to go to a museum one of the others had heard that was nearby, and walked there. For some reason though, we couldn't find any doors. So another member of our group pulled out a gun and shot a person sized window so we could get in. We all got really mad him, but no one came to arrest us or anything, so we all went in. Once in, we started looking around, but soon people around us were yelling and running. Apparently a jaguar had escaped from the zoo nearby and was in the building! Naturally, me and the group start to get out of there. Except..I tripped and fell on a ramp made of bamboo. Everyone starts yelling for me to get up, the jaguar was coming, but when it came towards us, they all ran and left me there. I closed my eyes and waited for it to eat me, but when I open them again who do I find standing there but the boy I met earlier! I'm all freaked out and he says sorry for scaring me now and in the forest, but he has something to tell me. Just when he was about to say what it was though, my mom woke me up.
I was mad at her for about three days because of this. I have since dubbed Jaguarboy Lino AND met his little sister Mo, who can turn into a bear. XD
It was special because it was one of the longest and most vivid dreams I ever had, until I met Sierra. I'd love to have it again so I can hear what Lino had to say and this time get a better mental image of him so I can draw it.

I'm going to keep this as short as I can and possibly expand on this later because I want to get enough sleep for school tomorrow, but I was just so excited about the forums and didn't even get in 10 posts lol.
Why was it special to you?
This dream was special to me because it was the very first time I met a Maren who is now my friend (thankfully) His name is DYSiNRiEL (MiDNiGHTS) Yes I know his nickname is lame but hey, I'm not the one who gave it to him lol.
How long did it last roughly?
I'm not quite sure, I would say roughly 1-2 hours, I had woken up from previous sleep beforehand then went back to sleep for those hours and boom, the most wonderful setting with the most wonderful person ever. (Besides my boyfriend >_>; )
Were you lucid?
Indeed I was. It was the very first time I really put my heart and soul to purposely lucid dream. Before I never really wanted to self induce it, I always wanted it to come to me naturally, but for some reason I had a dying urge to try it that night, and with amazement it worked, and very well at that. I think it was the most lucid dream I have had for years to come. Ever since I have tired intentionally to lucid dream, and I fail most of the time, I probably will tonight as well. T_T;
Did parts of it confuse you?
If you could see it again would you want to and why?
I would love to see it again, and actually I still try to induce the same moonlit setting I was in before. But I would never want to replicate the whole dream because I know it was real, and it happening again would seem fake. Also the fact that its impossible to meet the same person twice when...obviously you already met them and are fully introduced lol. It was a special moment for the reasons that I met one of my heroes and nothing can change that. But as far as the place I was in goes, I try to visit it on many occasions and I have only been able to go back once which was like a few weeks ago.
It was starry with a midnight sky and a giant moon illuminating the sky and river it reflected upon, on one side of the river (the farthest from where I usually enter the dream scape) there is dense forest close to the shores of the river, on my side I am actually quite far from the river where there is plenty of open meadow for frolicking XD but behind me is more dense forest. There is a light, cool breeze hitting against the trees making it a refreshing, tranquil place of peace and a perfect place for pondering thoughts. In the meadow there is a single tree that I use as a meeting spot for MiD. Another element to this fantasy is the silhouette of a dragon that occasionally flies past the giant moon sometimes really quick or in slow motion. Now your probably thinking "I thought you have only been there twice, how can you say "occasionally and sometimes" Well thats because I have known about this place even before my lucid dream. It does not exist somewhere but only in my imagination with many other places but this one is actually used in a "music video" of mine. Its when I just take a song I like and listen to it as I imagine my own music video to go with it, it makes my long walks more interesting and encourage me to go on them. So this place was my desired setting among the many others and it just kind of sunk in. A good example of it is actually in the opening of Super Smash Bros. Melee when they show Sheik and all of her badass-ness, the only thing it lacks is the forest in the background and the meadow, but thats all I have to say about that, I really should be getting to bed now. Thanks for listening

My dreams (nightmares) usually consist of tornadoes and other chaotic things but every once in a while I get a cool one. Like once I dreamt I had founded a supercar company and created an amazing car with all sorts of neat tech in it. I even woke up from that dream and sketched it. I think I still have the sketch somewhere. But as for NiGHTS in my dreams, sadly not.

Hmmmmmmm....The best dreams I have end with a happy ending. Someone I loved ends up still being alive, and I've just saved/destroyed the world. :3 I never really remember much specifically, but if I wake up with night-time tears of joy you know you had a pleasant one. The REALLY good ones only happen on weekends when I sleep in. Sadly, I've never had a Lucid Dream. D: Confusing? Aren't they all? XD And I'd do it again just to HAVE a dream that I could remember more clearly.

My favorite dream - was my very first complete lucid dream.

I remember I was walking down the street and saw a really cute girl. I've never seen this girl in my life, but I walked up to her and kissed her; she loved it. I thought to myself thats odd, normally people would be freaked if a random stranger kissed you. I looked down at my hands and I realized I was dreaming, I thought wow this is great. I walked around punching holes through walls to prove to myself I had the ability to will it. At first it was a bit slow. It seemed like there was a 3 second thinking time before I would actually perform what it is I wanted to do. After a while It came more natural and that's when it hit me. I remembered how much I wanted to fly, playing NiGHTS and watching videos of birds and their freedom compelled me. I soared through the sky as if it was the opening scene of NiGHTS, I was absolutely happy for a while. Happiness it was a feeling I rarely felt at that time of my life. Soon after I grew more and more unhappy as I remembered all the things that I hated in the world. Instantly I was sitting up against what seemed to be a dead tree on a hilltop; the skies were cloudly (The way I like them) . I swore I would destroy all that gave me pain and grew to a size much bigger than the earth itself. I held the earth in my palm in one hand and took a second to look, and with no hesitation I crushed it into dust. That's I woke up. The ending was violent but I enjoyed it. There were alot of a good and bad times looking back 11 years.

...Oh, good gosh, which one to choose? Guess I'll choose the one that I remember the most, then...

The Dream

I had this dream in Febuary after coming across the site and bookmarking it (when its menu was still in the section-by-color-name version). I remember being on some huge ship with a few other people and, most distinctively, my 7th grade math/science teacher. Having sighted her, I had basically thought "Mrs. C*name withheld*? What're you doing here?" but I soon dismissed it. I remember something about jeans, probably because I was thinking about genes, I don't remember, but I soon left for a room in the back.

I'm about to sit down when there's a shout from outside, causing all of us to race outside and see...what I think was the Flying Dutchman. I'm serious, I'm pretty sure I saw a flying ship that looked like the Flying Dutchman, my mind must've had taken a Pirates of the Carribean turn. Someone shouted something about the Kraken and instantly I thought 'the ship's doomed' and then the next thing I know, the ship's turned into some sort of flying ship that reminds me of a cross between that one ship of Cid's from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and those fighter planes in the Babylon Garden level of Sonic Riders. Or a Falcon Peak gummi ship from Kingdom Hearts II.

However, it seems that the target is me, so I basically...well, jump off the ship and suddenly start flying. High. And at speeds probably faster than Sonic, because I find myself high up in like...half a second. XD While I'm up there I just see this absolutely gorgeous scene with the clouds and the water down below me, and I'm basically up in the air with my jaw dropped. And then I remember 'wait - I've still got villains on my tail' and so I dive down with my eyes closed. I hit the water, go a bit underwater before remembering the Kraken (and I think I heard it, too) before flying upwards. Next thing I know, our flying ship and I have arrived at some sort of half-water, half-land air base and I'm on some sort of construction thing. Somebody comes up to me in a weird yellow and black bike, tells me to hop on, which I do, and then we start riding off to get away from the Kraken.

And then I wake up due to the darn alarm clock.

The darn thing lasted all night. And once I'm awake and I've turned off the sound of the blaring thing (or was it the sound of a waterfall?), I'm all "Whoa..." I just loved it, especially when I was up in the air above the clouds. Memory that'll stick with me for life, I'm sure.

Why It Was Special

The reason why I chose this dream (when I could've chosen one of two special other ones that I remember from when I was, like...7 and 9-ish) is because until I had that dream, I either had 1) Nightmares or 2) no dreams at all. For the past few months before that, it was the second part. Then I stumbled across TRiPPY's site about NiGHTS into Dreams and started looking at the information. It got me hooked on NiGHTS and it got me dreaming again. This is why I chose to put it.

Lucidity

Well, considering that one of the minor details included me grabbing and putting on a pair of jeans after entering one of the rooms, the fact that the water felt wet, and the wind sheer, yeah, I'm pretty sure I was lucid. One of the few lucid dreams that I ever remember having.

Confusion

The only confusion that I got was from the sudden appearance of the Kraken, the Flying Dutchman, and the sudden change in my ship from water to air. Other than that, I just had fun. Lotsa fun flying around, I think I also did a few loops in the meanwhile (and I normally get sick to my stomachs on roller coasters that do loop-the-loops in real life). Wonderful story-dream thing.

A Second Seeing

Dang, I'd love to have this dream again. Maybe a little bit differently, so that way I could actually attack the Kraken instead of just flying and dodging stuff. The main reason why I'd love to have it again is because it made me feel like I had done something right by finding TRiPPY's site and bookmarking it for future reference. I've been having a lot of flying dreams lately, but that was the first one I had after a long gap of complete unconsciousness while I slept.

Awesome dreams all! I hope to find a peaceful dreamscape of my own someday..

Hmm, favorite dream? Well, there is of course my NiGHTS dream... but as of late, my favorites are the brief ones where I see my boyfriend again. <3 We live in different countries and only see each other about every 6 months, but when I dream of his sudden return, the distance isn't that big anymore. I'd love to see him a bit more often!

Yesh, I'm a fluffy sap. DEAL. X3

My most favourite? The very first time I met NiGHTS course!I thought It was a Nightmare at first,I was in this dark place and getting boiled alive by some dark...things. Boy,if I wanted a sauna,I could do it in private and certaintly not eaten like a free KFC meal as well! Then there was this bright flash of light. There was a blinding figure paralooping around the things which screeched and dissapeared...I was lifted out of the pot and staring into a pair of comforting violet eyes. He/she whispered something comforting and then sent me off to this train station....There was this bazaar thing going on at a green valley near the station,so we went there first as the train had not arrived yet.I could see all sorts of stuff...And there was one thing at one of the stalls that made me stop and squeak in joy.A UV NiGHTS suit!!!! Mind,NiGHTS went all quiet when he saw me trying to get it on.Hey,I had seriously no idea it was him until I awoke! Had I known,I would probably have kissed his feet a million times for saving me! And have had the courtesy to not look even at the suit! But anyways,it was too big .....So I left it at the stall
and wandered happily off with NiGHTS. It was quite fun, sometimes he would give me a ride and we would go wheeeeeing all over these green bui
dings, some meadows, and a lake.To this day,I wonder where the guy gets his strength from or the sheer patience to deal with incredibly immature dreamer like me.....Maybe it's because my dream form wasn't that big....Ah well, the train came and I boarded it.Waving goodbye to my rescuer , I wondered why he looked so fammiliar...Then it dawned on me.The purple maren himself! Then I woke up......I wish to have that dream again so I can thank him sincerely.TT__TT.

Sadly, I can't recall any dreams I've had. Nightmares I've had plenty and few between...

The closest thing I can remember to any dreams really wasn't a said dream, per say.. but it was boreder line day dream, as I was listening to music as I was going to sleep and I was tired, but I knew I wasn't asleep, y'know?

A lot of my friends play instruments. Myself included. With it, for some reason in that day dream session we had formed a band and played, gradually - as if in Guitar Hero 2, we'd progress up and get famous. The final bits I remember very clearly.

Up until then, I was never singing except chorus. I'm told I have a great singing voice, but I'm too stage freight and scared about it, so.. we were told we needed something, new, fresh. Well, the only genre we never truly covered was Metal; not because we couldn't, but because we liked other songs better. However, we all knew a song that we would practice due to the variety of everything: Mostly as a boredom song, never done in public type of thing. The major reason: I was the vocalist and pianist.

The song was a cover we did of Nymphetamine by Cradle of Filth. Now, yes, the song is a required duet...but not for me. I can sing both the female's voice, and all fluctuations of Dani's voice (Just not near as high, but pretty close).

So, for the show, I had designed a special attire for it. The outfit blended in the middle, the left side a gorgeous Victorian inspired dress, and the right a very dark, Gothic attire inspired from one of Dani's appearances in his previous music videos. The skirt was designed to not be a full skirt, but it was only attached to the front, side, and back of the left. So when I stood from the left, you'd only see the white dress, unless of course I would shift or turn, you'd see the hints of the Gothic, but we kept the setting dark on purpose so you couldn't tell for sure.

So, I would play the piano in the entire song, but all my vocals except the softer lines of Dani's in the middle were without the piano, so I could walk around the stage while i sang. It was amusing, as many people who had not heard the song didn't see that after the first verse of myself singing regularly, I would spin around to reveal the right side of my outfit, pulling back the skirt enough to allow myself better movement.

It was fun to think about, that much is certain. I intend to make that outfit one day. XD

My number one favourite dream is also my most frustrating and annoying as i always have to go through a sequence of surreal stuff to get to the good bit.

It is a reoccurring dream i have probably 2 or 3 times a year for the last 10 years give or take. It takes place at my High School. I am walking up the stairs of a two story building on my way to class, all the other kids are running up the stairs much faster than me and no matter how fast i go i cannot keep up and i'm left in the stair well all alone. When i reach the top i see a smaller set of stairs. Up those is a ladder into the ceiling. In the ceiling i crawl along a dark wooden corridor and find a very small door.

Now this is where it get's wierd. In this door is a secret school room, with a single bed, drawers, and a big mirror. There is also a bookshelf where diaries left here by students before me who have found this place (that somehow stays clean even though i am the only one to visit it in years) that i read. The people to find this room have always been loners, not many friends, felt isolated. Yet this room which is isolation itself brings a very calm and tranquil feeling with it. It is also here in this room that i realize i am dreaming. I also get the feeling from this room that it was a place teachers sent kids they didn't want to teach anymore, and were forgotten about. Yet i always remain calm and at peace.

The tiny door i entered the room by is too high to reach to get out. I stand in front of the mirror and my reflection fades away and i can see the balcony of my primary school, not high school, and now it is night time and there is a huge white full moon. I hear the sounds of the other kids going about but can't see them although it's not alarming in any way. Realizing that i am not part of that life anymore, at least not until i wake up, i walk to edge of the balcony, climb up, look at the moon, take a deep breath, exhale, and take off, as if i were NiGHTS, flying around the school, which now is a merger of both schools, still alone but free. I take off into the deep blues and violets of the night sky, dipping through clouds, and start pulling off NiGHTS moves, This seems to go on for ages, and i either land back at School and wake up or simply wake up while flying around.

Why was it special to you?

Because apart from a dream where i drive my car across a rickety old bridge and it collapsing and finding myself going down a flooding river with 44 Gallon drums on either side and never getting out, this is my only other reoccuring dream. That and i get certain queues that i am dreaming, and can control my flight. And of course because it reminds me of the NiGHTS flying so much. You know how you can kind of feel NiGHTS weightlessness somehow while playing the game? That's the feeling i get.

How long did it last roughly?

I'd say it takes at least an hour to go through the whole sequence of events. I don't really know as it has always happened just before i wake up in the morning.

Were you lucid?

For the first part of it it seems like major De Ja Vu, but it's not until i enter the secret room that i realize i am dreaming, but i know not to disturb the order of events because i will wake up.

Did parts of it confuse you?

It did at first but now it all seems natural. So real that when i am waking from it i know the flying wasn't real but the secret room at school was.

If you could see it again would you want to and why?

It's been a while since i have had this dream and would love to dream it again. The feeling of flight is awesome and while i have had other flying dreams, most have either been like floating or superman type flight, NiGHTS flight is definately more interesting and diverse, and more real. And thanks to this new NiGHTS game and my excitement for it, i have had a few dreams lately where NiGHTS just pops in to say hi, which is always good, as i used to use NiGHTS if he ever showed up as a way to Lucid dream, just to let me know this can't be real, but never in a startling way that makes me wake up. I wish it happened more often.

All I can remember from the dream was something about popcorn and that me and my friends/family were sitting in an airport. I was standing behind the rows of seats my companions were in, and then there was this girl... she was tanned, maybe 5'7" and wearing a green not-quite-loose dress with black sandals. I was aware of her standing behind me, until I was standing behind her. I put my arms in under hers and held her wrists, then lay my chin down on her shoulder. We stood there for a few moments, then started swaying and stepping around in a slow dance.
Although I'm not sure the dream me actually saw her face in the dream, my point of view was from the third person and so I could see her clearly.

Why was it special to you?

It was one of the most content feelings I have ever experienced, stepping around in that slow dance... and that girl. I can envision her down to the smallest detail, yet I have never met anyone like her.

How long did it last roughly?

The whole dream was much longer, but the segment I can remember lasted five to ten minutes.

Were you lucid?

No, I was just along for the ride and was happy with that.

Did parts of it confuse you?

No, I was completely at ease.

If you could see it again would you want to and why?

I've been waiting three years to see her again, generally I go to sleep at least once a week hoping tonight will be the night. I feel I know her somehow and I want to know more.

I'm training to be a pro wrestler and am a huge fan. I like my music too, guitar bands of all shapes and sizes. As long as it's a good tune you can sing to I'm happy.
I can't remember my favourite dream in a lot of detail any more and it's especially embarrassing to admit being 22 years of age and all... my favourite dream involves being Sonic The Hedgehog. I think it was around the second Sonic cartoon so there hadn’t been a game for a while but I was still a rather obsessed fan at age 11-12 and I’d taped a lot of the cartoon to watch on a lazy Sunday evening.

I was defiantly Sonic and remember some lucidity, being able to run around the area that I lived at top speed. I remember running to my primary school and saving Tails from some Badnicks. Robotnik turned up (His Mega Drive persona) and the next thing I remember is being away from home in a ‘Zone’ I guess. Totally in 3D though and hiding with Tails from Robotnik in a giant pipe.

Other than that I can’t remember a lot but still get a great feeling thinking back to it. I had a similar dream once or twice since but not that long nor as detailed. It seemed a fairly long dream, we’re talking an hour or so.

My favorite dream is also the most mysterious one in my case...

In the begining of this dream, I wasn't in it at all... and I figured out why. I'm watching a Cowboy Bebop movie (not Knockin' On Heaven's Door) that highlighted the lives of the Bebop members after the final episode. Faye and Jet were still working together catching bounties while Edward and Ein were still wandering on Earth. Spike, however, had become a ghost, wandering around and talking to other ghosts about life, regrets, things left behind, and what not. Anyway, Spike eventually comes across Jet and Faye, who were talking about how things used to be when he was alive and how much they actually missed him (no tears and emotions ran rampant though). After listening in on their conversation a few more minutes, Spike leaves and eventually come across Edward and Ein who have stopped to rest in a town. Smirking, Spike then mutters something to himself before crossing over into the afterlife. But he failed to notice that Edward had turned around and said his name, making me theorize that she felt his presence. After a while, the credits begin to roll and I unfortunately blank out, only to realize that I had missed the ending card (something that appears at the end of every Bebop episode). So I quickly picked up the remote control and backed the DVD up a few scenes so I could see what it was. However, just as the ending card was about to come on, I woke up... thus never finding out what it said.

Why was it special?
I don't really know why, but the dream actually started making me wonder about dream interpretation... especially the end where I somehow missed the final card twice.

How long did it last?
I'm not even sure.

Were you lucid?
Nope, I didn't even realize that I wasn't in my living room, much less asleep.

Did parts of it confuse you?
Yes, I didn't understand why it was that I blanked out and the dream suddenly turned to third person (but I guess that should have given it away).

If you could see it again, would you want to and why?
I would definately want to see it again, mainly because I want to try and understand the dream further. Somehow, I feel as if I was supposed to pick something up from it.

My favorite dream? Laying out in an eternal praerie of soft, thick, lush grass, a clear blue sky with clouds forming shapes, and small flowers (daisies, tulips) everywhere, in serenity. Lasted all night, I'm trying to return there.

It was special, I love being off in light forests or plains in my dreams, full of quiet and peace, it makes me happy. So warm there, I could feel an invisible sun shining on me, so it wouldn't glare in my eyes but keeping me warm, and I wasn't lucid, but I still am trying to be in dreams (not being lucid, but wanting to return there)

Dream: I was walking with Ross in the fields behind his house (he lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere pretty much) and we were talking. We must have been around 11 or 12, is my guess, and it was a cloudy day and real windy. We were talking about monsters (like Godzilla) and Star Trek and all that cause we're cool and then the wind picks up. I'm almost blown over but manage to stay up and Ross is having some trouble too (but he's always been strong and such) and we look behind us and BAM- there's Lillian. At this time we thought Lillian (Ross' older sister) to be this invincible being that could like, survive a nuke.

We were weird. Still are. Anyway.

So Lilly was like OMGRAGINGMAD and it was like she was the reason the clouds were all thundery and stormy. We look at each other, screamed, and ran. Lilly started chasing us (a common event back in rl) and we came to a some random woods. Even though at that age, and still even now, we were good at moving through thicks woods, we got even better. And it was weird. Now I can say it was ninja like but at the time it was before ninjas were so big. So we were dashing and jumping and Lilly's on our tail and suddenly I trip- of course- and just before Lillian gets me Ross pulls her hair (a common defense maneuver we used back in the day) and we Double Teamed her.

Eventually we lost and I woke up all weired out, but now I can look back at it and enjoy it.

Why was it special to you?:
It was something that we really did, yet had twists that gave it a surreal feel. I got to hang out with Ross, and we had an adventure and fought for all that was right and good by fighting the evil Lillian. I don't get dreams that make that much sense (or have a real plot you could say) anymore. Now mine are just weird XD - fun though.

How long did it last roughly?:
I couldn't tell you. How long in real time it lasted. Dream time, if there IS such a thing, it probably lasted about 15 minutes. Cause Ross and I didn't run very long, and the fight was fairly short. Maybe 20 minutes.

Were you lucid?:
No. Most assuredly not. I had this dream when I was around 11 or 12; before I cared much for dreams. My interest in dreams, and art, has come in the last 2-3 years.

Did parts of it confuse you?:
Not really. The dream was pretty straight forward and probably the result of not only what frequently happened when awake but also the combined exaggerations of Ross' and my own imaginations. Yay for wild imaginations <3

If you could see it again would you want to and why?:
I'm not sure XD Considering that Lilly and I are 'sisters' (at some point I was unofficially adopted into the family XD) it wouldn't fit anymore. Would certainly be funny to tell though- and maybe try for some lucidity.

Just a topic to kick-start this dreaming forum again.

Tell me about the best dream you ever remember having.

Why was it special to you?

Let's hear some good ones.

I remember this one dream (that I oddly did not post in my diary) where I was at this school and me and my classmates were outside (we had plaid uniforms I think). It was a GORGEOUS day. Everything was just so bright and vivid. The shade of green the grass was, the clear blue skies, the warm air, everything was just so beautiful. But the best thing that I will ALWAYS remember was the huge skyscraper like flowers high in the sky reaching up towards the sun. They looked like a cross between roses and tulips and they gently swayed in the breeze. But then the sky turned into a warm gray shade and it began to rain and the flowers began to wilt. And they fell slowly to the ground like a feather would so everyone moved out the way to let them hit the ground gently without the slightest sound or shaking of the earth. We watched the flowers until the sun came out and they all lifted back up towards the sky. It was just... wonderful.

This dream was special because it was one of the very few, or the only, extremely vivid dreams I've ever had. I wasn't lucid, but I interacted with everyone and everything around me. The dream lasted about a good couple-few hours since i had it when I was taking a nap. I really want to have that dream again just to see the beauty that surrounded me there once more, maybe talk to the students around me and remember what they say when I wake up and maybe get the chance to touch the flowers too.

My best dream was just of me running, extremely fast (usualy I am in slow motion in dreams). For how long it lasted, it seemed like I had been running for as long as I could remember, as if I had always been running and there was nothing else to existance o_o. I wasnt tired out or anything, just felt perfect. For one part I remember running through a forest village and kept running past beautiful girls, too bad I didnt stop to take a break there;P But the idea of stopping running wasnt even something to be considered. At another part I was running over mountains but I must have been huge because I was onto a new mountain every few seconds or so.
I wasnt lucid and didnt know I was dreaming, and nothing seemed to be confusing about it.
I never had that dream or a simular one again, but I would definately want to.

This is easy for me to answer. I was in Essex, Montana in the middle of winter and I decided to go hiking in the woods on the mountains. Eventually I got to a cliff. Shortly after, I back up, get a running start, and jump off. After free falling for a few seconds I started to fly around the area just for the sake of enjoying its pristine beauty.

Why was it special to you?
There are a couple of reasons why. First, I just love flying. It doesn't matter how just as long as I'm rendered airborne for a fairly significant amount of time. The second and more important reason is because the dream took place in Essex. Now, Essex is an extremely isolated area in Glacier National Park, and that park is simply one of my favorite places on the Earth because of its diverse landscape that's almost untouched by man. The area is so isolated and serene. I've never felt more at peace than in Essex. The area also reminds me of my beloved home of Alaska. Ever since I had to move out of the state, there hasn't been a day I don't think about going back, so anyplace that reminds me of Alaska makes me feel very nostalgic. Also, I love winter.

How long did it last roughly?
I don't know how long it actually took, but I perceived it as lasting around 30 minutes to an hour long.

Were you lucid?
Yes

Did parts of it confuse you?
No

If you could see it again would you want to and why?
Yes, I would because the whole dream was very relaxing and made me quite nostalgic when I woke up.
