omg... Gulpo is such a boring character. D: Nothing exciting happens in his life. So... that's what us fans are for. xD

Here are my ideas:

-SERIOUS-
Maybe the story of Gulpo can be about how he got the courage to go beyond his underwater home. Maybe he ponders his purpose, and wishes to see Wizeman about it. But he's scared, for this would require him going onto dry land, a place he always wondered... but never had the courage to go to. When he does, finally, Wizeman expects him (How'd he know!?) and then Gulpo asks him then. "Why do I exist?" "Why did you create me this way?" "What is my purpose?" These questions were not exactly answered they way Gulpo wanted them to, thus leaving the poor aquatic maren confused and disastisfied.
Gulpo then goes home, but before he could dive back into the water, he meets GillWing for the first time, wondering where he came from, and why he never saw him before. And thus a friendship blossomed... then got more intimate as they morphed into lovers. (but save that for later. xD)

-GAG-
Gulpo is somehow marooned in the sandy regions of Stick Canyon. I dunno. It was a stupid idea.
Also... had the idea of Gulpo teaching GillWing how to swim, then the dragon nearly drowned. He actually pretends to drown so that he could get a free kiss from Gulpo when he attempts to do mouth-to-mouth with him.
Naughty GillWing. xD Course, Gulpo likes kisses, he makes GW work overtime for that.

Maybe a dreamer can save Gulpo from being stranded (after taking a painstakingly long time in deciding whether or not to save him in the first place)? Oooh oooh, a toddler dreamer who's scared to death of large bodies of water (anything beyond knee deep)?!! XDDD And to be cute, Gulpo teaches him not to be afraid, then Wizeman shows up and tries to spoil all the cuteness. ;-;

I've been trying to draw Gulpo in a different way... he keeps changing. And it also sucks because I am limited to no facial expressions of him! Dx
