Has anyone play these two games before?

I never heard them advertised around here and I just got finished with the second game.
I loved it but was upset that the game had a similar concept to a game that I wanted to make. >.<

Anyhow after playing the second one I just had to try the first one so got a hold of one and tried but I'm a bit stuck because it stopped working on my computer.

I also heard they are making more to finish up the story from the second game because of the various "Loop holes" in the game.

But yes has anyone at all hear about this game?

Oh yes, I have the first one! Dubbed to Swedish XD I like the game. No Sierra-Sudden-Death or "Obs! You're stuck because you didn't pick up this item back then~"-dead-end B) The actors were quite good, and the story was very interesting if a bit weird at times. The latter also goes for the characters - I mean, you meet someone living in the past, present and future at the same time.

There's one thing that's a bit annoying. At the beginning there's a thing you need that's easy to miss. It's easy enough to fix it if you didn't get it before doing something else, but you'll end up with an item that never gets used again. Also, if people have little patience for dialogue they better skip this, cause there's a lot of it. :P *likes that*

In the first one you can skip dialog (Press esc until you get out of the dialog) that is if anyone is willing to try the game.

Anyhow the second one is a continuation of the first one (It appears) with characters from the old one only the fact that its in a different genre of game play now and the main character is a different person.
Spoiler

Instead of point and click you can run around with a third person view and there is a fighting type of system which isn't all that great. :S
But part of the story is there. (With quite a few plot/ loop holes that I'm hoping they are going to clear up in the third game.)

Like I said earlier the first one isn't working correctly on the computer I'm using right now so I'm sorta "stuck". In other words I haven't finished the first game yet XD. (An error pops up when I get to a particular point... I assume this relates to the fact that the computer I'm using meets well beyond the requirements.)

Well part of the reason I brought this game up is in a sense it reminds me of NiGHTS. (Even if they aren't much a like at all.)
I can't quite put my finger on what would make me feel this way though. (I suppose it might be what part of the ending of the second one suggested.)

  • Interests:well, gamewise, my favourite video games are NiGHTS (obviously!), final fantasy, broken sword, dreamfall and tomb raider. i love going to parties and raving it up with my friends.
i bought dreamfall about 3 months ago and i was completely obsessed until i completed it. i knew the basic storyline from the longest journey but i hadn't completed it. i actually bought them the same time and decided to play TLJ first but then played the first few minutes of dreamfall and had to continue with it! i personally wasn't so keen on the parts with april, mainly beacuse i was more intruiged with what was going on in zoe's world-with waticorp etc. i think that's probably because it seemed more realistic for me and i loved the futuristic settings.

i just wish it had been a few hours longer! but it left me craving more so it obviously did it's job!

apparently the next game will have downloadable chapters rather than releasing it as a full game so people can play it sooner. and Ragnar Tørnquist says that the next game will "pick up exactly where Dreamfall ended or even before that, to present its ending from an alternative point of view." :)
