G'afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

The topic title speaks for itself. if you could place the characters of NiD into any game series, what would it be and why ? Who would replace who ? Why would it work ? What story elements would need tobe changed ?

This is something I'm always doing inside my head. And something I've put into practice too.

The bosses in NiGHTS, and NiGHTS himself, would make good bosses in Okage. NiGHTS would be cool to have in your party too... he'd probably be similar to Epros XD!

NiGHTS + Star Fox (minus any character that even comes close to resembling Slippy Toad) on Wii.

Using the behind-NiGHTS perspective from Sega Superstars (utilizing the Wii remote for pitch and roll instead of that horrible camera). Given how both games for the most part are on rails, it'd work out nicely. That'd be fun.

Both games Revolve around the World of dreams...
Ruff 'n Tumble would be good Candidet's for NiGHTS To Merge with, plus they have their own Dream Transformations to help NiGHTS in Combat.

The Winks, 'Pians, Hoodwinks and 'Maren, lets face it, are practicly the Same thing... Just 4 very different Cretures.

Plus, Nitekap and Threadbear needed some more Threatning Friends on their side, i always thought... Nitekap and Reala teaming up would be GENIUS.

I love Klonoa!! Yes, I agree and stuff. The music of the two games sounds like they can go to either or. Yup. And the worlds are fabulous!

Let's see, NiGHTS in any game....

You know, given the nature of dreams and nightmares, I think it'd be cool to see a Silent Hill type segment in a NiGHTS related game. Instead of trekking through a normal dream, the player has to work his way out of a nightmare in order to continue. Puzzle, monsters, hard core survival/horror... sounds like a lot of fun to me. >=) Throw in an Sanity meter al la Eternal Darkness and we have it made!

I would change nothing, but put the new NiGHTS game into the game engine and art style of Super Mario Galaxy (although in some cases NJOD isnt too far off!)

NiGHTS in the Dreamlands, Lovecraft's Dreamlands that is (You didn't specify Video games and there are Pen and Paper RPGs) NiGHTS and the kids discovering a rather different Dreamworld (I think I've been reading to much Sic Semper Morituri...)

For something really different how about NiGHTS and Okami?

claris and elliot have to save clocktown by using the persona masks and stopping the (misunderstood) reala being controlled by the evil wizeman mask.

that's actually pretty good if i do say so myself.

Given the presence of the Dolphin Persona Mask, it'd be nice to replay Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future with a NiGHTS skin.

Well, I say "replay", but I didn't actually complete it in the first place .



As for bad puns... what would you get if you crossed NiGHTS with more than one copy of a product that lets you run PlayStation games on a PC or Dreamcast?

I'd also like to see a Freddy versus NiGHTS duel someday, but bleh.

If the clever folk over at Scorehero manage to crack open Guitar Hero III on PC as I'm praying they will, then i'll be able to put my own characters in there along with backfrounds and other geometry changes. Depending on how much they can get into it (its very early days yet, and Neversoft seem to have covered themselves quite well) then Trav's idea could well happen.

I would put NiGHTS with the Panzer Dragoon series. Besides NiGHTS, Panzer Dragoon is one of my favorite series because of its beautiful artwork. No other game has the same atmosphere that the Panzer Dragoon has, or the unique atmospheres (perhaps NiGHTS though). Although Panzer Dragoon is more mature than the lighthearted NiGHTS, I think the happy medium that they could create would be awesome.
