D: I'd have thought I would have made one of these a lot sooner than this.

My love of PSU and NiGHTS finally crossed roads. Is it a Rappy as NiGHTS, or NiGHTS as a Rappy? You decide.
The PSU font says 'Rappy Nocturn', since Rappies have weird names like that ( such as Rappy Paska, Rappy Amure, Rappy Noel, ect ). I figured a NiGHTS Rappy would have some kinda night-timey sounding name. XD


Just a simple pic of classic NiGHTS. The arms and cuffs gave me problems. I just couldn't get them to look right at all. ;_;


To start, I hate Photoshop CS2, so pulling this off in it is something of an achievement. Secondly, TRiPPY's experiences whilst homeless just sorta kickstarted my inspiration and I knew I had to draw something for her and Digi. I worked my butt off on this, and, even though it has it's errors ( I know, Babel is muuuuuch bigger than that... XD ), I'm quite proud of it.

It represents the pair standing up against the overwhelming hardships they faced whilst on the streets. The black blobs at the bottom are faceless Maren, each one representing a problem or stress that had come toward them. UV is facing them, standing confidently and without fear, ready to take them on. I imagine he's wearing a smirk.

In the end, we know it will be a triumphant face-off. ^^

Anyway, I hope you two like this despite it's errors. I know you're changing UV's design for your new iMAGNi-verse, but I don't know what he looks like, so NiGHTS-style it is. XD



Doodled on a whim to pass the time, and what started the small group of scribbles ( I'm still full of artblock >.< Can't draw anything past scribbles right now. ). The stripes on the candy cane are black because I originally didn't plan on colouring it. I could have changed it, but liked the Ahh Real Monsters reference enough to leave it as is.


Um... I can't think of anything to say here. The doodle speaks for itself... XD
I expect Reala to be completely off-model since I A. just doodled it and B. wasn't using any form of reference, aheh... ^^;


Try to look past the HORRIBLE table and 'segasewnic 2000' on this. D: I just couldn't pass this joke up.

Whee, a desktop. This didn't come out exactly how I wanted it, but all things considered, I think it could have went a lot worse.

I doodled this in MS Paint one night. Just a simple image of NiGHTS posing in a typically NiGHTSy fashion.

Those feet get bigger every time I draw them, honestly.

Background is my 'signature dreamscape', or whatever you want to call it. I see places like that in my dreams a lot; random black structures with little red lights on them amidst a dark purple/blue/grey landscape. I'd go into more detail but I don't think this is the thread for that. XD

It's not perfect, I know... but eh, I've been fighting the dreaded art block for a couple months, now. Any small picture feels like a victory over the imposing overlords of anti-art motivation. XD

A 'darkstalkerized' pic of Reala I oekaki'd, after watching too many videos of Vampire Savior fights on Youtube. I briefly wondered what he'd look like as some kinda Jedah-like character. Though looking at it now, he looks more Dimitri-inspired.

The revelation of Reala's Morrigan pants makes this image sadly hilarious to me. XD

NiGHTS' new outfit looks good in orange and black (not to mention that your first NiGHTS pic is adorable! Very serene smile on his face). That Gulpo is badass. I like the colors and the scaly/highlight effect.

Oh WOW!! Ki, that's amazing!! That DarkStalkerized one is really cool. You captured the character style perfectly. Encore.
Remind me to commission you at some point to do a Valentine one because that Reala one is all levels of badass!

And your first picture of NiGHTS is cute. I think everyone who is a NiGHTS fan treasures the first picture they draw of him... ..i was stupid and gave mine to a cousin who probably cares not for NiGHTS anymore.

And that Halloween one is aweomse, too.

The Reala pic was fun to do. I tried to use a limited pallet on it, throwing a little blue into every color I used. I liked the effect at the end =D

Get rid of art block? Hell, just do what i did with TRiPPY. Kick her arse into gear, lol! So, if GC can go over and visit you then while he's there he can pester you into drawing stuff...and before you know it you're drawing again. Well, it seemed to work with TRiPPY, lol. She ain't stopped drawing over the last few months. It's insaaaane!! XD
Art-blocks are nasty.

Being honest, i never got to play Darkstalkers on it's own. I have played as the characters in other games though, like Marvel vs Capcom 2, but i never got the chance to play Darkstalkers on it's own, sadly The character art was always kickass though. That game always had really interesting character designs.
And yeah, about the commission. Lol, i would need to get some money first anyway so it won't be for a while yet. But the idea is definately in my head so i'll come and seek you out when i have funds one day.

As for the latest stuff. Your Maren, Dawn. TRiPPY remembers him. She just informed me she drew him once. He's got some mad-ass design. Very cool.
And i wanna run through those bonus hoops. It looks so tempting. XD ....or fly, rather.

I remember that pic that TRiPPY drew! ... alas I don't have it anymore since the PC it was on sorta exploded and corrupted the C drive five ways to hell. ;_; It was truly awesome, though. The picture. Not the exploding PC. Um.

And we need to do something about that whole lack of Darkstalkers gaming thing. If I can find my games case ( and you guys have both A. a working Dreamcast, and B. a way to play Japanese games on it ), I'll loan you Vampire Chronicles. Though it may take a while since I've been looking for that case since before you posted that message up there. D:

But I just became so... inspired that I just went into some kinda arty transe and went with it, ahaha XD First time I'd properly drawn in about a year and a half, I think. ( I really hope it doesn't take a crisis to get me scribbling every time, man, that'd suck ) O.O

For the Reala 'Oh No My GLASSES!' Pic: I saw a little joke. Judging how he's REALLY easy to beat in NiD(at least for me...) I'm considering that he was blinded the whole time. No wonder in JoD he actually SEES that NiGHTS can paraloop and uses HUGE-BUTT CIRCUS BALLS.
