Akira is definitely my favorite manga. It is much better than the movie, in my opinion and is the only manga I have read so far that is equal to the greats of western comics.

Can't list my faves in specific order, but generally I collect them all because I like them, so here's my manga that I like.

Pet Shop of Horrors
13th Cat (I only have one issue)
Sorcerers and Secretaries (I think there are only two manga to this one, but I've only got one of them)

I guess it's about time I responded to this. I've never really been a manga person to be frank. I'd rather watch the anime unless the two are radically different from one another. I really like One Piece so I imagine I'd like the manga, but as it stands my favorite manga is:
Fist of the North Star
Mostly because I really like martial arts stuff and it's one of the rare occasions were I read the manga before I saw the anime and liked the manga more. Also, because Kenshiro kicks ass.

Hmm. Gensomaden Saiyuki, Bleach, and I used to collect Chobits too. Am currently eyeing the Deathnote books as well. Loved the series, want to see the manga art for those.

Anything by CLAMP. xxxHOLiC, Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles, Angelic Layer... yeah.
Ouran High School Host Club. (The local anime club wants to do a fandub of it. XD It should be interesting).
Naruto (I know, I know...)
FullMetal Alchemist. REALLY love this series.
Oh! My Goddess! (or Ah! My Goddess or Ah! Megami-sama!) It was the manga that first got me into the rest.
Death Note (I blame my insane fangirling buddies. But I'm trying to force them to play NiGHTS! ^^)
And Avatar: The Last Airbender. (If it really counts.)
I liked DNAngel too, same with Dramacon and Tokyo Mew Mew. Any Pokemon stuff is awesome. ^^ I personally prefer Kingdom Hearts the game over the manga, but whatever.
