I was browsing SA-chan's DA gallery when I stumbled unto her take of a gijinka Doom's Eye. Cute little bugger! Well, I had been wanting to design a Nightmaren for a while that wasn't a humaren or like Jackle. So thus, I was given my inspiration. I piddled away until I thought of a suitable design. Upon revealing this said design to Tenten, she quickly doodled it up.

However, there was a slight mistranslation somewhere in the head area. It was supposed to have a bell rung on it, not curled around.

My little Maren looked like he had some Pian in his woodworks, thus... I redubbed it a MEPIAN O' UBER CUTE.

Now... my challenge to all of you art people out there is to take this little rough design and see if you can come up with a variation to it. XD No, it's not a contest, and the best one doesn't get a prize or anything. You just get the knowledge that you helped to populate a new breed of Mepian... or if you can come up with a nice Maren version, that'd be good, too!
