I've lost any hope of NiGHTS DLC

the game hasn't sold enough units on the HD platforms to justify anymore DLC. They Metal Sonic DLC was probably priced the way it was because SEGA wanted to make some easy money off DLC that was already somewhat in development during the games development.

SEGA will pretend this game doesn't exist.

I finally decided to address this. I was in no mood to earlier after my initial reaction.

*sigh* This is all such typical Sega. It really is safe to say support for ASR is done with. Sega never seems to follow up with anything released for home consoles. It seems their general marketing plan is "drop stuff on the market a hope it does well. We made it so it's not our problem anymore." I suppose that strategy works to an extent when you can crank Sonic games out of the Sonic Team sweatshop and know they'll sell by the cover art alone.

This is also more testimony to the fact Sega doesn't market sh!t and have almost no idea how to build hype for titles. The last game I can seriously recall Sega putting significant marketing into was Bayonetta and look how that turned out. The damn thing sold like hotcakes. See Sega, investing time and money into promoting a major upcoming title can yield improved sales. Go figure.

I like Segas games and I adore AM2, but Sega Sammy management needs several slaps in the face. In pure fantasy land I'd love to see Sega lose their own rights to the Sonic license from April to March the next year. Just once. I'd love to see how they fare without the hedgehog to bolster their bottom line at the end of the fiscal year. Heaven forbid they actually try to sell their games for once.

All the same I need to thank SUMO for actually giving a damn. It's apparent from their final product they have a passion for what they do and damn if they aren't good at it. I have nothing but praise for them.
