Here is some more Beta footage!!
Japanese Sampler - Spring Valley
Japanese Sampler - Frozen Bell
Bonus CD from Japanese Sega Saturn Magazine
It's interesting that the Japanese sampler is more of a beta disc, whereas the North American sampler is a demo of the full release game. You get to play Spring Valley and Frozen Bell, just like in the E3 Beta, and you can notice the differences in sound effects and positioning of the chips and rings. There are some oddities too, like when you choose the kids the intro music will only play for Elliot and not for Claris.
The Bonus CD is from the Japanese Sega Saturn Magazine. There's actually a lot of stuff on this disc (videos, trailers, and demos) but the only NiGHTS related stuff are the 3 videos. The footage of Soft Museum has the most noticeable differences inside of the museum, and it also seems like the rings in the mirrors aren't functional yet. You can notice slight differences in Mystic Forest and Splash Garden too, although they are pretty close to the final release.

Oh man thanks for sharing! I've only watched the Spring Valley one so far but it's awesome the little differences, like the dualize noise and the fact that soundclip is actually USED in the Puffy battle! Oddly me and DiGi were arguing about that 2 nights ago while making dinner *lol!* It's also neat to see that the door in Puffys stage rotates instead of smashes.
EDIT- LOL ELLIOT HYAHHHs! ... oooh also Ideya capture score Mare logo

The ONLY difference I can notice is the stunt ribbons. In the E3 Beta it gives the tricks weird names like "Motion A15", but in the Japanese version it doesn't display anything for the trick names. Everything else appears to be identical, from the sound effects, the position of the chips and rings, and all the other little details that are not in the final release. Can you tell us if there is any difference between your Japanese version and the E3 Beta ?
As usual, you're welcome! Thanks for the vids, as usual
