Anyway, I enjoyed the voices, they really helped immerse me in tge story. NiGHTS' voice was startling at first, but then I realized, "Hey, this is how I always imagined him sounding!"

Owl voice was on point. I would expect an elder voice to be like that. He sounds intelligent on all dreams.
Will voice wasn't a surprise. I know his voice would be like that.
Helen voice seems calm so I had alittle time adapting to it.
Reala voice was right on point. I really expected that his voice would be just like that.
Wizeman voice was also on point because he was the nightmaren creater and he has a eco to his voice which makes him sound scary in a way that you wouldn't want him in your own dreams

Reala's voice...hmm...hard to discribe. But after a while, I developed a 'Fake British Accent' fetish...nowadays, his voice makes me fangirl squeal... o.o;;

Wizeman's got the perfect voice actor, though, hands down.

NiGHTS voice is rather overbearing, but I kinda like it. If I didn't feel like there was so much forced enthuiasm, and it were a little gentler I'd like it more. She sounded like a bad superhero... ;___;, but I liked the feminine voice.
But... OMG WIZEMAN'S VOICE IS AWESOME.

NiGHTS' voice wasn't neutral enough. Sorry, but I have to be guessing at whether or not it's a boy or a girl for it to be the perfect NiGHTS, and I haven't come across that yet. Maybe if they got the guy who did Yugi in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged Series to do NiGHTS, that would have been better. But that's just me.
The girl who did Helen seemed a little un-emotional. She could have gone with a little more feeling, especially with the first scene in the Memory Forest, when she finds out NiGHTS is a Maren. Like a little girl robot.
Will's voice did have emotion, but some of his word spacing was a little weird. Like when he says the line "Missing from my heart?" in the first scene of Lost Park. And he sounded a bit girly, but hey- he's twelve.
I liked Reala's voice, but it could have been a little more imposing. However, his laugh cracked me up.
The person (people?) who did the lesser Maren (especially Bomomba) did an awesome job. Those are some voices that are likely to keep me up at night.
And Wizeman... dang, where do I start? Perfect. He had the ultimate evil laugh, as well as the scholarly tone of voice that I alway imagine Wizeman having. Probably the best voice in the game.

NiGHTS: Personally, I think NiGHTS's voice is the best in the game. It's so warm and caring and makes me feel all fuzzy inside! Plus, whether you're a boy or girl, he looks and sounds like both.
Will: Uh...kinda hard to explain this one. He sounds kind of like a British accent mixed with an American accent.
Helen: Again, British with a little bit of American thrown in.
Reala: NO, just...just NO. I personally found his voice to be that of Jackle's. They made him sound a bit too much like an actual jester. Plus he laughs too much(definitely Jackle in disguise).
Wizeman: The voice of Wizeman was another good voice. DEFINITELY suits him. Need I say more?

Reala's was good except for the laugh. A bit more "Bwahaha" would be preferable to "Heeheehee."
Helen's voice actress didn't seem to be able to fake a happy tone, but when she was sad, the "choking on tears" effect sounded real enough to me most of the time. The tone and emphasis placed on certain words was awkward.
Will's I liked better. He sounded more like a real person, normal. There were a couple of odd slip-ups, though, like during the secret ending when Wizeman drags away NiGHTS. Instead of reusing the incredible, horrified "NiGHTS!!!" from the first ending, for some reason they went with a clip in which Will's voice cracked in typical preteen/early-teen fashion and it ended up wheezing out. Like Will was so shocked his vocal chords were partially paralyzed or something.
I agree with everyone on Wizeman. His voice was downright awesome! Just the kind of big, boomy, scary voice you'd think the creator of nightmares would have.

about Will, well, he was ok...but he could have did better, some of his lines didn't fit with the emotion of the scene, if you know what I mean
Helen...I hate her voice, it sounds so fake and please dont make me talk about her forced brittish accent, and her voice is so quiet that sometimes its hard to hear what she says
Reala...well, I still dont have a concrete opinion about him...he's okay, but I dont find his voice as "evil" as its supposed to be and please... whatever happened to the classic "MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Wizeman. Its not necesary to said that his voice is EPIC WIN, in every term that concerns on hos are bad guys supposed to sound like
Owl. He's okay, for a character like him the voice fits him well, thou the whole "visitor" thingy bothered me a bit; its that bad to call the childs by their real names?

when i played J.o.D 1st time. i literally did feel like i was being told a fairy tale, and in general. that's what it is, its a fairy tale being told through the dreams of young innocence. what was quite a pleasure that MY NAME IS Will. so when NiGHTS was talking to Will. it felt like he was addressing me personally. that's a nice feeling when you play a Unique game such as NiGHTS.
in general when people go to sleep and dream, it is a fairy tale going on in their head most of the time if not having a nightmare. (in which case is your fault because you dropped your Ideya of Courage leaving you at the mercy of NiGHTMARENS)
i really enjoyed NiGHTS journey of dreams, and played the living hell out of it. and even today its still enjoyable just running around the imagination dream lands. i think the one thing that made me fall in love with this game even more was its wonderful score. Dreams Dreams was everywhere but it has the right mood. the sweet moments in memory forest. to the remix when facing Wizeman's minions to save NiGHTS in the Bell bridge.
i know the original NiGHTS fans are also bit**** how the game's story wasn't faith full to the original. They're just mad because they expected the whole world and didn't get it. and i say screw them. THIS GAME IS AWESOME.

its very upsetting when nowadays all you hear is people bit***** about the voice overs (sorry, couldn't think of any other way to put it).

oh god finally someone that doesn't feel so bit***** about the game, good god it had its flaws yes but there's no such a thing as perfect game, it was still enjoyable, and even at this day I keep playing it
if we keep saying that the game was horrifying in comparison to NiD we'll surely never get a NiGHTS 3...or we'll morely like have to wait 20 years for it hahaha~

no kidding. if its anything i really hate. its over obssesive fan boys and girls who think they know the games better then the ppl who made them. (movies dont count if game based) and or vice versa. i wouldnt argue with the guys themselves lol. but yeah there are times where even the makers screw up. but this isnt one of those times. NiGHTS JoD was an awesome game and i feel was way better then the original.

I thought NiGHTS' Voice was a little over the top for his actions. an example being when helen's been paralooped by reala and NiGHTS just holds his hand out and doesn't try to help, and yet is shouting helen really loud or maybe that just means the actions were supposed to be better? no need to comment on wizeman, everyone's already commented on the awesomeness! and i think reala's voice was good, and admittedly the high laugh was a bit unlike him, but it made a good contrast to wizeman's low booming laugh. Wills voice was quite alright, i didn't have too many problems with him. Helens however, seemed to go really quiet at important parts, although that's not really the voice actors fault, more the music being too loud? either way, because NiD didn't have much voice acting, the voice acting could have gone so much ways, and we're lucky that it was quite good. admittedly, it could've went better with what's going on screen, but that's more the graphics causing the issue.
p.s. better than the original? well...each to his own opinion i guess...

instead of insulting the majority of the fanbase, why not just say your opinion of the voice acting?

i have the original. as good as it is. JoD buries it. it may not be as challenging. but who cares, it kicks so much ass that you forget about it. it has pretty much 10x the levels the first one did. story is better. if not entirley different, its just way better

Anyway, I think I've probably stated it before, but I think the acting in JoD is a largely mixed bag. Sometimes I was overjoyed, other times I cringed. Wizeman and Owl are easily the best performances and Helen was by far the worst since she had no idea how to act. Everyone else is various degrees of decent.

NiGHTS - Loved him/her the best kind of voice for an androginous (spelling?) bieng. Not to mention in NiD if you got hit you heard a high pitched "ouch" so it works with that as well.
Reala - Also liked his VA I thought it fit well (although the fights against him I have different thoughts about)
Wizeman - EPiC WiN
Will - Was ok, could have been better but could have been worse.
Helen - I liked her character but her voice was horrible, no other way I can say that. Also in dreams dreams her VA can't sing for ****.
those are my two cents.

I honestly wanted to switch the voices over to Japanese. Though I admit, NiGHTS' voice is alright. I don't like the fakey accent, though. At times I like Reala's voice and other times I find it entertaining to make fun of. Wizeman is decent, though it seems kind of strange to hear these characters talking.
