Just something weird to share with y'all.
So I'm playing NiD on a new file, clear Elliot's missions and start beating Claris' missions. I get to soft museum, beat it and fight Jackle. Midway through I notice something odd. Jackle is flying backwards, the way he does when you chase him...but I wasn't chasing him. I completely stop and watch him go around...and around. Pause. Get nearest video camera. Film it until I accidentally knock him back into combat mode. Youtube time.
{BEWARE THE SILLY MUSIC!}
Just another drop in the bucket of his insanity I guess. XD
Has this happened to anyone else?
(I wonder if his main method of travel is flying backwards... he only flies forward to get his cape lol.)

XD That's awesome! Will he just do that if you don't chase after him? I never stopped to find out.

No, just tried again and if you stop he still throws the damn cards at you. Even if he loops around the area he just turns to face you again instead of flying backwards like that.

0.0 You know, I just now noticed that Jackle's flight pattern corkscrews higher and higher as he goes along, but then that's easier to spot at this angle than the traditional 'omg chase!' angle. ^^;;; Still, I find it really interesting to know this, and I have yet to discern why. XDD
EDIT: I noticed this sooner, but somehow didn't realize it was worth mentioning - you went straight through Jackle's cape on that one pass. 0-0;;;

@Meggie: Yeah, me and my sis noticed that too. The actual audio behind the music I cut in was something like: "Hey...he's kind of going off screen." "Yep." "He's going to high...FOLLOW HIM >D" The he passed through NiGHTS which was a 'WTF?' moment. Then we grabbed his foot and got him all pissed at NiGHTS again. XD

And I just now wonder... this the PS2 version you're playing, yes?

Lol, that's great! I'm surprised nobody has come across this until now. Great find.

Wow. He just kinda...drifts...like he fell asleep while flying. Maybe he got bored waiting for NiGHTS? Or he hadn't had his quadruple-shot espresso yet?
The music made me smile.

Danke, DiGi. Glad you like it Metera.
And Meggie, it's actually the original saturn version...woah. Kind of weird now that I think about it.
It's been eleven years and no one else has ever seen this glitch? O_o

Seriously?!!! 0---0;;;; That is weird. I apologize if this question is a tad redundant, but this was played on a Sega Saturn instead of a PS2, right? I just want to make sure I understand this, because it could be that, if this was done on the PS2 version with the original graphics option, there's a possibility this is a glitch created by the transfer/remake of the code.And Meggie, it's actually the original saturn version...woah. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I really like the music you set to this; it bizarrely fits. XDDD

That is indeed, a very silly glitch.

Oh that Jackle lol. This is pretty weird though. It's like he doesn't even notice NiGHTS. Anyone else memorize the lyrics to that song?

I have had this happen to me, and I notice it happens when you chase him backwards while he throws his cards. Realizing he's doing the cork screw thing (which i never noticed) might make sense for this glitch (I know a little programming and how it usually works). All in all, since Jackle is not reacting to the point where NiGHTS is (since his axis are changing) he may be on a different path than the regular circle pattern. The program probably presumes it's not in a circle and is in the lead on it's linear climbing path and cannot return to his starting point (which is probably when he's attacked). But that's just my theory I would need to rip the game apart, which is at home right now....I guess the computer thinks it's winning but forgets its going around in a circle, lol. Something jackle would do....

*just now made this observation at the part where NiGHTS grabs Jackle's feet* Is it just me, or does he suddenly sprout an ARM?!!! 0-----0;;; *looks at it again* Ohwait, that's the edge of his hat. XDDD

I thought it was an arm too O__o

Hmmm, that is peculiar... But, having little to no Programing Knowlage, i wouldn't know was causing it. However, i do know a little Programing Jargon, and Moonlighttrill's theory makes a fair bit of sense.
Now i just need to get my hands on a copy of the game and see if i can get this Glitch to happen myself. And possibly any other hidden glitches or fuckups lying around in the Programming. =P
