I WOULD be here talking about a new game... but alas, I see no such upcoming game in sight... =-=;;
Instead, maybe we can talk about the series itself..? ^^;;
...Or something like that. Up to you.. ._.

Come on. I'm not the only one who made her and that evil Succubus battle over and over again.

I think Darkstalkers is a very interesting series. It certainly stuck out from other boring fighting games. The characters in this were crazy as hell. And that being said, i've hardly ever played the games and yet i like them a lot.
I hope to see more of Darkstalkers in the future

Yeah, anti-hero xD;.Morrigan is evil? I think she is more of an anti-hero if anything. Lol, well i know she's Scottish, that much i do know. Judging by her wikipedia article, she seems like quite a nice woman.....lol.

And Nellie, kudos on the thread's subtitle. I love the Darkstalkers anime and Trouble Man was a cool song.

I have to be honest, I never really got into the DarkStalkers craze from the start (Like I never got into ANYTHING from the start..) The only game I have is Chronicles: The Chaotic Tower or whatever that was because of that...
But I do hope that Darkstalkers keeps having sequels... the storyline is looking pretty interesting from what I've seen and read.

But, there is a group of us that play the game, and we all really like it. Vampire Savior is really fun.

My only hope for a potential new entry in the series is that they use the 2D anime aesthetic, rather than 3D renderings. The 3D rendering in Street Fighter IV looks fine, but Darkstalkers is a very cartoony series that would be best served by sticking to 2D. The same holds for Street Fighter Alpha.

Seconded. Capcom has screwed up enough of it's money maker's lately in untold numbers of ways (not localizing the LaytonWright crossover, DMC5, cancelling MML3, and not localizing other great games that Western fans have been foaming at the mouth for), they don't need to do it with yet ANOTHER franchise.My mentality is it needs to have hi-res 2D sprites or I'm immediately biased against buying it. Of course we all know that's not going to happen especially when you consider the lousy way Capcom has been acting over the last year or so. I wouldn't trust Ono with a sequel. I'd prefer Niitsuma. Regardless if the game can't be done right I don't want it done at all. I don't want the legacy tainted.
