Who else likes this series? I absolutely love it. And the fact that it's French is just a bonus for me, because... I'm half-French. XD
However, I will rant about one thing: Rayman Raving Rabbids. Though I find the RRR games to be very entertaining (heck, I even requested the sequel for my birthday and loved it), I REALLY want the series to return to it's platforming roots. I want them to make another a-la Great Escape. Y'know... Make it more epic again.
Ugh...
I swear. If you call yourself a fan just after playing RRR, then I outta SMACK YOU. That's like saying that you're a Mario fan after only playing Wario Ware.
...
ANYWAY. Anyone else have any thoughts on the series? Favorite game? Favorite character? Did you enjoy the only4episodeslong show that they made?

I love the older ones I only got to play the 2 and 3 of the original old Rayman series and actually have yet to even play any of the newer ones or actually any other of the part of series for that matter.

The only Rayman games I've ever owned is Raving Rabbids because a friend gave it to me.
I've always wanted to play the old ones but I never had any money back then. I'm looking into asking for some of the games for Christmas.
If that doesn't work out, I'm going to purchase them.
Is that wrong?
...kinda was a little taken back at the 'smack you' thing.
I'm sorry.

LOVE 'IM! Rayman's been a fave since the first game - hand-drawn pixels are a lost art, I tell ya. Though I can never clear that one music level... yes yes, it's only the second area, I KNOW I suck. XD
Rayman 2 was gobs of fun, and I really did enjoy Rayman 3! I'm even somewhat fond of Globox in that one. ^^
And the mini-series! We had the VHS of that! I've gotta find that beauty again. I thought Cookie was hilarious! And Billy West as Rayman? Sweetness!
And I do like RRR. Random insanity amuses me to no end.

LOVE ´EM.
I have been a fan since this one 9-year old kiddo got herself Rayman Revolution. :3
But i do not love the new games. At all. >__<
I think that they have kind of ruined the series with all those non-adventuric games and minigame collections.
1:st was okay, 2:nd was THE BEST, 3:rd was a bit "meeeeeeehhh?" but the fourth one has been a dissapointment, sadly. :(
There´s no epic adventure and exprolation, you just run around with acky bunnies protecting your new loony friends at the same time...Huh?
Personally i think that Michel...someone,can´t remember now, but anyway, he was the first person to make Raymans, especially the first and second ones, and i think that his ideas etc. can clearly been seen in these games, unlike the last two ones where some random dude has taken the power to desing them. -_-
The TV series was kind of okay mind play about "what if..." question focusing on Rayman 2. The voice actors and chacters were nice, but they should have made a decent ending. :/

I did want to play Raving Rabbids, but it became complicated and vague for me during, like... day-two-ish. Besides, I don't like to play the Arcade FPS segments, another reason I stopped playing it altogether.
(Though I was looking forward to that action brawler part... *sniff*)
If Ubisoft DOES release another Rayman platformer, I may give it another shot. Who knows, I may actually like it this (next?) time.

Wow, I'm suprised to see ANYONE knows about the infamous four episode Cartoon. Man, Billy West would've been perfect for him if he just lost the accent he originally gave Rayman.
As for the games, I do agree, I'm not fond of these mini-game collections. I want to see more games like Rayman 2. Incidentally, I still have my Greatest Hits Copy of Rayman 1, in perfect working condition, too!

I was a fan when I got Rayman 2. f*!*ing awesome game right there. Rayman 3 was... ok. I didn't like it too much >>.
RRR 1 and 2 got me back into Rayman. I swear. Those Rabbids are awesome 8D! Oh, and, Ancel DID INDEED do a lot of work on the new games. He was in-charge of the 1st one until he suddenly left. I think the new mini-game format is pretty fun, if that's what you're looking for in the game. If you're just hoping to see Rayman or play like his old games... it might disappoint you >>. It's more fun if you have friends around too. RRR2 was my favorite Wii game by far, because it was so damn funny |D. Our whole family was ROFLING on the floor about everything, from the mini-game where the rabbids scream into the cell phone, to the different 50s, 60s, and 70s songs that the Rabbids sing (and what they do on stage). XD. It's really funny if you have that kinda sense of humor; if not, you're probably just not gonna like it.
I still hope it goes back to it's roots though; Playing it as an action-adventure game (like The Great Escape) on the Wii or PS3 has a very entertaining value.
Hmm... does anyone know, is Rayman making a role in the Citizen Siege game and/or movie?

I liked the games until those rabbits appeared. Didn't seem like Rayman to me anymore to be honest.

I played the very first Rayman game using the school computer once when I was in the second grade. I think. I loved Rayman's design, but then I sort of... lost interest.

I still haven't completed the first Rayman. That game is HARD! That music area with the slidy platforms... augh. I suffer so much death, there D: I love it, though. Fun, creative level visuals and an awesome soundtrack to boot.
I never got to play the second one, but I do have the third on the GameCube. It was... decidedly less hard than the first game ( I actually beat it, haha ), though that stage with the floating skeletal bird thingies manages to creep me out every time I play through it... It's the music it plays when they're on the screen XD
Fun, fun games.
I remember watching the first two or three parts of that 4-episode series on youtube last year, and being surprised at Rayman's voice. But that's all I can honestly remember about it apart from some circus theme...
But yeah, I don't count myself as obsessed with it, but I'm certainly a casual fan of our helicopter-haired friend.
