Is it just me, or did that flying dolphin in the first level of Sonic Shuffle look JUST like those future dolphin things from the second Ecco? (I don't know what they're called, I played it for 30 minutes, got bored, and plugged in Gunstar Heroes)

I only played the first one. I tried that Ecco Jr. crap and I was ready to throw it out a window. You can't even die! You don't even need air or need to eat! WHAT??? XD You swim around and make Ee Eee noises. The end. I only like the original.. When I got it for my ninth birthday, I played it all the time, and still play it when I visit home.

Gunstar Heroes on the other hand... *Droooool~* I play that all the time with my younger brother. (the one for the Sega, not that new one..)

GunStar Heroes for the GBA. It's a nice game, great story. But no co-op.

I never got to play it. It looked good, though. I'm not a fan of portable remakes of Genesis games.

NiGHTS on DS I would buy, though.

I totally missed out on Ecco. I could never own it. I got to play the first one a few times but could never get past the first level. (I really sucked!) I played and beat Ecco Jr. when I had the Sega Channel for awhile. (I may have missed out on a lot of things. But at least I got to try that!!!) I had some fun with it because I could actually do good on it. I was seven though so I those little puzzles were a challenge to me. But it was to repetitive.

Game: Find and move the five crystals over here.
Me: That sound is getting annoying. No! Wait. Not there! Go this way! THIS WAY! No I don't want to talk to you! Shut up! NOOO! Its falling! Up up! How come you won't go diagonal?! A little more...YEAH! Now 4 more to go....>.<

Oh Sega you always gave me a hard time when I was little. I wish I could play Ecco again.

---Edit--
I just saw a PS2 version of the game! Is that any good? Probably not...

Lol, one of my favorite games when I was little was Ecco for Dreamcast...Such purty graphics! ^_^ I would just go and jump and do tricks for hours, soaking up what was called eyecandy back then..Oooh! Now I wish I had my dreamcast..I wanna play it and PowerStone..>.<
Hmm. This has become offtopic, but I'm part of the problem soo..Ehe.

I only had it for 2 months. I remember playing some kind of kids game too. "The Milkshake is overflowing!" WTF?! lol Oh my childhood.

I hate it too when I buy a game and find out how much it stinks.

Still, we could at least have Ecco jumping up and down in the water on the levels or someting. I like the portable tank idea. lol

XD That's a good talent. Anyways, if/when I rent it, I'm probably going to have a little trouble because I've never actually played golf nor do I know the rules except for the basic concept: Get the little ball in the hole in as little hits as possible. Perhaps I can recruit my brother to instruct..he used to play golf on occasion. Or, I'll borrow a camera of some kind and upload my pathetic attempts to play up here so you guys can watch!

I agree, but SEGA sadly seems to be promoting Space Channel 5 more than Ecco, TJ&E, or Alex Kidd.

It seems almost like Sega of Japan is making the good (sometimes...) games based on their games, and SOA is just making games with big ol' explosions....... ^_^

I figured out SEGA's gameplan!

Again, no problem. The prompting of a loss of ice cream is another of my specialties.

I know! You would think they made better games, but SONIC and Yakuza were all terrible!

Its American influance! We are making think more and more about trying to make money that they are fogeting what made them great in the first place. Actually making the games as great and fun as possible is what made them great. America messed up the video game franchise when we first got ahold it. So I think its a good idea that they don't copy us.

---Edit---
No! My boyfriend is bad mouthing Ecco now. He says he always hated it. He didn't see the point in it. "There were no Mushrooms, no rings, no ideya, no nothing but 'eeee' 'eeee'. " he says. But this is coming from a guy who plays mostly plays RPG's though.

NiGHTS into... GOLF? WTH?
I'll buy it, for NiGHTS and Ulala. Sonic has some influence. I wouldn't care if this didn't see an American release, I might even be happy. I mean, woo-hoo. Golf. Oh, it has SEGA characters. That makes the game 10 times as fun. Making it,on a scale of 1-10 in level of funness, a negative forty-two. Yay.

Hmm, lets see...

SSG? Sega Splash Golf, or Super Swing Golf?

Wow, a gold course that looks like the first course in Super Swing Golf, and holy crap, all this game play looks familiar, like I don't know, it reminds me so much of a recently released game on the Wii called super Swing Golf. And look! It has Sonic! It figures. Sega couldn't steal other people's material unless they had Sonic in it. Death Star/Egg, Super Saiyan/Sonic, Shadow/Metal Sonic/Reala/hundreds of other things, Silver/Trunks and the future crisses he must prevent which is Iblis/Androids, Sega Splash Golf aka SSG/Super Swing Golf aka SSG.

And if this is for the Wii, I almost guarentee it copies EVERYTHING off Super Swing Golf. They've already started with a very simular course, ability to change clothing, and ability to select caddies (although golfing games should of done that one all along, no I'm not mad at the copying here. Sega's copying may actually be better with NiGHTS, Knuckles, Reala, and Eggman as a caddie (even though only NiGHTS and Sonic are confirmed as caddies, I think the other two would be awesome).

Sega, your loseing it, bad. I thought it was just Sonic Team that lost it, but now you've crossed an unreturnable line. Now I'm actually glad Sega doesn't make consoles anymore...

And that was the corniest trailer I have EVER seen. Especially the breakdanceing and the rotating girl with the mic.

For fairness' sake, the whole "travel to the past to prevent a crisis" thing is a genre more than solely belonging to DBZ, the "powered up" version of characters is another sort of common thing in a lot of games/series (Power Stone, Pocket Monsters, DBZ, Sonic, any game that has a leveling system...), golf is an actual game, so you're bound to run into similarities between games. XD SEGA's not necessarily ripping anyone off, but possibly drawing on popular concepts, like any good company does when they want to sell a game.

And it's for PC, insofar as I can tell.

...and a golf ball smacking a Pian in the face is an amusing image. XD

Im betting this is one of those odd little games that never sees life outside of Japan. It looks like some sort of Golf/Dating Sim/Party game, and y'know how well they sort of things do over there. Mind you, it looks like fun.. kinda.
Ok, im just waiting to see if there's a NiGHTS themed stage : D
