So, what have you all been listening to recently? What's your favorite genre of music? Etc. and etc.
Myself, I've been rotting my ear canals with lots of Rock. lol. Classic Rock, mostly Rolling Stones, a little bit of Nirvana, Wolfmother (If you haven't listened to ONE of their songs, GO NOW. Their music is really good, imo. ), and a few tracks from Guitar Hero I and II. I've also given DEVO a healthy amount of space in me brain. Lol, I'm so retro
I've also been pushing myself back into listening to 'The Police', more John Lennon, and a little bit of Wings.
What 'bout you?

+1 to your coolness, dude. Dragonforce is confirmed in number 3. Rejoice.a few tracks from Guitar Hero I and II
I've always had a mixed bag when it comes to my music collection; I grew up on Classical Music, got into Jazz/Punk/Ska/Dance in high school, then J-Rock/Metal/Rock/Melodic Trance over the past few years. At the moment, I've been re-living my high school days with lots of Reel Big Fish *I need to get their latest album though, from what I've heard, it's awesome*, and also been listening to plenty of Foo Fighters *again, I need to get their last few albums, I only have their earlier stuff at the moment*
Aaaaand I've also been heavily into Muse, Tool, Porcupine Tree, and Blackfield (If you don't know those last two, poke around and have a look, Steven Wilson's stuff is very good).
In other words, I've been really into a lot of music at the moment XD

My favorite bands are Daft Punk and Jamiroquai. I have listened to both of them quite recently.
I also listen to a lot of game music, but that's too broad to really categorize.

In terms of music i've been listening to...well..it's a bloody mixed bag since i've been living here. I'm still all for Tupac Shakur, Common and Sway but now it's also about music i heard when i was a kid, so i've also got Spice Girls, Take That and Madonna on the roster. Oh, and East 17. To add on to that, we've got some various dance music that Lynne plays that ain't too shabby aswell as the occasional rock song here and there, especially that 'Dreaming in Digital' song which is alright. Also, top my list off with a bit of Gym Class Heroes, and that's my list completed.
...and reading it back, what a batch of songs that is. XD;;

i just never really know when im gonna find something i like or dislike. its kinda randomized. but basically, when i hear something i like, i listen.
Lately, though, ive been listening to "Eight Melodies" from the soundtrack of "MOTHER"..... been listening to it alot... dunno why...
i just find it to be overly relaxing and uplifting. beautiful and wondrous to hear...

My 80-minute MP3 Player has two tracks on it:
"Lucid Dream Red Mix" by Elucidate (around 75 minutes) <3
"Ganon Hates Grating Cheese" by MrSimon (~1:15)
How's that for imbalance? I say EXCELLENT!
Omfg, "Ganon Hates Grating Cheese". <3 it when I saw it on Youtube. His other music is pretty good too.
Anyways, I don't listen to much, as I have NO ACTUAL CDS WHATSOEVER. I don't have an iPod or CD player either, and I don't want to pay for songs on my phone (lame >_>;. Sooo, most of the music I listen to is video game music (which is good to download because nobody really cares about it). Oh, and DDR/Dancing Stage for U.K. songs *hugs Stepmania* with some form of strings or brass instrument playing the melody. >_>

As for my tastes...
Orchestral music (uses same instruments as classical but sounds more modern, like from those epic movies).
Video Game music (how many times has this one been done, lol)

A Purgatory-based playlist I have.. Mostly been listening to Stupid Mother F*cker and Shut Me Up by Mindless Self Indulgence, I Hope You Die by The Bloodhound Gang, Pinch Me by the Bare Naked Ladies, Soul Meets Body by Death Cab For Cutie, and Float On by Modest Mouse. And a lot of Muse. O_O
Odd, I was just listening to "Float on", Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo by The Bloodhound Gang and Hysteria by Muse XD
Nirvana >.< I have all their albums, Kurt's lyrics and music have been stuck in my head ever since I heard "Smells like Teen spirit"

I love those songs too. I had to make a copy of the CD for my boyfriend too. He thinks their great.Actually, Daft Punk are really good. I don't have any of their songs yet but me and TRiP were watching that music/movie thing they did called, Galaxy 5555 or whatever it's called. XD Most of the songs in there done good with me so i wanna get their songs soon.
As for what I listen to genra wise: rock, hard rock, alternative, alternative rock, video game, anime, techno, pop, dance, jazz, orchistra, classical, instrumental, industrial, metal, folk, Jpop, and so many others I just can't think of or give a catagory too. I listen to a very wide range. But Techno and rock are the most faviorte of the bunch. I listen to mostly songs I can download and I have been listening to the same wide range of songs recently. Heck, I am still listening to select Shadow the Hedgehog music and some of DeZ's songs. (Oh crap I haven't downloaded Seceret Rings Music yet. >.< )
As for what s sitting in my cd player/clock right now...The Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack Disc 2. I wake up every mourning the Marilyn Manson's version of Halloween Town. Sometimes I swich it out with Evanescence though.

Despite the fact that a friend of mine brought over two Evanescence albums and Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory one, I don't have the CDs. Just the MP3s stored in my Library. I want to get the actual CDs.

A Few tracks from the first 3 Rockman.EXE Games (Old-School GBA Synth Music. Nice...)
NiGHTS Into Dreams... (But of course!)
Sonic CD (U.S. and JAP Versions. Both soundtracks have their Stinkers and their Shiners.)
Music from the first 2 Street Fighter EX Games (Im sorry, the games might have been bad, but the Music is some of the best in the SF Series hands down. ESPECIALY EX2 and EX2+)
The Main Theme from the first Space Harrier (Right up there with the Ledgandary 'Opa Opa!' from Fantasy Zone and 'Magical Sound Shower' from Outrun. Good times, goooood times.)
And on a incredibly random note, and 8-Bit Chiptune ReMix of... Never gonna give you Up by Rick Astley. Yes, im Rickrolling myself every damn day- Watch me care! XD
